As an NRI for a decade in Germany, I can assure you that not a single person in the developed western world looks at India with a nicer opinion. They think of it as a necessary baggage. They will only allow Visa on Arrival/E-Visa for people whom they respect and would like to be in the country. While I do not want to get into how some Indians behave when they are on their EU trip, Indians in India do not behave well too. This involves hygiene, roads, infrastructure, intelligence, corruption, etc. Indians tend to look at the Indian flag with tears in their eyes while listening to A.R. Rahman’s “Vande Mataram” with Bharat Bala’s video. But the reality in the western world is this: India is a loud, messy, unhygienic, poorly organized country filled with corruption and crime everywhere. Now, why would a well-developed country open their doors to potentially unruly 1.4 billion people? The reason for visa rejection is that a lot of them simply apply for a tourist visa and never leave. If someone really needs to travel, they will have the money and the motivation to apply multiple times. Hence, the first check with multiple layers of bureaucracy.

All those people have lived in their countries, they grew up there so they should just stay there. The same is regarding people who Germany welcom d qnd the German government is trying to push on other EU countries. This is hipocracy!

India should reciprocate in a similar way as EU nations, New Zealand, Australia, and the USA, with the need of list of documentation and waiting times.

Those that have abused these privileges have made it more difficult for the genuine travellers to get visas. UK may be refusing 17% of visas however Indians were the highest number of migrants into uk year ending June 24. 86% migration into Uk was from non EU countries and Indian was the most common nationality for non-EU+ immigration for both work-related (116,000) and study-related (127,000) reasons in YE June 2024.

The EU is becoming more xenophobic because of their immigration crisis. This is not specifically against Indians. The rejection rates rise also for African countries, Turkey, Russia, Central Asian and other countries. The only exception is the countries that agree to align fully their foreign and internal policies with Brussels (the new European colonies also known as the EU candidates).

Indians go to Europe via Turkey, etc and enter EU. These disgustimg people then burn the passports and apply assylum. Then Indian consulate refuses to acknowledge them as their identity can't be proven. They become like parasites ans change host after sometime

The process for Visa and the backup documents is pretty transparent and available at the country's or VFS website. I have been travelling to Europe and my visa has not been rejected. But I still do see a lot of people not understanding the process, documentation required. The documentation is usually about proof of stay, proof of travel and proof of financial strength. Please do not talk about the 5th largest economy. We are 143rd in GDP per capita. Among the illegal immigrants into USA India ranks third, to the UK it ranks 9th and is a significant number into the EU. With immigration a hot topic in the west today, this was inevitable.

I can't seem to recall, but recently an eminent news personality gave a speech at Oxford about how the Indian passport was happily being waved around at the British airports. That, since the last decade, people of the EU and the Americas have learnt to respect the Indian republic more than ever. So, passports are respected, but the visas get rejected.

It's clearly differentiation west do with Indian passport. I faced many issues with EU visas processing, specially for FR and they never provide clear answer but just sound like reason for eating visa fees.

I hate to admit but its true that good number of indians are desperate to relocate to eu, us au etc...one of my colleague who came from US was in 2013 crying that his child's you tube video does not buffer.. how will he suvive here in India???..

Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.

Why is india not asking for visas to enter the country? Especially from developed countries like UK, EU, US. India should atleast ask for tourist tax from foreigners. Many EU countries impose tourist tax from tourists. Today we see many foreigners making youtube videos of Indians to make money. Pay tax for the money earned in India

Please fact check your video. Atleast in EU shengen irregular immigration from Indian subcontinent is a social hot potato. Refer Portugal for example- theres an entire parliamentary debate this week on addressing the social havoc irregular subcontinental immigration has caused. The scenario can be true for most Mediterranean southern European countries. Ground reality is most of West is not dependent on India for skilled immigration. Infact most that comes through is low skilled labour. Skilled STE(A)M immigration is a not a high percentage. Until India changes this, the passport strength will not improve.

India is the 5th largest economy. Is that the reason why Indians any level should not be rejected visas. Well, out of all Indian revenue 90% wealth belong to only 10% population and rest of all Indians are living below poverty line. Usually those who can prove that they will return to India from countries like Australia, UK, New Zealand, EU, UAE and USA as you mentioned then they are given visas, otherwise no luck.

A failing country like Canada will absorb into US.\nTop 5 countries in this list have large population, hence, other countries will struggle competing with them.\n\nChinese immigrants in the west are declining and very soon most Indian immigrant too leave EU/Canada for better\nopportunities' in Asia.\nAsian countries dominate this list. So, considering this, start building more relationship with Asian nations;\nthis is your insurance for future.

Speak the truth my brother. I live in the UK and refused to go to any other EU nations or for that matter Dubai NZ Australia etc. What's wrong with Salvador Brazil, African nations, the Caribbean and Latin America? Its completely Indias business who they give visas to. Dont think it is your birth right. To question why India did not give visa is directly interfering in India’s sovereignty. \n\nNow lets talk about how Canada give visas to Indians. If they are ex armed forces you ask them their service details. Do you do the same for EU or US? This is at the same time unethical and racist. But you never seem to question those.

Immigration MAY play a role in rising prices... In fact, it's negligible. Private Equity and Corps are using the excuse of 'immigration' to intentionally drive up prices. Why have prices increased generally. The Gov't printed too much money to keep the Corps/Bay St Happy and share prices up. They should have just rode it out like the rest of the World (aside from Western Countries, You see the exact same thing happening... Rising costs, mass immigration, etc. coincidence? ?) . So in fact, it's not that things got more expensive... our currency deflated. Aside from US and EU at least... majority of our immigrants aren't illegals, refugees, people seeking asylum, etc. They actually can bring value to the economy (some would disagree... ?, besides that). As long as the Gov't ends the TFW BS... we'll be fine. Maybe... Doesn't help when Can Officials are sharing the bed with Sikh business Tycoons... These are the same issues the U. S. Is facing now. The EU was established to help European nations address these issues. Would a U.S. Canada union modeled after the EU have a positive impact on these issues in both countries? It is an interesting thought.

Any politician/corporation/CEO that supports, ignores or enables the breaking of laws, should be considered to be in breach of those laws as well. Any one that makes use of or allows illegal (as in breaking the law) immigration/immigrants should be removed from the post and jailed. \n\nWhy do liberals progressives think they are above the law or that they only need to follow the laws that they want too? Indians should reform the education field in its borders atleast to try to reach level of Rwanda, EU, Swiss, Fin and other education and humenresourses golden standerds countries, crocking past is not wise.

The West, especially in Europe, is trying to increase their GDP by selling dreams to immigrants: get high-salary jobs in EU. When immigrants come, they can't find jobs but they have to consume food, rent house anyway, for 6-12 months. At the end, they can't find jobs and have to leave. Suddenly, those people will have already given a lot of money to the local European country. What cost the European country? Nothing, except some piece of paper. ?

U.K. should now distance itself from this nasty facist government. We need to be back in the EU to create a trading block powerful enough to stand up to this nasty administration. Let’s hope Trump doesn’t wreck the US too much before he dies or is unelected.

I am from Europe. You won't find a single country in EU who will not deport immigrants that do not have legal documents. If they find them they will throw them out of EU and those persons will get 5 years ban for apply legally. So I do not understand one thing, if that is perfectly normal anywhere in the World why t f are making problem of it? \nAnd one more questions for those who are against that ... if someone enter your house through chimney, or some small window in the basement, will you let them stay in your house????? Do you know where they are gonna send them to? We have the same problem in the EU and most countries don't take them back. If you wanna deport millions it's impossible. If Ukraine is smart he makes a deal to take all of them if they serve their army. That's millions of soldiers. Don't think the South and Middle American countries are gonna play ball with Trump on this one.
