Immigration minister just shows concern but won’t do anything to prevent this. And this clown PM he wants to bring more refugees to help them. How about you help your own citizens who are struggling. Taking high taxes from hard working canadians and giving them to refugees who have contributed nothing to this economy.

This isn't new. International students pay more to attend our universities, and always have. That's why universities prefer international students over Canadian citizens. As far as claiming asylum...big deal. That's been happening ever since Europeans came here, especially the white waves after WW's 1&2. Now, descendants of those people, are saying 'no more immigration'.

And yet they protest in droves on Canadian soil with no shame at all, its sickening to see our nation bend down to these weak scam artists who take short cuts. Many hard working Canadians including my immigrant patents and myself worked hard in the early 80s to make ends meet and to integrate into this peacful landscape as if it was our own without any baggage of the Country we left. We also did not take shortcuts my parents came over with not even a degree and through their perseverance and hard work gained a threshold for us to survive and thrive.

This is such low quality journalism. There is no explanation or analysis of the deep causes of the situation in Canada. Has immigration increased for the past decades? If yes, to what extend? Who are the immigrants? How do they integrate into the Canadian society? What do politicians have to say?\nIs there an increase in votes for far right parties? If yes, to what extend?\n\nAlso, asking questions which suggest the answer is a sign of low quality journalism.

The foreign students lied on their applications when they agreed to return home after studying, and now are applying for asylum to extend their stay at our expense. \nThey knew full well that the student visa was not an asylum claim. It was for study only. Period. \nThe students might even be coached by professional immigration consultants, who are being well paid, to scam the Canadian system.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. There is one other reason that hatred towards member of your country is going up and it is simply because our hatred for our own government is so high right now and we are all only human. Some of us lash out at people that do not deserve it when we are really upset. That doesn’t make it ok. But I know that the fact that we Canadians hate our government more than ever right now, is due to the simple fact that our own government is not listening to our issues and what we want done with our country. Then that same government will labels us as right wing extremists simply for the fact that we no longer support our current government for example. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. I can control myself and will never snap at others due to how frustrated I am, so I would like to apologize to those of you that may have a bad experience with another frustrated Canadian. This is really not our normal behaviour. We’re are all stressed out and being called the bad guys by our own government just exacerbates the whole issue. Again, cheers to you all!!!

If the international students can afford to be an international student, then they are doing better than most Canadian students. Considering the fact that it cost international student three times as much for each course. They don't have the luxury to just live with their parents while going to school. International students are doing just fine. They should just go through the immigration system like everyone else. Don't cut in line.

Canada’s lenient immigration policies for a long time have made it a target for individuals from developing and corrupt countries seeking entry through various means such as refugee claims, student visas, marriages, and even fake trade skill diplomas. People do corruption in the third world and then claim refugee status in Canada and get accepted easily, so Canadian society is becoming full of those corrupt culprits from around the third world. This has led to concerns about why Canada has become a hub for such activities and whether it is compromising its reputation as a developed country. There is no real shortage of labor in Canada; rather, it is the greed of some employers, often first-generation immigrants from poorer countries, who exploit cheap foreign labor and are not willing to pay fair pay to Canadian labor. These employers, along with immigration consultants, homeowners, and small business owners, perpetuate the narrative of a labor shortage to justify continued immigration for their profits but that immigration is tearing the values of our society apart. I fear, soon Canadian passports on the international airports will be treated like a third world country passport. This situation raises questions about the true necessity of immigration in Canada, especially when other countries do not seem to have the same demand. The influx of older international students, particularly from India, taking jobs that could go to Canadian youth, further fuels the debate.

International students have no rights to protest other than study, which is why they come in the first place. Canada or US didn’t go to india and say please come. I think Canada should stop taking students through consultants in India. It is in India that people are selling false info and the students are blaming Canadian government. Even India has immigration rules and they are also strict in enforcing. Plus international students have to pay 10x more in Indian top colleges than local Indian. Rules are rules and should be followed or don’t come.

YGood day. For from context I'll reveal a little about me. I am around 27% Indian, 34% northern African people which is around 61% combined. My other ancestry includes Wales, Sweden, Norway Scottish and Irish, Hebrew/ jew as in from 12 tribes of Israel, However, the world calls me black Jamaican born. I live in small town with population under 41,000 people in northern Ontario Canada for past 21 years. I remember when I came here with company contracted to build and say very few black people mostly French African and some mixed black with some Chinese probably total under 20 people other than white or indigenous peoples. Over the years was steady increase of black, Chinese, Philippino, and my Indian doctor and his family to maybe total around 50 none white none indigenous peoples. Just before pandemic we had a large number of Indian students which was awesome to see considering my heritage as my grandmother on dad side was Indian. But a year before pandemic we noticed many started working in convenient stores and fast food places like most high school students do to save for college/university which was becoming a problem for Canadian students as some employers got incentives or cheaper labour to maximize profits. As pandemic rolled in so it seems more Indian students from other regions in Canada. So, Canada, Ontario, and small town I reside already had huge housing problems as some homes we even to be condemned and indigenous homeless from north increased crime rates and now we had students living beyond building code occupancy with shared living causing rentals to shoot up in prices as landlords became greedy and selfish. This small town of under 41,000 is by some estimates over 55,000 by increasing Indian students who for past 5 years fighting to get permanent residents even though they came as students which proves the goal was always invasion and coming as students was the ticket. If you and rest of new immigrants don't see the problem yet, I'll continue. 95% of taxis have Indian drivers, 98% food and other delivery Indian, 90%+ convenience and groceries, clothing and all stores 90%+ , vehicles on roads 70% Indian, my son barely got into college with 90%+ Indian population in college and his class is 2 white students, himself only mixed , and 2 Africans and 22 Indian students who cheats on a regular basis but professor afraid to confront as they are quick to call racism. But even bigger for me is these Indian students/new immigrants have no respect for the history of Canada and USA not knowing how indigenous peoples were raped tortured and murdered to take over this country and then enslaved African people to build this country while they raped tortured treat less than animals and still suffering with fighting for equal rights for over 400yrs while still being racially profiled and beaten and murdered by police officers because of this colonizers system. Now you come here and benefits from black and indigenous peoples struggles and claiming rights when you have not been fighting the battles with us or for us. Also, the criminal aspects of your community is not being taked about as well which includes extortion to businesses owned by Indians, car thefts, drug trafficking, human trafficking and other criminal activities. There's so much more than just saying you feel unloved by the people you're taking things from for their children and grandchildren and generations without showing any respect as that is defined as selfish. I'm an international student. I believe this dilemma could have been prevented by having an online interview with each temporary resident applicant, especially students and their spouses, before making an entry decision. I'm not criticizing what the immigration department has been doing, but proposing an effective way that only the right people are coming into the country. This could massively reduce the number of immigrants coming in. However, I believe it is unfair that students and their spouses are left hopeless after spending tons of money on Canadian education.

Of late, JT ( Liberal party) has become the whipping boy of Canada for all wrong reasons especially for the intake of a large number of international students and no one seems to be blaming the Conservative party that actually removed  the cap in 2014.  In 2014, in line with the International Education Strategy published by the  Government of Canada, the ruling dispensation decided to raise the number of international students from around 240,000 to over 450,000 by the year 2022. \n\nAccordingly in 2014, the then ruling dispensation (Conservative party) enhanced the number of international students visas to 327 thousand from the previous cap of 240 thousand.  In 2015, the figure went upto 352 thousand, representing almost a 47% increase  by CPC during their last 2 years in office .  As of 2023, there are over 1.5 million students holding study permits in Canada. \n\nIt is a known fact and no Canadian can sweep it under the carpet that the economic impact from the contribution by international students was felt across the entire country. From a mere $ 9 billion in 2014 it went to $12.8 billion in 2015 and it further enhanced to 15.5 billion in 2016. \n\nBy 2022, the Canadian government reported that the annual economic contribution of international students had increased to $22.3 billion, greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. \n\nNow it is for the Canadians  to decide  as to who should be blamed  for  if Canadians feel that their country has become like a third world country- the international students who had contributed more than $22.3 billion to the exchequer of the govt  in the last 10 years or both the mainstream political parties namely Liberal Party and Conservative  Party  that failed the Canadians by opening up the flood gate to international students with  their eyes set only on the economic contribution  by international students  without  realising the after effect of huge unchecked  immigration of students. A myopic approach by the successive governments has brought in all sorts of chaos,  unrest, unemployment, shortage of houses, increase in cost of living etc..etc....to the Canadians. I can only sympathise with Canadins who are facing undue hardship and mental agony because of the wrongdoings of successive governments while worrying about the future of my ward who is pursuing  three years study program there.

My parents came to Canada around 1990, and I was born here in Canada. I support immigration but not at the cost to both Canadians and immigrants. Letting in immigrants without a cap is reckless and lead to consequences we face today. Now I believe we need to reduce the number of immigrants, temporary foreign workers and international students until our infrastructure can support Canadians and newcomers.

Guys for everyone watching this, its only Punjab & Haryana protesting here because they are desperate for a Canadian PR or Canadian Asylum....most of India isn't even here. I'm a student myself and because of these folks its getting hard for genuine people to get a stay back. Close all the study abroad centers, IELTS centers and scam immigration from Punjab. They have ruined the name of Indians here.

I am an international student in Canada from the U.S. and intended on staying here after graduation, but after having learnt of the job shortages, the housing crisis, and inflation (due to the influx of immigrants), I've begun to consider returning to the States. It is unfair that your livelihoods are worsening because of foreigners taking advantage of the system (and this is also happening in the U.S.). I assimilate into Canadian culture and respect its laws, but I would hate to contribute to this population crisis.

There are 2 sets of protestors: canadians who are supporting the cause of Palestine’s which is not affecting them but rather having a concern of their lives more to matter and another set of immigrants who wants to get their own work permit extended which affects them personally. Immigrants never defaced a university ground called up the police force to get detained nor did they make a widespread havoc. They wanted to get their own personal wants. While few others for the cause of public outrages destroy university and public area causing nuisance for others. Think about it, compare the difference in protests happening now and few months back.

The Indians have been stealing jobs and opportunities from Canadians, dont be surprised when Canadians push back. We as a people were NEVER pro immigration! The government yes, the people no. \n\nPlease go back, you are not welcome here!

I too am an immigrant, but I feel like the country is being overtaken by India. There's nothing wrong with immigration if controlled properly, bud sadly this is not the case with the Canadian government, and it is getting out of control. I live in a beach town in Ontario that up until last year was a nice place to live. Now when you go to the beach it is 90% Indians, and they are buying up all the businesses to cater to their own kind and if you aren't Indian, you stand out like a sore thumb!. Sadly, having lived in Brampton since the late 60s, I have seen it happen and I feel that it is becoming another Brampton! I have a relative that lives in Brampton and is very experienced in the medical field, but cannot get a job because they don't speek Hindi. Come on people! If you can't speak english you shouldn't be allowed into the country!

If you, as a post secondary institution, public or private, cannot house, the student’s you recruit or admit , independently on your own volition, then you should not be able to recruit at all. \n\nIn other words, if you recruit them , then you house them on your campus's. Not in the community. \n\nFor decade’s and decade’s, parent’s of gen Z and millennial have stated that their children have been unable to move out of the house. That their kid’s cannot afford the rent that is required. \n\nIf you’re competing with international student money, then finding an affordable apartment is next to impossible. \n\nThere is also the issue of wage suppression that also is a hinderance. There are argument’s being contrived in the opposite but, the evidence is clear. A mushroomed homeless population, children unable to leave home, renoviction’s, eviction’s . Despair and all the things that that despair leads to. \n\nPeople’s own love of humanity has been used against them, as a weapon. That isn’t anti immigrant , it’s self preservation, it’s survival. \n\nUse the “ data “ for the good of Canadian’s , and not for the bad. You the government(s) have the data, use it wisely. A doubling of immigrants through normal pathways to 470,000/yr (whereas until 2021 it was normally @250,000/yr then almost doubled in 2022, 2033 to 470,000) and a 10% reduction in International Students to 437,000??? Are you still wondering why there is no housing, rents are so high, can't find a job????

Well lets be fair, why blaming immigrants on the current problem that Canada is facing right now?. no one taking a job from Canadian, it just that somes don’t like to work here in a minimum wages and sometimes they can’t stay longer in their work and quit very easily. So we can’t blame the companies to chose those people who are accepting the low job salary. However, Canada is a country who always loves welcoming immigrants that is why they choose to come here but\nEverything is out of control now so limiting is the best option but not only for immigrants, but try to limit also accepting a refugee as well. Just a piece of my opinion. ✌️

We don't need anymore immigrants here or students here. Us real Canadians want to keep our country pure. We ain't going to have it anymore. We have to worry about our homeless Canadians on the streets, not immigrants or students. Go to school in your own country.

I can't even express to you all how angry and bitter I am at this man Trudeau for ruining this country. The man completely fucked up our immigration system, our economy, and the country as a whole. I'm disappointed in the Canadian people for electing this disaster of a leader into office.

One of my closest friends in 2nd gen Indian Canadian in his 30’s, and even he’s had enough of these immigrants coming into Canada and behaving badly because he doesn’t want to be associated with them simply because they look like him.\nWe’re hearing stories of these new immigrants pooping in public, acting incredibly misogynistic towards women, overcrowding rental spaces, sex trafficking women and girls for room and board, and now flooding into the US illegally on tourist visas to Canada, causing tension with the US. \nOn top of this, the Indian government has been enacting state sponsored assassinations on political dissidents in Canada, the US, and Europe, as well as buddying up to Russia which is a hostile criminal government adversarial to NATO countries. \nI’ve personally seen Canadians go from the most welcoming people on earth trying to bring in as many people as possible, becoming increasingly anti-immigration, at least towards India in particular. \nThere doesn’t seem to be the same hostility towards other nations of other ethnicities, so it’s not a racial issue, it is specifically targeted towards Indians because of the bad behaviour of those who’ve recently immigrated.

It is unfair to the individuals who are relocating to Canada under the current circumstances. Recognizing the issues with our nation's trajectory does not require one to hold racist views. If Canadians genuinely cared about all people, they would seek to prevent the misleading promises made by the Liberal and NDP governments. Many immigrants were promised a prosperous country but have instead encountered challenges such as a housing crisis, rising cost of living, opioid addiction and homelessness issues, inflation, healthcare strains, high unemployment, high taxes, and a declining standard of living. \n \nNotably, Canada is technically in a recession, and without the influx of money brought in by immigrants, the country's economic struggles would be more apparent. The economy appears healthier on paper due to foreign investment and spending, but underlying issues persist. While immigration has significantly impacted Canada in multiple ways, the responsibility lies not with the immigrants who were overpromised, but with the Liberal and NDP governments that have underdelivered. I don't know if you all know. There are a lot of new Canadians working in IRCC. They are doing favours for their fellow immigrants to help speed up their process.

Immigrants refuse to adapt to our norms, no one hates and its not racism we as Canadians are sick of having our culture destroyed in the name of diversity. It's so pathetic we can't even say Merry Christmas anymore cause of cry baby Muslims, well go home then.

I noticed the omission of key areas such as Markham, Vaughan, Scarborough, and Mississauga in the data presented. Historically, Markham has been a leading area in terms of immigration statistics, which contradicts the narrative in this video. It seems that the focus on targeting the Indian community was intentional. While I acknowledge the significant growth of the Indian population in recent years due to immigration policy changes, and that, like any group, there may be a few bad actors, it is unfair and misleading to generalize an entire community based on the actions of a few. Being an Indian I try to indulge in all sorts of Canadian cultures and yes cultures because it is multicultural and will be forever….

If you go to Delhi on a visitor visa, why would the Indian government approve you of a post-graduation work permit or permanent residency? This is because India is not a country who have policies or programs for student visas or permanent residency for immigrants. Yes, indeed, they should not demand permanent residency, but it is not the students who make these immigration programs including student visas or temporary work permits or pr, it's the Canadian government who introduced all these policies, and if somebody is applying for student visa and spending $50000 for studies, they are applying because they see potential for permanent residency and that's how immigration websites do the marketing for attracting the international students. If they had known that work permits or pr is not possible through any programs, they would not have applied at the first point. It's the government's responsibility to make it clear on their policies or on immigration websites. Now they started making it strict by closing those programs but it's too late, what about the people who are already here invested their money. They did not enter Canada by just waking up one day and thought lets go Canada. The government welcomed them and they approved them. The argument of the reporter is totally wrong because they did not know that they would face hatred or racism when they applied for student visas. Now they saw a large population and started hating.

I agree with Justin as I am a Canadian citizen and have been looking for a job for months now and can't get anything even places that say they are hiring and I'm well qualified for the positions and I can't get nothing cause immigrants are getting everything cause they will work for less then minimum wage so companies are hiring them over us Canadian citizen that are qualified this is not right they need to go cause I am only I Canadian out of thousands looking for work and can't get any this is unfair to Canadian citizens
