I was questioning PM Trudeau for his foreign relationships and dealing with Khalistan separatists and straining Canada's relationship with India. But this speech changed that perception. I like how he addresses the very issue. Crystal clear and a very matured leader I would now change my position about him. This trade war will really hurt both sides. It may help govt as businesses will pay more on sales taxes. But it will ultimately hurt the consumers, especially middle and low income folks on both sides of the border a big way. There are so many problems to solve in USA and he focused on this.

Tariffs, customs - This is not a trade war, but honest business. And security and order in your own country are something else. He turned the cat over with its tail. He manipulates facts.

When WILL CNN TALK ABOOUT ALL THE TARIFFS CANADA HAS ON US!!!!! I am a very small business owner who seals things on Etsy. I sold only one thing to Canada for $13 and the tariffs was additional $65. The Canadian paid for it however it was my one and only sale there. So how is that fair for me? How is that fair to us?

I’ve been operating an import export business for 25 years throughout the entire time It has always been more expensive to clear goods from Canada into the USA than the other way around. Meaning there was already a trade barrier in effect to Canada’s detriment. This is just insult to injury. I wish the White House looked at the facts on the ground rather than fantasy. These tariffs are unnecessary.

Its time we send ALL Canadians attending United States universities - home. They are taking the place of Americans and have no business being here. Let Canadians develop Canadians and Americans Americans. This is especially prevalent with Canadians playing hockey at American universities. This needs to stop now.

Let this sink in, tariffs / taxes are debt on the tax payers back not the government's, government take taxes, reciprocal tariffs are just other taxes paid by other businesses in other countries to main government. The only way for the tax payer to prosper is by not to playing in the game by being more self sufficient, which obviously government do not like as it is untaxable. The unnatural population growth has put a strain on the whole system and in some cases put us in danger too. The crime rate has increased in large part to your lax immigration system. All the businesses increased the prices of everything due to this unnatural population growth. Supply and demand is not working the way it is supposed to anymore. In a normal household we make plans and prepare for changes. You just said ok, let's bring people here and forgot about the preparations. Infrastructure first man. If your going to bring half a million people over here, build the houses first bro. Nobody in Canada should be homeless which is another result of poor preparation. The housing prices and everything else went through the roof in large part due to the unnatural population growth. Anyway, think first before you act just like in a private home. People think this is against Canadians, Mexicans and Panamanians, but these tariffs are against chinese who are manufacturing in these countries and bypassing tariffs already in place by the US. The chinese are manufacturing in Canada and Mexico and placing (made in Canada/Mexico) and shipping those items to the US, while Canada and Mexico do nothing.

We have a president who cares abour the economic state of our country and the morale of its blue collar worker. Our country has been ripped off by people abroad and internally.
