I am the child of immigrants. Back in the day, Canada could support immigrants because there were well paying jobs and lots of jobs and for a variety of skill levels. Today I just don't see Canada being able to provide those well paying secure jobs. And the mass immigration is so heavy that non of our infrastructure support it.

So many sly comments against Indians but when you went to the most dangerous part of Brampton, it was all ethnic white Canadians, who are drug addicts and homeless. So Indians aren't the problem here. Canada brought in too many immigrants and the local ethnic population could not compete with newcomer Indians who can often endure a lot of hardships and find innovative ways to earn money and live decently. Yes there may be 15 in a house in some places but at least they're not doing drugs or roaming homeless. Not immigrants' fault that the govt miscalculated and locals couldn't compete with the newcomers.

There is a lot of hate towards people of Indian origin in Canada, especially due to social media influence that portrays a stereotype and negative image, however, there are many Indian immigrants too that are leaving Canada for good, because apart from rising expenses, living costs etc, people are done with the hate towards the community as well

you are referring to 2021 stats...refer to 2024 stats...you will see mass immigration from war effected arab countries..lot has changed in the last 3 years

The intro to the video kind of portrayals your biased doesn't it? You introduced the elections and who one and the state of Canada now indicating your biased that all of our problems are takings to political reasons. People are easily swayed with words sometimes opinions should to given lightly with all factors and not just the ones the help your opinion seem correct. You should include historical events that started the housing crisis in Canada. Even your graph only showed a spike of immigration intake but only AFTER covid but you sway the conversation to think the intake was so different when even your graph shows it stayed the same till covid. Number of those facts would have been more convincing to strengthen your opinion. Numbers are nice but not when it's placed in again, places that help make your opinion correct. In that case, only one side of the story and most facts are hidden this way. I enjoy the pictures though, nice editing. Lots of videos makes it more engaging and not lose people's interest

The blow back is also affecting the trucking industry. The foreign students that fall out of education because of running out of money are taking jobs in the trucking industry and working as slave labour. The trucking company’s are loving it because they can keep rates low while putting many companies out of business. A lot of the immigrants are sharing licenses or have none at all

A lot of immigrants came to Canada from Ukrainian territories of Russian empire. That's why in Canada so manu 'Chuk's. Then ukrainian nazis came to Canada after WWII. Gimme a break, man!!! Never heard so much complaining in all my life. Canada needs immigrants because people born here are not having kids or don't want kids. I thought only liberals were the bleeding hearts. Seems like there are a lot of conservatives that also feel sorry for themselves.

It’s not really that different from Scarborough, it just hasn’t been amalgamated with Toronto yet.\n\nI’m not pro-immigration, I think we need to sort out this cost-of-living issue by any means necessary (including limiting immigration if need-be). But you could walk through my city and interview people who would tell you that its dangerous, drug-ridden, gone downhill etc. and we’re still fairly white. number 1 immigrants in Canada and Australia are Indians. top 2 immigrants in the US in UK are Indians. next immigrants after hindus with huge population are muslims. each family have lots of children. while the caucasians, japanese and south koreans keep on decreasing their population. i hope mennonites increase their population. whether you agree or not theyre the only race that have no crimes. theyre not homeless. theyre honest people. they work hard specially in the farms.

Lots of students that were coming for studies to Canada . They were using the student visa to stay in Canada . . Know there are people flying to Canada and asking for asylum ??what a joke . Canada need to make there immigration office more strict what is going own .

im a huge advocate of diversity but this is just too much ... As a Canadian, my wife (newly married) is an engineer and really would make more $ in the USA. That said there are a lot of benefits of living here in Ontario. I think if housing, job market was a bit better (and of course weather) - it's much better. People are great although like any country there should be a better process for immigrants because it's causing problems, even for the new people coming to the country who can't find/afford living and work

Brampton is Indian Punjabi majority city. India has many religions and cultures but majority in Brampton are from Punjab region of India mostly Sikh and Hindu. For last 2 years, lot of students came from India and most likely they will return to India after studies are done. This is total fault of Canadian government for allowing so many people of same ethnicity, I have no idea how their quota works. I'm an immigrant myself, came here in 1996 but honestly Canada is not what it used to be.

If you're born in a first world country and you choose not to make anything of yourself, it's not immigrants' fault. Immigrants both in US and Canada always work very hard, they tend to focus a lot on getting a good education so they can get good jobs. They are the ones paying the high taxes dont forget.

The common reasons why Brampton has so many Indians.\n1) Even in India there are 22 official languages, but unofficial 121 languages with over 700 different dialects. In Brampton, the majority are Punjabi and Gujarati. These names first come from the language they speak, later to the Indian State. Each language represents a culture. In India also everyone feels safe within their community because it is human nature to bully someone who doesn't look the same as them. So, they feel safe within the community. This new Woke culture calls it racism and hate, but I think it is a common human nature.\n2) Helping each other to settle in the same community. So, they prefer to land here first and somehow settle in. The government programs for newcomers are just a waste of taxpayers' money.\n3) Closer to the Airport and Public Transportation is not too bad.\n4) A lot of part-time work opportunities for the students and newcomers. (Not the same under Trudeau anymore)\n5) A lot of activities for parents of the immigrants because they can't learn English or Culture at this age.\n6) Indian Food and Grocery are easily available.\n\nIt was not that bad before, but the latest influx of unskilled immigrants and students with the absence of manners has taken it to an unrecoverable level.

Canada only wants the best immigrants, no poorly educated or old people please. Oh but they will take people loaded with lots of money and who want to open a business.

You mentioned something that I (dual citizen, born in Canada, but lived in Europe for most of my life) have noticed, too. You see a lot of white Canadians who are in bad shape whereas most of the immigrants seem to be doing quite well. I don't know what exactly to make of this, but it struck me, too. In Europe or the USA I've never had that impression.

I wonder what the aboriginals thought when their cities were being overrun by Europeans. Most of those you call Canadians are essentially Europeans including yourself. Immigrants are not the problem of Canada. The country needs to expand and develop. You can't have the size of America with the economy of California. Life in Canada should be a lot less cheaper with a lot less taxes and a lot more construction.

I came in the 80s to canada as a landed immigrant which is equivalent to a PR now. Life was much easier for newcomers then to start. Jobs were readily available and with a good command of the English language and a broader mind to accept other cultures and people i felt the adaptation was good. As for the struggles i had lots of patience and didn't mind doing my own chores. Cook clean at home and work in a 9 to 5 office job. I even volunteered as a Sunday school teacher to young children. I also kept my hobby as an artist. It depends on ones courage and patience and ability to adapt in a foreign country. Canada was the best decision i took for me and my family especially my children who graduated here.yes now i am retired over 60 and yes i do spend time abroad including india while it snows here? after covid and the ongoing wars and the recession around the world life is not the same in any part of the world. You have to make the best decision for your particular situation you are in. I never regretted coming to Canada ??.

A lot of Indians are now getting exported to Atlantic Canada ?? against there will by the studies government. I was talking to an Indian immigrant who said threw no choice of her own for as sent here to Fredericton New Brunswick and she was liking life in Ontario . It’s getting crazy .

I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. Nickname for Brampton is Browntown.? Brampton has the most aggressive drivers. Lots of shooting there. Nick name for Agincourt in Toronto is call \nAsiancourt. Scarborough has changed a lot too. Mostly Muslims. Hardly any white people live in Scarborough anymore. If you are see one, they are usually immigrant Eastern Europeans.

The problem is Canadian Immigration they invite a lot of Indian national because no one would fill up labor or skilled requirements of Canada. in Other Countries they have a limit for a certain nationality so that there will be diversufication and if it reach the limit no visa.

I'm telling you, there will be a time where people will start breaking stores, steal food, etc. I don't recognize Canada anymore. Being an immigrant myself I have to say that what one might see happening in Brampton happens to another cities as the result of sexual revolution, abortion and the destruction of the family that came to be in Canada since the 70s. I’m a Canadian citizen and married to a Canadian born citizen and we have talked about this many times. In order to recover this country families need to have more autonomy on raising children but also parents have to be more involved. It’s true there’s a lot of Indians everywhere and guess what they tend to keep their values. Here in Canada as per my understanding people used to pray the Our Father in public schools and children used to get bibles, families used to go to church and now? \nThere needs to be a very big swift in policies and others but the biggest swift needs to come from families within.

You are right. Canada is not Canada. There are a lot of immigrants. With immigrations they bring their ideas of trying to push their idealism in this country. China brings their corruption and crimes. Governments need to change how they govern this country when it wants to welcome more immigrants in this country. As an indian in dont really dislike Brampton. Its just the leftist policies that ruined it. A lot of immigration isnt really legal either. The govt aint enforcing immigration law so its more or less allowed. Kinda like how usa has an open border policy with mexico. Legal immigration is next to impossible while illegal immigration is prioritized. There are far too many people getting visitor visas and never leaving thats a slap in the face of the poor working class. Or even legal immigrants that took the time money and had the qualifications to come here and did it legally.

I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

Great report Harrison, I think you should do a follow up story on how much money and incentives are being given by our federal government to these immigrants. I’m not against some immigration, however it’s wrong when you are openly letting Canadians down and, let’s face it, “buying” votes from immigrants by giving a lot of money to come here. There are so many facets to this type of story it’s almost a tin foil hat event. Drug the white Canadians, make them feel unwanted, offer the M.A.I.D program to the down and out, white drug addicted Canadians. It’s a deep rabbit hole.

Listen as a minority person who is proud of my heritage but grew up here with immigrant parents who were given refuge in Canada, I can understand immigration. But...its getting out of hand, most of them are from India, most of them have homes in India and often return there for long vacations, These are not refugees or a diverse spread of peoples coming here. I am not hateful in any way but sometimes you have to tell it like it is, A lot of these people are not adapting to the culture here, why? Because most of them are grown already and are used to their own customs, with an ever increasing population now living here they don't really feel the need to learn or adapt because there are less regular Canadians. When I was in school it was already pretty multi-cultural and diverse although yes in my area there are less asians and black people, we had a lot of European(Serbian/Romanian) in particular. Now I go to the store and it's like 80% brown/Indian people lol, even my neighbors, most have moved out and more indian families are moving in. My city is expanding into like a mini Toronto when we can't even handle it, people cant even find jobs, people need all this other stuff, Its just too many all at once, crime rates have gone up over the last few years, this doesn't help anyone, immigrants either.

I'm an immigrant (came to Canada 40 yrs ago) but I also feel there's far too many immigrants here...this has caused rents/house prices to needlessly skyrocket and now we're unable to buy our own house or condo though we could've afforded it if not for opening the immigration floodgates. \n\nSince we missed the boat on buying our own property, we're now stuck renting from rotten landlords who make too much noise at night and have no respect for tenants and keep demanding higher rents...I'm hoping to rent a house in the future...or maybe have to move to another city or province that's more affordable...GTA has gone down the hole. Funny thing is that the new immigrants are suffering a lot too for the same reasons...some are leaving.

You are doing a difficult topic. Everybody has their own individual experience in this large diverse country. Hope you manage to get well established here and can succeed. It's easy to get swayed by a lot negative narratives out there; but Canada has great potential if more intelligent, young, and energetic immigrants like you, work to improve their lives here! I'm Australian and a few months back had a debate with a Canadian on reddit who visited Australia and remarked how shocked he was at how ethnically segregated Australia is and was preaching about how in Canada everyone mixes and that Australia should learn from Canada how to integrate immigrants. Well as someone who did a working holiday in Canada he was spouting bs, you have cities like Surrey, Richmond, Burnaby, Brampton and Markham that have become mini India and Chinas in Canada. Australia might have neighbourhoods that are segregated but we sure as hell don't have cities with 300k+ people that cater to one ethnicity. I love Canadians don't get me wrong but a lot of you really need to stop with this holier than thou attitude thinking your poo don't stink.

This is pretty hard to describe as multiculturalism. I have no issue with Indian Canadians whatsoever. A lot of really good hard working poeple come here from there, and I respect their culture. My concern is how we maintain Canadian amid this type of immigration 15:21 seems like there is no real attempt to integrate new Canadians to our system and beliefs. We don't want to end up like Europe where foreign cultures have imposed themselves on the population. We shouldn't have to adapt or adjust to other cultures they came here to share and improve our way of life. Canada has a dignified history worthy of preservation despite our mistakes in the past. Our grandparents didn't lay their lives down for to capitulate in becoming a post national state.\nOur leaders are bringing shame to the sacrifice of previous generations.

Immigration is good when done correctly but with the majority of people who come here they do not want to be Canadian. They don't want to live with us. So many never talk English and they want to live with their people, they own way and pretend we don't exist and are living in their country in ours. It sucks working with people who can speak english but 95% of the time they only talk in their language. Then they mention your name as they arent speaking english. It\\'s a shitty feeling and a lot of them don't care.

I live in the French quarters in Winnipeg, and over the past few years it has become Little Africa, a huge influx of immigrants. It has changed the neighbourhood a lot.

At least Indians are hard working people and tend to commit less crime. The white Canadians in this video dont look like they contribute much to society. My dog sitting business, 70% of my clients have been South Asian. They travel a lot and have money to spend. They arnt doing fenanyl on the street, or carjacking people. That being said, yes our immigration needs to be cut in half.

The prime Minister did a lot of mistake about the immigration system first He must to have a quotas numbers of immigrants in each province , students , temporary workers and refugees with a small pourcentage .But He tooks everyone he didn t think about the housing problem and the job market after the pandemic .Now they are huge consequence the cities are crowded , rent are expensive , crime and proverty is rising , people are struggling with cost living .People quite Canada because is not the eldorado they think .The problematic with certain refugees like soudanese and somalians create some problemin a country with crime .I don t said is all of them but they are unfortunately .

A lot of people in this country don’t realize how much of a gift it is to be born in Canada, as a son of two immigrants who left their country, their family, their beliefs only for me to have a better life here in Canada. It’s mind boggling for me how people born here haven’t taken advantage of the infinite amount of opportunities. I have not finished high school but have worked on bettering myself since the day I dropped out, this life is not for the weak minded it’s for the risk takers. If the homeless who lived here their entire life couldn’t make it happen for them and are not happy with their current situation I would strongly advice them to seek help for their mental health, change their bad habits, quit their addictions and if that doesn’t suffice maybe move to a third world country just to experience true homelessness, true hopelessness..
