Every single country has the right to accept or deny anyone wanting to enter their country based on their own criteria. Travelling to a country is luxury and living & working there are privileges! I’ve had the privilege to work and live for 2 years in India and I’ve respected every single procedure I had to go trough, I had all my papers, I respected the country and culture, did my job as good as I could, stayed out of trouble and went back home when it was time to do that. Just like India has the right to set its immigration rules as strict as they want in order to protect their sovereignty so does any other country on the face of the planet earth! If you want to be accepted anywhere on planet earth (this is an advice for everyone and anyone from any country) you must EARN IT not demand it!

Unfortunately, have to agree with the fact that some Indians have exploited the visa process and made it a mess for the remaining well intentioned legal residents. Lack of proper manners, over staying, misusing the privilege, list goes on. Please understand: we need to follow rules. We are a law abiding country. Not everything is perfect, neither in India or anywhere. That does not give you the right to break rules blatantly. We don't want illegal immigrants, why would some other country want that. Poverty does not qualify for asylum. Also, Rules of asylum is to seek it at a neighboring country from your own and not travelling kilometers to different country for asylum.

As an Indian national residing outside India I'm saying that most of the time it's always the Indians turning out be the most worst or annoying tourists in a country due to the lack of civic sense, respect to public property and them being unaware or unwanting to follow rules of the countries... alongside their use of fake or unofficial documents used for obtaining the visa

My cousin said that some people don't follow the civic rules of the country, some scam , lack of hygiene, blatant staring , and few others create public nuisances . When people are migrating to other country, needed to adapt their culture . Playing loud music while travelling, harassing foreigners or pushing people while getting on the bus.

As an NRI I honestly don't see what the problem is with this and if anything more stringent measures should be put in place. Look at the state of Canada. Is anyone honestly surprised that anti-Indian sentiment exists? It isn't racist. It's common sense. Behave and assimilate or you're not welcome. The problem with the way things have become here is that now people that have immigrated legally to Canada and are citizens are now becoming targets of hate and violence. I agree that once the visa is expired people need to go and honor what they signed for. We are also punishing those people who have done nothing wrong. This is really scary to see in our country. Hold government accountable for what they have done and ourselves accountable for who we elect and how we treat other human beings. We are all humans no matter skin color or where we are born so be kind to each other. Yes they need to follow the rules we have but we also need not be hate filled and violent, that is not what a Canadian is.

There is an unwritten rule that visa applications from countries below $10,000 per capita GDP will be heavily scrutinized. It is unfortunate that countries first encourage Indians to apply for visas only to reject them and earn huge fees in the process. Its a total scam. Any immigrant who enters to a country must obey the rules and policies, respect others, environment, culture etc. in Canada from some cities other nations are moving out out due this people are trying to make here as their country in all aspects.
