I went to New York in like 2017, flew to Canada on a ETIAS VISA, and traveled there for a while, then crossed the border by foot on the Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls), and took a Greyhound from Buffalo to New York. Of course we had to pay for our AirBnB and hotel ;(\nBut then it was all LEGALLY, so it makes sense that you don't pay have to pay anything when it's ILLEGAL.\nIt would be rather silly to be doing things ILLEGALLY and then having to pay for things, DUHH.\nTry to explain that to someone!

I would assume the increased legal consequences would skew the new illegal border crossings from migrants looking for work so they can raise their kids in a country with more economic oppurtunities to a higher percentage of criminals mixed in. Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed.
