Every student who comes to USA for M.S. graduate studenfrom India pay only 1semister fee to colleges but they apply for 2 year tuition in Indian banks \n\nWhat is happening is colleges collect 1 semester fee and after 1st semester.\n\n students work part time at restaurants, gas stations, Motels grocery stoes. Mostly at non chain stores. \n\nLegally they are suppose to work on campus but they work off campus and earn and then pay for college. And some send to India they their friends illegally.\n\nThey travel up to 50 miles around to work. \n\nThese students work for cash and work for $7 to $8 per hour or even less.\n\nStore proprietors / owners tell these students if anyone comes for raid they will tell that they are working on voluntary basis and taking salary. So like this millions of students work illegally.\n\nAfter student comes out of college during OPT and stem OPTA they continue to work and approach consulting companies to generate payroll / trainee for no r a son just to give them status. \n\nDuring OPT these employers collect money to pay taxes and generate payroll and keep them to put them to work and maintain their status.\n\nThis does not stop here.\nH1-B workers who come from India on lottery 80% do not have clent jobs but they use back door and show that they have jobs and continue to pay taxes to show on paper that they are still working with a hope that they get jobs in future. And do part time work at restaurants, grocery store etc..\n\nStudents also stay in apartments in groups of 5 to 6 in 2 bed room unit and share and save money actual apartment lease is on only 2 people remaining people stay illegal.\n\nLandlord cooperation is there. \n\nthis situation is causing so much trouble to American citizens. Most Americans do not get a job even if they get paid low wages due to these unauthorized workers.\n\nCreate a department to report every local illegal student workers or H1-Bs or OPTs to ICE and disqualify them and cancel their visas.

Just want to say here something. I am from third world country too and came here few years back. Give an India a office job and pay them $12 per hour they would be very happy and give them $35 an hour and ask them to work outside they won't do it, because it is shame for them.

Record profits during covid says it all. Recessions give a partial temporary reboot and depressions are devastating and take a long time to recoup from. I live in a rural small town, retired, own my house and debt free . Low property tax and affordable housing and rents but in the Maritimes. Cities are the worst to survive in. I feel for all that are struggling but Canada is a great country and better than most but one must be willing to relocate to areas that they can afford to live in and still have steady work.

Can you blame them. The previous administration offered a premium benefits package to any and everyone who wanted it. It was a literal freeforall. Now that a non globalist, non(I'm just going to say it)ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT administration is handling the border of the US, these people are stunned. They are pissed off that the free ride is over. Chances are, President Trump would love nothing more than to do business with the countries sending these people. He would love to make deals that would strengthen their economy, give people a reason to live there. Update 3/2/25 Canada and Mexico caved to Trump's demands and are giving him what he wants, the stop the flow of illegal aliens and drugs into the US on the Mexico/US/Canada borders. Canada and Mexico now joins Columbia, Venezuela, and Panama for countries bending the knee to Trump's demands.
