It's about Trump and Vance destroying all of the relationships with our allies and aligning with the communist/dictatorial countries in the world. Is this what y'all voted for, MAGA?

The only one thing Trump is around for is to make everybody else his minions, that is what he works for to get his kicks from - all the Trump willie show is about that and that is his only card. He doesn't do politics or economics or any of that. He does his 'You Have To Be Minions' willie show, and he does fall out of his pants when people can't be tricked. - That is the one red line he can be identified for. Sure, there is danger as long as the citizens in the U.S. haven't got rid of this cancer cell. It is the modern Adolf Hitler. So make sure to get past him in the shortest time possible - with the smallest damage caused - by any chance. Observation and criticism towards this fascistoid psychopath is surely unavoidable, but it is also what he wants us to do: to spend all our time and attention on him. So let's focus most of our time and effort on building and strengthening what we know that needs to be there instead of this fascist. Improving Unity amongst us. And never bowing to any of the global bullies and fascists. People who can't build on their own turf, communicate their points in a civilised manner, but need to get physically violent instead, militarily, economically, institutionally, at the cost of other people's lives - are not on our agenda. // We will not bow to bully threats - not in our small worlds, and not globally either.

There are a few thousand american military bases around the world. Once you end alliances, they are gone. USAs is gonna have a bad time deploying their troops anywhere outside florida. We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. Again this is seen as a hostile economic competitor. \n\nIts not Canada or Americas fault. After 2007 and the lies about fanny and Freddie, leman bros, mortgage backed security's, and a cash shortage that was not real. How was it real if the offshore exchanges did nothing? 2007 was not financial in origin it was our global monetary system seizing up. To say Wall Street greed and MBSs did it would be like saying a single drop of cement turned the ocean to cement.\n\nBut something did. Something turned the market from liquid to concrete, it happened in France decades before......\nFinancially packaged items could no longer be priced or traded.

I don’t care what they say, I will eat in public during broad daylight everyday during Ramadan. If someone gets offended by it, they can either stay home or go to Saudi Arabia.

I tried launching a startup in cleantech in Canada, shortly after COVID. No private investors had an interest, and none of the banks lend to businesses, unless they have cash flow.\n\nLong story short, there is no economic mobility in Canada. You are either rich or poor, and nether can swap places. Despite how foolish property speculation is, compared to the potential of a cleantech startup (with a patent), rich people put it into real estate anyways. Literally everyone loses, because of the actions of economically illiterate rich people.

You said there's no reason that people would pick Canada over the US but given the current political and sociological climate in the United States that's not true anymore.\n\nPeople want access to healthcare, paid parental leave, a social fabric that isn't toxic, access to women's healthcare, lack of gun violence, consumer protections etc.\n\nJust like many Europeans won't leave Europe for the US, many Canadians won't either, especially now.

The difference between Canada and Spain is that they don’t have a sovereign currency. With debt dominated in the Euro they couldn’t as easily print their way out of the problem. I’d be willing to bet that the government inflates the dollar away before they allow a major housing crash or long term decline. Either way we’re cooked ?

If you are moving to the States and you are trying to find the best place to live, you are playing Russian Roulette with your future. We as Canadians are mostly unfamiliar with which areas are bad. We dont think about things being so different until you live there. I don't think l could send my kids to school there either.

Canadian doctors don’t want to communicate with their patients by email or phone because they want us go in person so they will get paid. You cannot call in and ask to repeat a medication either you have to go in and visit them in person so they can get paid. My last visit to my family doctor presented like 8 missed appointments with her and wanted\n me to pay.? I asked where did you generate those from? She claimed the system.?‍♀️ I ended up paying for one only which was a physical app. I knew about and she waved the and still make mi paid.
