Is sad how Germany is now ? ?

I have lived in Germany 9 years. I applied for my citizenship 4 years ago. I am still waiting. My advice to anyone looking for to move t o Europe, don't come to Germany. The culture and climate are cold. Germans are only happy after a few beers.

Its funny how the media is blaming the far right, while the left is responsible for the current status of Germany

I like Germany and German engineering but racism is real and a big problem in Europe. Like children being bullied and being left out by peers etc

*DON'T GO TO GERMANY !*

Germany is not for beginners. I started a small hobby garden project with a German. After 4-5 months of work at the end while harvesting he just flipped and demands just because he spents a lil more time in the garden, (which no one asked him to) he is entitled to the best looking vegetables, not only that he should get even few kilos more. Good lord i was never this disgusted in my whole life. What a narrow minded mentality. Harsh, rough, unfriendly. Its just killed the whole vibe and fun of the project. I didn’t care about the harvest, its the basic principles of human fxxxng being.

Many thanks to Canada, England, France, Netherlands, and Germany for accepting Tamil Eelam terrorists and Tamil Eelam extremists who escaped from Sri Lanka as refugees. The government of Sri Lanka has been informed for many years not to accept people who run away without respecting the law of Sri Lanka. \n\nPeople who do not respect the laws of the country they were born in will never respect the laws of other countries. This is why Sri Lanka does not accept refugees as a matter of policy. \n\nSri Lankans will end the war and stop dying every day due to war and live freely without any conflict between the Sinhalese and the Tamils. \n\nToday we run a safe country. Moreover, tourists from many countries of the world come to our small beautiful island.

R-A-C-I-5-M\nGood luck Germany for attracting foreign talents. IT Experts are now eyeing US. \nIn USA, the same job description one can earn 2 to 4 times salary better than that in Germany. \nUSA is a melting pot for every race, nationality, languages. \nin Germany, if you are not white, they treat you differently.\nGood luck!

This is a tough video to watch. It's even more difficult to read the comments. I moved here 4 years ago from California, and Germany is the fifth foreign country in which I have lived and worked. I am undecided about whether or not I would recommend coming here or not. I have just finished a PhD in a German university, and while I don't regret it, I would not repeat the experience. \n\nThe country is simply too behind and too naive (to a near childlike extent) in just about everything. Their vision far exceeds their competence, and they are an antithesis to efficiency and professional accountability. Culturally, I prefer Germany to any other country where I have lived. But professionally, I cannot see myself staying here. No matter how well-intentioned they are, they're not going to change for the better any time soon.

read many comments here , I think Germany needs a cultural revolution in tackling xenophobia. yet the recent rise of AFD and other right extremist does not make the situations improved.\nAfter living in Germany for 8 years and pursuing my bachelor degree I can say most of the comments here on the extreme side of an opinion , yes there's racism, xenophobia and an unwelcoming mindset yet there's also many opportunities provided for immigrants to grow and improve their lives if you immigrate to another country and only talk about the dark side of it I find it quite unfair.\nGermany has not been a country of immigration like US or Canada and expecting it to be exactly like these countries , jus leads to disappointment. criticising is fine but if everything is said is just dark and negative , I personally find it not simply realistic. Germany has just begun to become an immigration country and it has a long way to pave, I'm quite grateful for the opportunities like free education and growth that this country has granted me.

Countries like France, germany , poland , spain , italy , ireland , etc and many eastern European countries will take them since they have huge population shortages .

even india or china better for an outlander than germany. You may think i am exeggerating but i had sameeconomic comfort conditions in China if not better, and ı was more welcomed by locals. ındeed locals especially childdren are excited to see me since there are not many foreigners. I am well respected. On the other hands germans were saying Auslander raus. Ich bin raus, sei glucklich.

in Germany you'll be treated as a tool

You people should watch videos of foreign workers in South Korea, you’ll see a lot of similar comments. It's not unique to Germany.

I’ve recently begun a 1-year countdown to leave Germany, and I’m already feeling much happier than I have in the past 7 years here.

Good health system!!!!\nWhere? In Germany ?
2024-09-03 1
Myself working and living in Germany since last 3 years as a blue card holder IT professional. To this date, I have made 0 contacts in germany, making friends here is a far fetched dream. People just don't even look at a stranger person of colour. To them, we are auslanders who are not fit to integrate in their so called german culture. The housing crunch and slow lathargic medical system makes Germany even less attractive. The government needs to understand that not everyone from different parts of the world can learn German. The IT professionals don't get enough time to even look after their health during day to day office activities, on top of it, they are asked to learn german post office hours. Its too much for me.

I have C1 certificate and work in Management consulting in Munich. Me along with other non native speakers (there are just a handful, though), are blatantly excluded from group conversation, where they use full range of idioms, proverbs, bon mots, colloquialisms, cultural and regional references, even local dialects, and refuse to budge even a centimeter for non-native speakers. Integration in Germany is a hamster wheel.\nLots of well educated foreigners are refused an enagagement in their intellectual level because they cannot analyse Wittgenstein!

Most of my friends who live in Germany are unhappy about their immigration. They said racism of german people annoy them and It’s very hard to learn and speak Deutsch. Most importantly, after many years German people don’t accept them as a native like them.

TLDR: Germany sucks
2024-09-03 0
Foolish immigration policies by weak knee'd liberal governments have consequences and always at the expense of the host nation... what is the point to this mess? Unfolding right now in Germany is the rise of a far right government just like back in the 30s ...echoes of history.

~50% of the employees in germany make less than 2000€ a month after taxes. If you got any valuable skills, don’t come here.

Alot of kremlin trolls here that badmouth germany. Thisis a specific strategy to destabilize germany.. while theres some truth in the video, kremlin trolls should move to putin russia the land of opportunity, prosperity and freedom

If Germany wants to be reallly open to skillful workers, it needs to accept English as the second official language otherwise it would always lose the game to other countries that have already accepted that

For young male, Germany is not good place to work. They are doing female quarter policy in academy. As far as you are not LGBT, the policy can deter young male. Discrimination to female is the fault of older generation. Why young male should get disadvantage? People criticize such policy are defined as far right or sexist. I do not like that atmosphere.

Skilled workers are needed everywhere. They won't habe to go to Germany. Germany need cheap labor. Maybe offer visas and language courses to Latin American coutries. They have a similiar culture and are good people. But they would probably be unhappy in Germany.

A blue eyed blonde Turkish guy not managing to feel welcome in Germany is all you need to know about the current climate here. That’s basically a cheat code with the huge Turkish expat community here. Breaks my heart.

They need workers but unemployment rates are increasing. Germans are very slow and lazy. I am in Germany for past 5 months looking for job in IT. I am finding it difficult here.

I left Germany years ago after having graduated and worked there. I’m happy for my decision. Will never forget all the discriminations I experienced in Germany over the years, especially during covid times

Just remember, just because the majority of commenters here are not happy with Germany, it doesnt mean that all immigrants there are having a rough time ? there are plenty of happy ones too. \n\nPlenty of reports like this also showing unhappy people moving out of other countries like the Netherlands too. ie. Ive lived in Rotterdam and Amsterdam before, it's not my cup of tea. \n\nGrass is always greener on the other side I suppose ?

Inform German people that every language has levels, and that it takes certain time to reach a certain level. They (the Germans) just lack education and information, since they themselves are not good language learners. As for discrimination and xenophobia, all present in Germany, I am not sure what to recommend. My advice used to be travel more, but Germans do travel and are still racist. Perhaps more education in this specific area/field would help? What I have learned is that the process of getting rid of nacism (with a specific name/term for it) after the WWII, has not been thorough. I have learned that after visiting museums in Germany.

It's not so much a German issue, rather about communities and law dynamics. PA is rly struggling for everyone, but for foreigners services they are making clearly less efforts. Then when it comes about being different from a local, again like in every country, you would not know anything about the law, the school, the possibilities, the services and all the good aspects which Germany has and often people do not know. This is often filled up by talking to people, which luckily happens still also here, where the people are kind, although you have to be close to someone most of the time.

*She's leaving Canada...for 1930s Germany. She fits in much better there. Their immigration policy of much more to her liking*
2024-09-02 0
I've been experiencing so much discrimination here, both in in-person situations and systemic. Beyond what's said in the video, there is also an issue that it's so alienating. You can't really make friends with the locals, and then, after work, there is no cultural offer either. For example, I just can't go to the cinema in German, because everything is with German dubbing. So, you feel lonely and bored. The only thing that keeps me here is the good quality of life and good healthcare compared to some other EU countries where I lived. But now, that Germany closed its nuclear power plants and can't benefit from the cheap gas from Russia, I guess the economy will go gradually down, and so will the quality of life. And that will mean I will have no reason at all to stay.
2024-09-02 0
Th issue with Germany is the hard leftist politics destroying the economy. Not “feelings of having a bad experience “. Grow up

No one is going to stay in Germany & pay taxes for or fund aging population. NO ONE!

I’m an expat from Southeast Asia and have been living in Germany and the Netherlands for over 14 years. While I’ve occasionally encountered racism, overall, I’m happy living in Germany. I’ve been fortunate that all of my jobs so far have only required English, but speaking German is crucial for building friendships and having a social life. Like any other countries, Germany has pros and cons. That said, I also agree with the perspective that, to integrate, learning the language is essential. After all, if someone isn’t willing to speak the language, why would they choose to live in that country?
