Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

I am physician who is an employee at a hospital (the hospital does not allow certain physician specialists to incorporate). With my salary I am paying 150k per year in taxes. My tip, make friends with people from all over the world! Germans aren't impressed with cultural aspects of life! They are obedient to rules! If kebab is available, they will eat it! If pasta is available they will eat it, too! They are an individual perspective, lot! But you will still need to speak German, to be 5% involved!

1. German companies expect people to speak C1 Deutsch out of college. Which is not only unreasonable but also impossible unless a student only studied German and not their subject matter.\n2. The companies are still milking COVID and the war in Ukraine as excuses to not hire enough people while the pool of recent graduates is increasing. \n3. People with specialised degrees are unemployed. \n\nGermany doesn't need immigration for skilled labour. It needs to change it's corporate mindset and be more welcoming and understanding of the non-Germans. Sure people need to learn your language but that doesn't mean that they'll land here, eat currywurst and immidiately start speaking the local dialect. You've to be patient and give them time, which they simply don't want to give. \n\nAnd don't get me started on the meagre salary. It's insulting.

Because life is hard in Canada...poor pay, no jobs, having 3-4 jobs but still cant meet one's basic needs, can't afford housing/can't pay rent, living at food banks in order to get basic food to eat, too many coming to live on welfare.... All of this is cause major mental health issues.

I was living in Calgary for 6 months, I’m from the UK, and I thought it was great? Groceries was a bit more expensive I suppose, but eating out was cheaper, rent was a lot cheaper, and your overall tax is much better than uk. \n\nJust one example is the Airbnb I stayed in was 1000 pounds a month, but when I stayed in Airbnb in uk (much worse too) it was 2000 pounds a month.

My heart goes out to my fellow Canadians, it also feels so heavy watching this because we see it on a daily basis & it eats you up so deeply.
