To be Frank no one in the world think Canadian education is better. And no Canadian institutions or government think they are providing some kind of top quality Education. It is 21st century world doesn't need a college class room to get knowledge.\n\nAll you see is just a business. Canadian population is shrinking so government have to stabilize fund flow. That is why they are approving visa in large numbers. At first they want to attract more people, now they don't want to so once done with studies probably they will run of gic and other funds literally become useless \n\n\nSo it is better to stayaway from western colleges. Invest that fund in their own countries. No country can provide anything better than where you are from weather it is india, Pakistan, sreelankan, Bangladesh, Nigeria where ever. Last year canada accept 8hundred thousand students. Which means your country lost 32billion$ as just tuition fees to a country that hate you\n\n\nStay safe immigrants

Can we tell something the people who came from India they paid a huge amount of money for studies , unfortunately so many students didn't got the pr , but here millions of refuges they came to this country from different nationalities didn't pay any single penny, but still they have so many grants from the government even came with pr as well, so please don't blame only Indians there are a lot of other migrants as well.

Student visa does not guarantee a citizenship. How hard is that? Or maybe they are never here to study, and used this student visa as a bridge to enter Canada.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

International students get 3 years of work permit after studies. Skilled students get a job in their profession, gather enough points for PR, and get the Permanent Residency. Students with no/less skills don't qualify for PR and they have to leave. This has been the law since always and hundreds of students return back home upon expiry of their temporary status in Canada, but now students from Punjab, India with no professional skills, want to get PR by protesting.

If indians are studying and are having better life as compared to so called Canadian born citizens then they should learn from indians that how to do hard work ? not the hard drugs. When they didn’t have much labour force to work they welcomed immigrants and now when they have came legally with visas they are seeing us as problems maybe vote for the people who actually represents you guys in parliament ?ok and just one more thing don’t just do drugs do some job at tim hortons maybe then you will get to live in a basement because you will not vote for those who want to build more homes ?

All the Universities, especially in Ontario Colleges official representatives came to my home town , and told me that if I spend this much amount of money to study this many years , I can apply for a PR. That is why I came here. I chose to study in Algonquin college, Ottawa.I spend 4 times more than a Canadian student which I don't complain.\nAt least authority should keep there word, or give back the money. \nThey should not invite those students.\nThose who telling us to go back , should go back first Europe and practice what they preach.\nStudents came here in a student Visa, which can legally apply PR. Students are not illegals or refugees. I never got not Govt privileges. Australia is not banning Indians. Their just deporting not just Indians but any foreigner who abuse their privilege. For example, recently, an Indian student who was granted visa to study, was caught up in a human sex trafficing scandal. He was found guilty and deported.

This is a rat race , not everyone one is educated, not everyone has basic etiquettes and work dedication to explore the professional world, not everyone knows how to speak english properly or to express themselves clearly and they just come here as they hear or see that PEOPLE LIVING IN CANADA ARE EARLING HELL AMOUNT OF MONEY. Sounds stupid and ridiculous,,,,, imma tell you folks something. being an Indian International student living in Brampton right now, I shall how some courage, and should not feel ashamed telling you guys that WE ARE NOT WILLING TO ACCEPT OUR LIMITATIONS, we are NOT WILLING TO WORK on our basic skills, we are not willing to think outside the box. People in my community holds resentments if someone else criticizes them, they thinks that they got the big brains and everyone else is just faking some shits and spelling something on them which is hurting their DIGNITY, PRIDE, STATUS. How do they have time to protest? Shouldn't they be studying or working? I wish I had time to protest about all the things that are not right, but I have to work to pay my bills. I'm Canadian born I've lived here for 44 years and I have not had time to protest not one day of my life. I am skilled worker, 10+ sales years experience, workin‘ for a huge german company, I speak fluently german, I did my best to integrate myself and my family here, no chance, in December we are leaving, no chance to feel yourself welcomed in this country, no matter where you are coming from, what is your job, study level,in there eyes, you are inferior.

We need Indians to learn how to become plumbers, electricians and nurses in Canada. We do not need Indians driving Uber 60 hours a week to study business.

I am indian and I am totally agree with the white man that student visa doesn't mean a citizenship, they have finished their studies time to go back home...I am sure overwhelming majority of them never been to their any of the classes anyways..

The number of international students which is 1, 50, 000 and the next number which is 14, 11, 000is such a huge number of international students which will over come and take a total control of every business and work in Canada , thereafter the native Canadian people and their next generations with suffer a lot and the deportation of such huge number will also be difficult .The bettter solution is to stop this king of studies and international studentships to avoid gross complcations in future.

Students, while applying for students visa, declare that they would go back to their home country after completion of study. \n But after completion of study, they don't want to go back to their country..

Students are stealing Canadian's jobs. Our kids can't even find temporary jobs these days. Trudeau has really ruined this beautiful country. Students should not be allowed to work outside of Campus and should go back after completing their studies.

Student visa is to study not to stay permanently these people have no shame to protest what rights do they have to to do that they should be arrested, deport and banned from entering Canada even again.

Because most of them come with money they borrow knowing well they are not in for studies but for residences. But the government didnt know that and now they flooded the place and the students are now demanding for job and room to stay. Exactly, how can ppl come in for education and bring their entire family on board. It was all a red flag. And now they are getting big credit cards and when they leave, who will pay? Citizens. And still ppl are coming, why have they not closed the entering given 70 000 is to be deported. Why get more ppl in the country that is already choked?

International students who come from Africa to study in India, if they demand there, we want citizens of India, then the Indian government checks the right way and Deport them. No international student from Africa comes to India and protests

They lied to come here on the pretence that they were going to study most of them don’t study expect to pass work more than 20 hours and take jobs away from Canadian born students who cannot find any jobs. Then they make a mockery in the main streets they need to go. As a 56-year-old Punjabi woman born and raised here and absolutely disgusted in their behaviour and entitlement. We came the right way you guys want to cheat and then most of you can’t even speak English properly so I question did you actually pass the exams. Most of you don’t study don’t go to class expect to pass, even though can barely speak English. You don’t assimilate you make a mockery in downtown Vancouver and white rock. Canadians are done with the entitlement they came here to study and now they don’t want to leave stop your sense of entitlement study and go home. This is appalling and embarrassing.

That’s excellent hopefully Canada will become Canadian again. As a Punjabi, I’m absolutely disgusted with these new international students. They came here on pretence most of them didn’t even pass the English test they cheated and scammed to get here. They’re not attending colleges and working full-time taking jobs away from Canadian born students, including my own son who applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing. They need to go back after studying what’s deplorable is their sense of entitlement now, I’m so embarrassed by them. It's time for these students to go back home if their studies are done. You are not a Canadian citizen. No one guarantees citizenship in any country.

We need stricter rules for the international students: No work permits, two years tuition fees in advance, $50,000 per year for living support instead of the current $20,000. No PR pathway and return to their country after they finish their studies

In January 2014, there were 540,000 people in Australia on an education visa. But by December 2019, this number had skyrocketed to be 955,000. The VAST percentage of people enrolled in the later categories, which accrues to being about 75% of theses facets are from India and the Subcontinent. \n \nIn order to demonstrate just how much Australia has OVERDOSED on ISs at tertiary levels is to compare the 750,000 studying here in comparison to the US, which has a tad UNDER 1.3 million foreigners in comparable institutions. So, considering the US has a population (which doesn’t include the 15 million illegals) THIRTEEN TIMES that of Australia means that it should have at LEAST nine million foreigners studying in its dominions to be on-par with Australia.

Just hearing about this unfortunate situation for Indians in some countries. I am German, based in Berlin. I love our turban wearing Sikh cycle couriers bringing food to the hungry. Recently saw a pedaling Indian girl, even. No probs whatsoever with these Indians here.They work, they study alonside, many are established in well paying IT jobs. Unlike some immigrant groups, Indians never create problems, do not depend on welfare, have decent manners and are smart in whatever occupation they choose. You are welcome to send us more of them!
