I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. Other countries aren’t U.S. friend but Colombians love the U.S. and please don’t punish the people for the actions of a terrible president who ruined the economy here and is only got 1 year left in office maybe the U.S. intel system and military can “handle” the problem of a president who doesn’t have the support of the people. All my neighbors love Trump.

You know what’s gonna happen? US applies tariffs on literally the whole world and the whole world doesn’t feel a thing except American citizens feeling the pinch and then Donald Trump takes credit for reducing the country’s debt from making their citizens poorer.

I had supported the deportation of undocumented people with criminals records back to them own country, but Mr T is deporting undocumented people who are working in industries that many Americans will never work, and treating them as criminals, placing them in airplane chained and hand cuffed. Also, a interesting fact is, he is only targeting people from Central America, Brazil, but a lot of undocumented immigrants are from Europe, Asia…maybe because they are not “brown people” like he once said, let us see what will happen when the prices of some services and products start rising, how citizens will react.

I don't get why Colombia won't take their own citizens. They'd rather US go to the trouble and cost of incarceration. \nNot doing their citizens favors because they probably would not be in jail in their home country.

It’s a disgrace. Citizens who had gone to the U.S. to work are deported, return home heartbroken, and are met with no words of support—only to be told they have no place here. Such cruelty is beyond comprehension. The excuse that they were in handcuffs is absurd. Whether they were criminals or not, if there’s a chance they were treated unfairly in another country, shouldn’t their own government investigate first? A government that can’t even protect its own citizens can hardly be called a sovereign state. Now, these individuals face a future of detention if they return to the U.S. or a life abandoned by their nation, left to wander like outcasts. A president like this is nothing short of a devil.

Well, maybe the Venezuelan and Colombian citizens leaving their country should ask their leaders to help them with air fares since these leaders are worried about their citizens dignity ?

Every country must receive their citizens who are deported. If those countries want special treatment to their people they should send their own airplanes to pick them up.

Meanwhile, most people of Greenland, who are full Danish citizens and can travel freely to live/work anywhere within the EU Schengen Area, don’t want to become Americans by not allowing their country to become a U.S. territory. Perhaps a $100K offer by President Trump to each resident of Greenland will quickly change their mind as they only have a population of about 57,000 people which will cost the U.S. only $5.7 billion. Civilian airlines for criminals, safety risk. The US has a trafe deficit with most countries in the world, including Columbia. So countries need to be responsible and take their own citizens and look after them.

In my opinion… if those other countries won’t take back their own citizens… offer the illegals an opportunity to withdraw their patronage of their home country denying them to ever go back and grant them citizenship after serving 1 year in prison or serve in our military for 4 years for illegally crossing the border breaking American law.

No, you didn't understand the Colombian president's post. He was only against the use of military plane and lack of process, he never said he will not accept deported Colombian immigrants. There needs to be a coordination because they also need to make sure on their end that it's only their citizens that are being dumped in their country and that they're being treated humanely. Also, Colombia just hit U.S. with 50% tariff. Also dont forget there is arround 15.000 North American citizens living illegally in Colombia... So... WTF? U.S shoukd take it easy on his rear flank

This started Friday in Brazil ?? when the interior minister with police and media boarded a US plane refueling in a Brazilian city carrying returning Brazilian migrants. The police acted surprised when they discovered the migrants were all handcuffed and leg ironed. They were removed, fed, showered and returned home by Brazil.\nThis was big news throughout the Latin countries.\nThe Colombian President would not accept his civilians being treating as criminals. Colombia ?? sent a plane to pick up their citizens without the mechanical restraints.\nColombia has now imposed a 50% tariff on all American products and seeking other countries to partner with, in effect shutting out the US. These leaders really need to call an Emergency Meeting and figure out a way how they’re going to pay for the International airfare for these natural born citizens returning to their home country. Not doing so would put their own people at risk and create a humanitarian crisis.

Colombia did not reject its citizens, it rejected military aircraft landing without permission. Only an idiot would warn that he was going to invade Greenland and Panama and then expect countries to allow US military aircraft to land.

The illegal migrants to US are citizens of their mother countries. It is extremely foolish to the mother countries to deny the returnees.

Traffics will increase costs initially, but American companies will start bringing jobs home as it costs them more to operate in foreign countries. The question is why is Columbia not accepting their citizens back! They know they sent their gangs and criminals to the US and don’t want to deal with them again!

It is understandable why US import illegal immigrants back to their country. But all immigrants are not criminals and they trying escape poverty and other local issues. Any Latin country that refused to take back they citizen should be put on a no flight list and all travel visa to those countries should be denied and a 45%tariffs as well.

Their country has the same amount of natural resources. Their government and leaders need to serve their country, not themselves. Educate their citizens. Have a fair law for everyone and rely on themselves to thrive and improve.
