I’m an American and would never vote for Trump. I hope the tariffs that Canada, Mexico and China crush our economy so his cult will see what a moron he is. This will hurt me as well but it has to be done.

If your insane president won't back down, electricity will be cut off, and potash and nickel will no longer be exported. Agreements with Homeland security will be canceled, NORAD may be cancelled, and cross border travel will be severely restricted soon. Canadian armed forces will be standing by to halt an American military operation, and our European Allies will join us for what we hope will only be another cold war.

Who convinced Trump of this? I like him but this trade war against Canada isn’t the way to go, really. I feel Canadians were mistakenly targeted. US needs allies not foes. As an American, i always want to support my country, but when they are attacking an ally and friend for absolutely no reason, i have no choice but to hope that Canada stands strong against Trumps bullying.

As an American for the whole of my 70 years, I applaud the actions of PM Trudeau. Please know that the majority of Americans value our friendships in this global community, and are ashamed of the actions taken by Donald Trump. I can only hope and pray that this insanity ends soon.

The USA are the most unreliable country in the world at the moment. That’s what we think here in Europe. And we fear that the worst is yet to come during trump’s administration. We do hope that the mid term elections will block his power. But they are far away

I’m in Seattle and have a vacation home in British Columbia so go there often while renting out other days to other people. Wonder how the tariffs gonna affect this. For example if certain things need to be remodeled in my pad over in BC I usually order from suppliers in USA near the border since I use them for my home in Seattle too. I’m guessing it might get taxed now. Not sure how it will play out. I do know that initially tariffs gonna effect lot of people but do believe in general it will get economy better. I recently saw that Mexico been adding tariffs for years for certain USA goods (for example appliances purchased in usa from Mexico will cost another 27% etc) and it’s time for USA do similar things. Just hoping my burrito cost doesn’t keep going up. Was around 8$ several years back and now it’s 14$ in Seattle ?

This is so heart breaking, I was actually hopeful that Trump would change things for the better but it feels like we’re in a downward spiral, pray for the US ??❤️

Thank you for speaking out, because our elected officials are not reigning him in and we have no hope since none of them have the ability to speak out against what he has done to the world in a short time. The are afraid of his bullying and I'm glad you stood the ground to take care of your people.

Hopefully this is a big wake-up call to Canada that it’s time to stop relying so much on America for trade and start making deals with other countries.
