I’m an expatriate, currently in Malaysia. Honestly, I feel like it’s a heaven. Paying $600 per month for a 1550 sqft 3 beds big apartment and having 2 bunnies ?? as our pet. Maintaining a BMW 5 series car. I roughly make $110k-$120k a year and my overall expense in Malaysia about $36-40k yearly and having a lavished life. Every month me and my wife go for trip as it has so many beautiful places including stunning islands and highlands. The only issue is here they don’t provide PR or citizenship, however it’s a truly heaven if you have a solid visa status. I was planning to move to Canada but after watching the video I’ve been disappointed and I’m afraid to visit Canada. What do you think about moving to US?

So let me be clear: the Aboriginal People have absolutely every single right to be disgruntled and complain if any nation is to do so especially after having been swindled and bamboozled out of their land and space and way of life. This is why if any nation/ group is expected to raise up and fuss and complain it’s the Natives/Indigenous People. The circumstances are not even remotely near the same here with Canadians today versus what the Aboriginals went through pre-European Canada. We don’t even need to go there. Naturally, any one particular group that occupies a certain space and then has said space slowly taken over by another group/nation will be displeased to say the least and it is their right to complain. Truly no one nation or group can occupy any land or space forever as no one truly owns the land to begin with. Who’s disputing that?? So why even complain at all over something we don’t even truly own, even though we have somewhat of a right to do so?? The world is gradually becoming more of a melting pot of different races of people. And needless to state, Canada is a country of many nations and it would be very unbecoming of any minority immigrant to be here and be racist towards and complain about the other ethnicities/minorities here. Hence what triggered my comment in the first place. Immigrants wanna boldly come here and change things to suit them. This is Canada! And that’s not how things work here. Why come to my home and then complain about the occupants? Just go back where you came from. Period!

Canada is very beautiful country honestly they tried! However I feel the pain of African travelers truly It's sad. All the blame must go to for sooo called African politicians/leaders. They're the problem! GOD blessed the continent but there is no caring leaders their greed is leading Africans to live their country. They just happened to move to this area because of close proximity to Toronto and affordable housing at one time. In the early 80s, there was an influx of Indians that moved to a large housing apartment on Weston rd and st. Clair. As they got their feet on the ground with jobs, they moved to Brampton/Mississauga because there was a boom of new housing. It’s no different from other places in the gta like when the Europeans came, they congregate to certain towns and cities. Woodbridge with Italians, Portuguese in certain areas in Toronto, Chinatown, et cetera. And people are speaking their own languages in these cities I mentioned. This is truly about a visible minority. European immigrants in the 50s to 70s were told that there was too much immigration as well. It’s a cycle

Multiculturalism is amazing when it is truly balanced. Though when the percentage is overwhelmingly one group of people, you have issues like blatant discrimination. I have met many Blacks and Filipinos who complained about being denied employment and housing in Brampton because they were not brown.

Ok.. I haven’t any issues with the Indian people. I would however like to see certain things adopted for everyone’s sake. For example; fast food has been popular since the 60’s & 70’s it hit popular because menu items were tested and the way a burger is assembled right down to the condiments was worked out by the franchisers and food experts in the North Americans tastes and preferences. To be uncomfortably honest. I have not had a burger from a fast food restaurant that I truly enjoyed for a few years now. And I suspect that franchisees from India and the preferred employees also Indian do not grow up eating North American cuisine and do not fundamentally understand how foul too much condiments can make an item. And there is seemingly Zero effort to learn how to correctly assemble the products. Quite frankly I would be surprised if the employees that do the work would eat the food they make due to the culinary culture. And if they do.. I doubt it prepared in the same manner as for average customers. I just don’t think mayonnaise, ketchup & mustard are used in India on food. How would we expect them to understand the mistake at all.

Why the census census states Punjabi and not Indian is that we have a distinct cultural difference. Sadly a lot of the deterioration Brampton is going through is probably what is atypical of Punjab in Pakistan and India. It's the norm to be commit to a time and not show up, commit to work and not complete it, filling out incomplete forms, not being truly honest on your taxes, etc. It's just cultural - no one challenge me on this as I'm ethnically Punjabi from all 4 grandparents!\n\nAlso Canada isn't multicultural as it has an overwhelming amount of Indians, Pakistanis, Philippinos, and Chinese. The Trudeau government is scrambling now to address the housing crisis. In the next few weeks you'll see a myriad of announcements to prep for the election. Don't fall for it. Not saying the Conservatives are any better but I think we are due for some change in one way or another.\n\nMyself and most of my friends are in the top 1% of earners and we are nowhere near close to buying houses/apartments in Toronto and Vancouver. I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. The exact same seed of a man named Abraham. Both parties need not to like or even tolerate each other, but they both need to respect each other’s right to co exist within that space. I’ve heard some disgusting vitriol from both sides, honestly. Both sides have and are behaving like animals. Infact animals are more civil, as their disputes are settled in a more humane manner, without the casualties within their communities. Yet, despite being created in God’s image with the ability of sophisticated communication, both sides are unable to get past their own hurt pride, at least for the sake of the innocent lives that have and continue to be lost on BOTH sides, to finally squash this matter once and for all.\n\nGrowing up I had a cousin . We both were the only Sons of our respective immediate families’, born to identical twin sisters, 3 months apart. From\nA young age everything was competition between us. Who ran faster, jumped higher, threw further. Every thing we did, and we spent a lot of time around each other, was constantly turned into a “who does it better”. This resulted in us usually throwing down as one of us, feeling like we may be on the losing end of any given task, would just get frustrated, and start soccer punching the other. And my cousin and I from the time were off the diary to the day we both matured, would THROW down. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. Funny how they want to blame immigration. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. I've seen it first hand. \n \nOh and, the influx of Indian immigration boosted Canada's GBP by $20 Billion, last I checked. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. Not only that, but they have to work TWICE as hard to get HALF of what their white counterparts do. \n\nAlso, lets not forgot how unsympathetic white America was when black Americans were going through the crack epidemic. They didn't get a shred of the support that's being given out today, instead it was jail. \n\nWhite Privilege is very real and especially in countries like Canada and the United States. If white people fall through the cracks this hard en masse in a society that makes it easiest for them to succeed, then it's truly over. The decline will continue.

I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. That's the ideal refugee. Someone with money in a war-torn country such as Sudan are high targets and completely deserve to run away to a safe country like Canada - especially if they can afford to spend money and stimulate the economy.\n\nStop attacking the people. This is a housing crisis issue that has been so poorly managed that these deeply rooted symptoms are beginning to show.

I lived in the city on and off as a kid and I saw homeless people every now and then depending where I was. I fell in love with the areas I lived in and seeing where my dad grew up and high park. Now I don’t feel safe. I don’t even think I’d feel safe bringing my dog down and visiting my family. Now I see a lot of people homeless in nicer areas and just everywhere. It’s truly so sad my dad even said that it there was problems when he was growing up but now it’s just so much worse.

the west is neglecting the people born here and flooding our countries with millions of people from the third world. the US has just as insane immigration numbers as us. I don't think most people hate immigrants but we cant sustain these numbers any more its killing us all. I truly believe that Canada is made stronger by the contributions of new Canadians from all walks of life. \n \nOn a personal note, I am so grateful for the love and acceptance that my daughter's partner from India has brought into our family. Their relationship has taught me so much about different cultures and traditions. Why is the healthcare system considered great? It's truly appalling. I had to wait 8 hours for my son to see the doctor at a Children's Hospital for a check-up on his diarrhea, and the doctor only needed five minutes to complete the entire examination. I've never encountered such a terrible healthcare system anywhere on this planet.

First of all you took 3 years to do this extremely limited investigation that doesn't even begin scratch the surface. Your interviews are selective and show only a certain problems. If you truly investigated, you would have looked at government programs at ALL LEVELS of government. The rules and restrictions that are applied like, healthcare, CPP, Disabilities both mental and physical, welfare, and the host of other programs that for most part create and maintain poverty and are nothing more that government fraud and covered up at all government levels. As a one time homeless and then advocate for homelessness, I can tell you first hand that money destined for these programs is often gobbled up by faux do goods who actually pocket this funds for themselves.

Born in the 50s and I have watched Canada steadily decline to the point that in 2024 many Canadians are struggling to pay the bills, buy food and have given up any hope of owning a home......it is truly sad how far our country has deteriorated.

Canada has every quality to became No. 1 country in the whole world but its Government include central and provincial are not working to make Canada No. 1 in the world.
