Vancouver seems so cheap to me coming from Bangkok. I’m relocating to Vancouver from Bangkok. But my situation is different. I live an extremely high living standard in Bangkok which costs a fortune. Vs that’s just the baseline in Vancouver. People don’t realize how good they have it in Canada. In Bangkok, even if you’re wealthy you have to import your food to avoid Chinese counterfeit and microplastics and spend like $2 grand a month on electricity for medical grade air filters to deal with the pollution issue. My rent in Bangkok is $15k / month. Vs I can the equivalent in Vancouver for $5-$6k/ month. So seems really cheap to me. Food is a lot cheaper than buying organic in Bangkok too.

Incompetence personified. They did not make any nor anticipate issues with their policies and typically they are not capable of governing. I want a fair election called asap. I also hope the Elections Canada will ensure a fair and democratic election takes place. I believe the Liberals and NDP are far too corrupt now.

The issue of economic hardship is inflation not immigration. Immigrates brought skill and resource and pay tax when living in Canada. Of course, we have an illegal immigration problem which is entirely different. This new piece is racist. All west need to fix inflation problem, which the government spend money they don't have.

I think some people blame 'Canada' for their own inability to deal with their own personal issues. It's an awesome country. If someone can't see how lucky they are to live here then by all means leave. I guarantee the new perspective will enlighten you.

Our politics suck. That means both Trudeau *and* mini-Trump Poilievre. The housing issue and overburdening of housing/healthcare/etc. by too many immigrants in such as short period of time is something I'm not hearing being seriously addressed by both Libs and Cons. Politicians can talk about programs to build more homes (too little, too late) and such but they aren't addressing some key sources of the problems. One could have a decent life in Canada in upper-lower class to lower-middle class but now the starting point is upper-middle class. Quite sad.

Bureaucracy is so slow in Canada ,something to be done takes forever. Housing problem can t not be solve in canada just the property Tax and maintenance fee are already around $$$ 1000 . homelesness,drug addicts ,people with mental issues , crime rates are all rising these are the issues without the immigrants already .

It's too expensive to live in Canada as an entrepreneur with unstable income and it's actually better to work remotely in a cheaper country, even if it's less stable. \n\nAs a few other comments have noted, many issues North America has developed are global issues. Many people don't realize many of the issues are from Central Banks lowering interest rates to zero or negative all to back stop aging demographics. This has been the trend for 30+ years if you check charts of interest rates and government bonds.

What I can watch here is a clickbait video. Toronto is safer today than it was 30-40 years ago. Groceries were never cheap in Canada. The biggest issue here is home prices, however a lot of cities around the world are experiencing the same issue. Take a look at apartment prices in Amsterdam, Munich, London e.t.c and how expensive they got in recent years.

Okay. To begin with, being white does not automatically make one Canadian. Immigration is the foundation of Canada; it is all about which generation of immigrant you are. The one mistake Canada made was to accept an excessive number of immigrants and students during a short period of time. This allowed students to work full-time employment, defeating the purpose of student visas. Why is no one discussing asylum seekers or refugees, which has made matters worse? All amenities, housing, etc., are provided to refugees using taxpayer funds. The money paid by taxpayers is meant to be used by those who made the tax payments. \n\nAll legal immigrants pay substantial fees and continue to pay taxes while they are employed, none of which has an impact on the economy. \n\nEmployers always give preference to Canadians with the necessary abilities over immigrants, even if the latter have higher skill levels. Despite having excellent credentials and expertise, I was not selected for any interview because I am not Canadian. Thus, give up lying and acting like the victim. Concentrate on the real issue. You are the preferred candidate for any employer if you are Canadian and meet the requirements.

Too much tax. Too many people when there is no support. Wages down. Refugees with mental health issues and no respect for women. Canada is a dumpster fire now.

All the issues I saw on this video is very very much true. This is what the real Germany is. Most of the skilled workers here are considering leaving and many left to USA UK and Canada. It is real.

Im my experience as a German the “unskilled” foreigners usually learn German pretty fast while the “skilled” somehow expect that everything needs to be in English. I get that learning languages can be hard, I speak 3 and am currently learning Portuguese. But it’s just a necessity if you really want to live in a place for a longer time. I haven’t yet visited a country where once you leave the urban areas you get along well with English. I’m often shocked how little German a lot of people speak that have been working here for years. If I go to Brazil for example I don’t expect everything to be in English, I try to make use of my little Portuguese and am grateful for people that do speak english. I think a lot of the issues stem from comparing Germany to UK, US, Canada that are native English countries. Or small countries like the Netherlands that have to use English as a primary language in many businesses because there are just not enough dutch speakers.

We moved from Brampton 7 years ago we felt it was getting dangerous and over way over populated. Indians creating quick access to permanent resident schemes in Canada is an issue.\n\nStill, so much of the population earns under $50k where they cost the govt more than they contribute. Most(80% or more) of people in Canada are immigrants. Europeans, Asians, Africans, etc, so it’s laughable when some people say immigration is the problem of Canada. \nThe real issue was COVID. I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. So agree with you Alina! We came to Canada from Ukraine in 2009, we were around the same age you are now. We came to Saskatchewan, settled happily in Saskatoon and we really liked this city despite harsh winters. Unfortunately, bcos of rising living costs, homelessness, and addictions issues happening in a city right now, had to move to a smaller city in SK in 2021. Realizing, we made the right choice while listening to friends who have to pick up extra shifts and find one more job to afford things they used to afford in the past with no problems. It's all about surviving now, not about living. If I had a choice, I would have stayed in Saskatoon, and wouldn't have moved to a smaller place just to be able to go on vacation. Too bad, you have to choose one or the other now. We are contemplating about our next step as well. It might be one of Eastern European countries, we'll see what the future holds for us. I don't think most people understand just how long and environmentally challenging the Canada-US boarder really is. In this video we're talking about only a very small section of the border along New York State and New England, but going west the boarder goes on for literally thousands of miles.\n\nBecause of the great distances and vast amount of wild land up north vs the population size on both sides of the border, it makes it almost impossible to actively patrol the entire length of the Canada-US border.\n\nThis is not just a problem on the US side of the border. Irregular crossings are also happening into Canada.\n\nThe best thing the two countries can do is to actively work together on this issue.

What is so crazy if you have VPN and a couple of minor technologies you can watch social media from around the world, using easy technology you can hear and see what people are saying, thinking and doing all over the world. This is a Canada specific video but this same video, almost exactly that same issues are playing out all over the world! Pick a country and people want to leave.. to get to the greener grass on the other side.. that other place, other country or culture where things are better, more like they used to be, the entire planet is in a state of flux!! I fully agree with you. The International Students, most of them have no manners and are rude. I use public transport. Some don't pay fares, talk loudly in their language either on the phones or in a group. They push to get in or out of the buses. They have taken away jobs from our youth, who are citizens of Canada. They signed on the documents that they would go back to their country after studies, but NO, they want PR. That was their intention in the first place. They are inconsiderate of others. They have no respect for others. It's just them. How can we say they are the future generation of this country, who also cheat the system. There are also some Indians, Muslims who have recently, I would say 10-12 years moved to Canada, do the same as above, including loud music in their cars, noisy cars, litter and spit, also spit red liquid on the grounds, etc., it is annoying. They come here thinking they can do whatever they want to do it's their freedom in a free country. We also see that there are scammers from Call Centres in India who have scammed so many innocent Canadians, including some Seniors. I would wait till next year. The Trudeau Liberals will be removed from power and will be replaced by a Conservative government that will govern as a centralist government. Nearly all of the problems in Canada have been created by the Trudeau Liberals. Mass immigration, the federal government working against the provincial governments and interfering in provincial jurisdictions. Spending Canadian taxpayers on foreign aid when there are so many needs in Canada. For example $100 million to Haiti,$100 million to Hamas. If anything we should send these areas seeds, shovels, buckets and some\n lumber & chicken wire. Once they use the lumber and chicken wire to build chicken coops we will send them some breeding stock. They will be busy growing their own food, and will not have time for rioting in Haiti or digging tunnels and firing off rockets into Israel by Hamas. They can use their time productively growing food and taking care of animals for food. If you send them money and food, the heads of groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and PLO just siphon off the money, they are all millionaires. And yet it is so much better than the USA. I visit Canada often from the US and was able to transfer my teaching credential to British Columbia. I can see from many Canadian's perspective why they want to leave. Perspective is everything and I feel connected and at home in Canada. I do know about the issues there as I keep up with all the news in most of the provinces but I still love it there. The fact that 45% of Americans were ok with an election being overturned has made me sick. In addition, our social fabric sucks. I started planning my move to Canada about 3 years ago and I should be there soon.

My parents left their home country because of economic uncertainty and growing crime issues. They came to Canada and succeeded, and allowed me to succeed. I'm unsure, now, if I can have the same for my kids. The economic uncertainty and growing crime are real concerns. Young people don't have the same opportunities and face serious financial headwinds. So I'm in the same boat, researching what places in the world can give my kids the best leg up in the world.

If I didn't have family and other obligations in Ontario I would have left a long time ago and never returned. My biggest issue is that the culture as eroded so much that there is no sense of community anymore. Everyone seems to be competing with each other at all times. Trying to make friends in North America as a whole is brutal. Every time I go abroad it is very refreshing to take part in cultures where people actually look out for one another. When I come back to Canada I always feel starved of what is important in life.

It's honestly getting tough to live anywhere. Global inflation is everywhere!! I live in The United States, and it's no better here, it's worse. There are many times I have thought of moving to Canada, because I'm so tired of the safety issues in this country. So tired of republicans stripping the rights away of the common people except for guns. They believe in everyone to carry any kind of weapon possible and it's killing our kids. I am tired of it. I was born in Montreal in the mid 50s and growing up it truly was a free country with plenty of opportunity. Graduating from Sir George Williams University I was able to purchase a brand new Mustang and live in my own new construction 2 bedroom luxury apt. Food and going to clubs was never an issue and as I had worked during the summers, I had no student debt. Most Canadians back then were from European backgrounds and safety was never an issue. In the year 2000 I left for the United States for good. I worked , lived and retired in a small university town and have a conceal carry permit to protect myself even here. I remember when you didn't even need a passport to go back and forth to Canada . The great replacement has hit Europe the hardest but Canada is a close second. If I were to leave here it would probably be for Thailand or the Philippines where there is a reasonable cost of living and safer conditions. I feel for you as I too can never go home, not the home I came from.

I love Canada. But I have told my kids to see a living elsewhere. It’s not a change of political party will fix the place…there are some structural issues from all levels of government to large businesses and schools…etc that are really f’d up in Canada. Canadians don’t know if they should be more American or European…they are kind of stuck. The government has grown to be a major employer and the most significant company is Shopify. Alberta is most prosperous province that wouldn’t even be in the top 20 American states.

I moved from Canada to the US 24 years ago. When I left I was worried about how expensive the US was, the crime rate, etc. It’s ironic that since then homes are more expensive, job opportunities have not kept pace with the US and the population has exploded. I am unabashedly pro immigration but the issue in Canada is a government that dramatically expanded immigration with no plan to address the housing stock until it was too late. That is ripping through the economy and tearing apart the country. I hope Canadians can find a good way out. ?

It is very hard to point out all the negatives about Canada (at this time) without getting into politics, but I am looking forward to your video.\n\nCanada has changed over the last 10 years that it is unrecognizable. While many countries have changed due to global factors, many changes in Canada can be traced back to the policy issues and politics (all levels of gov but especially federal gov). That includes: 1) mass immigration (at a time when we have a housing crisis and most of ppl living here cannot afford a place (to buy or rent)), 2) crime - this is directly related to changes introduced by the federal liberals, 3) drugs - federal liberals again, 4) housing crisis - all levels of gov - most of people in Canada cannot afford a place to buy or rent - what kind of country are we???, 5) economy (GDP/capita has been decreasing for 2 yrs now, investment per worker has been stagnant or decreasing, productivity) - our economy is real estate, education and public sector, 6) deficit/fiscal irresponsibility - all levels of gov but federal liberals are exceptionally good at this. We are a mess.

I'm retiring this month. Trudeau has literally destroyed the Canada that I loved and cherished and having lived in 5 provinces. Thinking of leaving also where quality of live, affordability, safety and access to health care is not an issue like Portugal for example. We are being taxed to death in Canada.

Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

Sorry to hear the current situation in Canada and I am sure Canadian people will get all the issues resolved.

My research, cause a lot of us have thought the same thing, is that it is not much better around the world. Much of the same issues that are destroying Canada are global and although some countries do it marginally better it is the same most other places. Don't get me wrong I wish you luck and the best but I just don't believe the grass is much greener elsewhere.
