So deporting people back to their country of origin, is like making Mexico pay for the wall .... not going to happen, because it will cost too much and the countries can refuse \n\nThe US people might now support the wall ... but it is still pointless, and largely does not work

I am definitely ok on cracking down illegal immigration and there should be criminal charges for employers that employ these migrant workers with slave wages. However with that being said to deport almost 20 million people that make up more than 50% agricultural workers in the country is a logistical nightmare. Once these migrants go these jobs will need to be filled presumably by Americans that command higher wages. I mean if Trump said he wanted to bring cost of groceries down this might not turn into a good plan.

Coupled with the apparent tariffs that are in the pipeline it will be interesting to see what that might do to the prices of fresh fruit and vegetables. As the country would seemingly begin to lose the workforce that allows them to be artificially lower than might otherwise be the case as well as a shortage of those willing to undertake those jobs.

Is this going to be like the wall ? he said Mexico would pay for? Him & buddies still want cheap labor. They might throw out some people to convince suckers that they're getting something done. But it will still be the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer.

All polls should designate legal (skill/education/$$$$…..) immigration and illegal immigration (crossing the border, overstaying visa…) which might be the reason of poll results mixed results.

TLDR, I love yall but the time is now to stop pretending that Trump is constrained by what is legal. The Supreme Court and him owning the legislative can make whatever he wants legal within a week. And he obviously isn’t going to be deporting people, only the lucky ones will be deported. Everyone else is going into militarized camps, one might call them concentration camps.

And another thing she don't realize is. They don't just come to your house and say okay. You guys get together and get your stuff. We're gonna put you in a bus and take you back to the border. No, they violently arrest you like your criminal. And throw you in jail for months sometimes years at a time waiting to be deported. And if you think you'll all be deported at once, you got another thing coming. The man might go and jump. The woman might go in July. The kids might go separately next year. If you don't believe me. I saw it with my own eyes in 2019. I was locked up in Colorado. I watched them raid construction sites hospitals. Numerous other businesses arresting hard work in Mexican people. Imagine all the nurses and workers at hospitals that are from other countries. I watched them arresting nurses. Arresting tab drivers Uber drivers. I watched them raid schools and arrest children. I watched them put these poor people in jails with real criminals. All the immigrants loved me. I was actually in a federal and ICE facility. So I literally saw all of the immigrants. I protected them from the racist white people. I'm from Tampa Florida, so I'm used to the jails and prisons being majority, black guys. But in Colorado, it's white supremace, gangs and Mexican gangs. What's even more sickening? Is people from Washington would come in and take some of the Indians out. And when they came back, I would ask them questions and they said that the government people would get information on their family back in India and see if they could pay 50k to stay in America. It was sickening. I found out that what they were doing was deporting. Poor people and the people that have money back in their country. They have their families send money and let them stay. I saw it with my own eyes.

You are a cruel old woman. If you said you have relatives that might be deported with Trump’s policy, that means you really don’t care. What a cruel and insensitive old woman you are. Shame on you.

Mexico will close their border on Jan. 20 2025. Canada should like wise. Trump might have a problem with those illegals that have guns and will be fight to stay in the US. Either way it makes great news.

Does she grasp the concept that those deported most likely won’t be able to come back? He’s talking about closing the border and sos policies for border agents and he has the support of both houses. Migrant labor in this country might be finished as we know it and the futures unclear how those jobs will be replaced.

This lady doesn't realize that she might be swept up in a deportation raid and forced to leave the country. Also, she could easily have her green card revoked and have to leave the country if Steven Miller's wish for denaturalization happens. You voted incorrectly, ma'am.

Trump could care less about families established 20 yrs ago . This lady might be sent back too. Their 2025 policy doesn't care if you are a citizen or not.

What people don't understand is that you can't just start a process in any country unless you have and meet the grounds for starting a process. Each process has its own regulations. Example: For asylum to take place, you have to prove you have a well founded fear of persecution from your home country due to your race, religion, or political opinion. Most of the illegals claiming asylum base on economic hardship, or violence from local gangs, will not win an asylum case. Wanting a better life for your family is not considered valid grounds. The same with legal status: You have to first become a resident which means you have to be petitioned by an immediate family member ( A Parent or sibling with a legal status in the US). Depending who petitioned you, it can be a very lengthy process, up to 26 yrs if your sibling submitted the application! Process is much faster for spouses and kids of US Citizens. Only after several years as a legal resident can you apply for Citizenship. Spouses married to US Citizens is 3 yrs, IF you know english. If you don't you might have to wait till you are 65, when you qualify for the test to be in your native language, but only if you have been a resident more than 20 yrs and so forth. As you can see doing it legally, is a lengthy process, but all these caravans think they can just march in and let the countries accept them without going thru the process and it has caused major problems all the way around. That's why the laws must be enforced to eliminate these invasions!

I tried of black folks talking about Jan 6 as if it had any thing to do with black folks. I might seen one black man and a few biracial. Immigrants, both documented and undocumented, commit crimes at a lower rate than natural-born US citizens. That is a statistically proven fact, and it makes sense considering that if we speed, we could get a ticket. If they speed, they might get deported. That's a fine to pay versus a potential death sentence... most people who immigrate here are trying to escape the very things they get accused of doing. Look, I'm not saying that people coming in illegally is a good thing, that every one of them has good intentions, or that border security is acceptable as it is. I just wish we put this much attention on those at the top of the income chain committing white-collar crime instead of something like this and fix the immigration situation without policies that will flip our already jacked up economy upside down for the sake of votes.
