Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

Trump should really look hard into the last time the US went to war with CANADA it really didn't end well for US. We are really only nice when treated with respect as we treat others. In all cases whatever the choice may be, we will only know the outcome of the one we take, and none we take will ever ultimately resolve the uncertainty of life. However, perhaps it is less about getting a potential course of life right, and more about attempting to do so with an effort of self honesty and virtue. To live a life that can be looked back on with the knowledge that some of our decisions were wrong in their effects, but right in their intention of not selling ourselves short. Ultimately no matter what we do or say or believe, there will always be a great many who disagree, or judge, or become upset by our decisions. It is of essential importance that we ensure that among those people, we are not one of them.

I do feel sorry for those who were under temporary protection orders that should have just applied for citizenship as soon as possible and the majority would have got it . Many of these people were let down by the Biden administration , their community leaders and immigration advisors that should have helped and encouraged them to apply , but alas now it's too late . I know a bit about this kind of thing because my Mother and Father lied to me as a child and told me I was a citizen when I was not . I only found out when I joined the Army and they picked it up .
