I appreciate international students and their contributions to our universities very much, however I would like to point out that the fact that their tuition at Canadian universities is 5 times that of Canadian domestic students' tuition is because of large tax payer subsidies towards education in this country. That is to say at least 75% of all university tuition is subsidized in taxpayer dollars. If you have not been paying taxes in this country, then it makes sense to pay the difference. The same goes for Canadian students outside of Québec who must pay more in tuition than students from Québec because their level of government subsidy for post secondary education is even greater.

I believe in decriminalizing drugs, but giving them drugs is not a good thing. It's been a disaster in US cities like San Francisco. Tax payers shouldn't pay for people's drugs. Just because a bank has all white leadership doesn't mean they are racist. They worked their way up to those positions, you're not entitled to a leadership position because you're a racial minority.

we moved here in 2001 because canada once was a prosperous country under the harper government. cost of living was acceptable, income taxes weren't too high, crime was low. now, canada is the complete opposite. low-middle class families being sucked dry of their finances due to carbon tax, high cost of living, and government funding ideology with tax payer money. income taxes set to go up again in 2023, extremely high crime rate, bringing in copious amounts of immigrants without reinforcing infrastucture is going to be disastrous.

Sounds like a good plan and I propose that they allow all of those newcomers to move to every province except Ontario and Quebec because they have enough people. I would also propose that all newcomers by fluent in English so to not put the burden on taxe payers for paying for their education for decades before they are able to work in places where they are needed.

Excellent video! Agree! I am Canadian born but some of these points I can even relate to, especially how hard they make it to accumulate wealth. We are taxed to death - our income is taxed and then we are taxed again when we buy goods. It seems like they do everything they can to prevent wealth building. The retirement saving plan….is even a rip off when you consider you give your money to the government to get a reduced value years later after inflation…..almost feels like I’m a slave and the kings and queens have just put on suit and ties. I think higher officials in government are way over paid…securing ridiculous pensions and getting huge raises on tax payer money.

My sisters Canada is still a good country compare to Nigeria where there is no good infrastructural facility, power and security of lives and properties. Look at how organized the government is compare to Nigeria where there is no. accountability. Tell me what is working where we came from. There is generally more peace in those suburb areas such as where you where able to place yourself. Honestly, what did he think. It is not easy when you have no education to come and get accepted. Plus her chose Alberta when there was way better choices. Maybe if we (the western world) stopped creating so many inequalities worldwide... People wouldn't want to come here so badly. I’ve had uncomfortable interactions in retail stores here in Australia, because I’m a young mum (well not anymore but I have been, I had one baby at 19,21,25 and 27). Purely because they perceived me as a skank and drain on the tax payer to them. I’ve had someone ask if I had a concession card (low income/singles) and when I said “no” they’ve said “really?” Or asked me again as though I didn’t hear them. I’ve had people ask if my children all had the same dad. I would hate to think of how that would be exacerbated if I was a person of colour. I never judge anyone on first impressions but a lot of people do. It’s really sad.
