Different countries are minting money illegally from the immigrants. They give visas in the name of education and other traits but they are dismissed and compel them to walk out of those countries like Canada ! Give easy access for visa but at the end of the day they are out of those countries ! Poor people from poor countries being exploited !

I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Should I have to explain why! It's sad but the U.S.A isn't what it used to be. Mostly because of corporate greed and the influence it has on the gouvernment! Just look at how Trump is running things. A country isn't a bussiness, it's a people, without the people a country is nothing. Too bad Trump and his billionaire butt licking friends can't see that!

Canada ?? China ?? and Mexico ?? should put Tariff 100% on tesla Ford and Chevy and all American vehicles right away, bevause Elon is the Reason We American and Canadian people are not getting Affordable Vehicle from Chinese Automotive industry. The post-war world order is now over. It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. Sadly, it is more likely that we will allow the Americans to divide and conquer us... literally!

Canada needs to get all new trading partners, they need to look to Europe, Asia, and other countries. There are other markets out there, especially in the EU, where they are no longer getting energy from Russia. If Canada shows any weakness Trump will hit Canada even harder, the only why Canada stays strong and comes out ahead, is to be strong. Canada will suffer for a while, but with new trade partners, Canada will be much better off.

Screw 25%, make it 100%! Bring back American jobs or make Canada and Mexico join countries to make us one large country

I‘m sure there will be other countries that can replace Canada and Mexico imports. It’s an opportunity really. Canada and Mexico just need to stop the fentanyl and illegal immigrants, or are they saying they can’t manage these.

Putting tariffs on other countries triggers those countries to also impose tariffs on the US and likely trade with other countries and leave US alone with its goods. Not too good. Canada, Mexico, and China putting tariffs on US will slow US economy big time, like it or not.

Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

To the good people of Europe, the message is clearer than ever. Under this president the USA is no longer a reliable or rational player in international trade. Trade with reliable and rational countries and leaders. Canada is still your ally and friend.

If you do the math and see who purchases what from who, this is heavily in favour of the US. Yes, both countries will hurt but it will hurt Canada a lot more - this is just going from national statistics for trade dependencies.

Canada is like an over priced 3 star hotel ?‍♂️ from rent, groceries, car insurance, and cold 7-8 months out of the year . Together let’s do something about it instead of leaving. Canada isn’t a country like China where no changes can be made by its citizens. I’m an immigrant, first arrived here in Canada in 2014. Once I heard the US wants to annex us I asked myself what can I do to help prevent this. I think the quickest way is we need a stronger military. I looked up the Canadian military website and found out me as a permanent resident can also be qualified to apply. Although the compensation isn’t that great, if the US really start being unwise I will definitely apply.
