Hello fifth state, Punjab is no more the bread basket of India. It's a river of drugs of India. Reality of Punjab being bread basket of India is untrue, look for the facts.

Look at these protests, how many Indians do you see here representing other states of India. I'm a sikh as well and literally no one in my family and friend circle wants Khalistan or even cares to talk about it. It's a very small minority who doesn't even live in Punjab that wants it. In Punjab, no one wants khalistan.

Major chunk of Indian immigrants are from a state in india called Punjab. And most of them belong to Khalistani Ideology which is a violent anti India organisation. So these people if you notice are quite rude, arrogant, and loud in nature. They don't care of other's and will play some loud punjabi music in public places. Most of them are illiterate and have entered canada by some illegal way. They have a big Nexus through which they enter canada by some illegal means. People from non punjab region are in general peaceful and follow local laws. They just want to work there and live a good life. The only people to blame for this is the immigration dept. If they had proper rules in place then only proper educated and decent people would've come there instead of many people with criminal or rowdy background who even falsify there IELTS score. As someone said in comments that most of the people in Canada especially Brampton are from small villages in Punjab who have barely seen n lived in big cities in India itself. And it's true everyone in India knows that Brampton is mini Punjab, Punjab with cold weather. I have many friends who have gone to Canada and some of them were living in Brampton also for some time, but everyone left, they all say that Brampton is just a rowdy place and does not seem like you are in a developed country coz of the ruckus the Punjabi people make their and most of the educated people going from India to Canada wants to avoid Brampton.

I been in Canada since age 11 and now 48. It is great to be part of both sides as I m an Indian born but got best of both countries and values. I work for a very large company and I feel I treated fairly and with utmost respect. Fact is Canada was hard for me when I started school from grade 6 to grade 10. I then changed schools and I was not bullied and face racist people. I went to diverse school. So diversity is good. Now my kids grew up here and feels at home but now there so many Indians here and clearly people here are annoyed and racism is become quiet high. I was verbally abused by strangers with racist slurs in the last few months. When I go shopping I been getting picked on by strangers at least 5 to 6 years the last 5 years or so. But now people don’t care and they act more and more racist. Indians sending there kids here should be aware of this. Also kids from India come here and try to do parties and drugs also. This becoming common. There is also many idiots from Punjab also. Many have criminal and drug and alcohol problems and they bring it here. It’s getting quiet messy. The government issues visa without checking peoples background. It’s madness. Stay safe. Canada is good country but the risks are also there now.

Some of the data shared is incorrect. For example you dont need 190k salary for mortgage. Even someone with an average income of 60k can own a home. Housing crisis is in major cities like Toronto, Vancouver the same like we see super expensive housing in Mumbai for example. \n\nPregnant lady does not have to wait for 30 weeks. That is completely incorrect. \n\nThe drug problem and the images that you share is from Vancouver which you mentioned already but that is not the case you see in Ontario, Alberta or any other province. Its like how Punjab has drug problem but it doesnt mean that Gujarat is the same when it comes to drugs. \n\nThe protests currently happening around deportation is also due to the fact that so many students from India were scammed by an Indian agent who sent them to Canada on fake admission letters. Those students were not enrolled in any colleges and came to Canada on fake documents. \n\nI agree that Canada is very difficult for immigrants to come and build at this point. This wasnt the case 10 years back. But this is true to only densely populated cities. Everyone wants to go to Toronto and Vancouver so it has made the situation tough in those cities. But there are other provinces and cities that are still easy to settle down and build your life. \n\nCanadian locals being not immigrant friendly is not whole truth. Some % of locals yes they are fed up of too much immigration but do search for videos or news article of Indian students in Brampton fighting and you will get the answer on why some of the Canadian locals are being wary about immigrants now a days. \n\nIt is hard to settle down in Canada yes. For someone who is having a decent salary in India can live a good life in India instead of choosing to struggle. But someone are made to chose the hard path to success.

Some facts are true but honestly its not that bad.. people do qualify for mortgages with 80k income as well.. may be a smaller house.. and the point where they mention we will pay debt for the rest of our life think of the time when our parents took loan to build houses in india and they paid a debt as well. It is because any first generation will have a struggle in any new place or country.since we were born in families where house was not a problem in india we think its easy. May be just move to a different city like move to Delhi from punjab and buy a home there. Can a youg guy in his 30’s take a loan from bank in india and make those big EMi’s in india which is about 30 to 50k a month in india.? Its going to be hard to buy a home in india itself coming from a middle class family.. so the mortgage struggle is relevant every place or a new city.\nAlso think of the basic things like cleaner air and water which people love in canada which by the way its almost impossible to get a Air quality index of 2 to 4 in any city in India.. basic things make a huge difference. anyways. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it.
