Tyler, I can see you are sadden by these reactions and I feel for you. Honestly, I love the USA and I would actually live there in a heartbeat for all the positive reasons I know and love about the US. However, as Mom and a soon to be school age child, I would hesitate because of that. Canada has its own issues and don’t let everyone fool you. It’s not some social utopia. We have problems too just different. It’s like you said you need to pick a good, safe safe to live in. The same advise applies to Canada. Also, Reddit is full of your not so typical Canadians so take with a grain of salt ?

Unfortunately what we see in the news gives the idea that the US has problems with race, sexual orientation, sexism and there are religious zealots. It doesn't help that Fox News is your number 1 news station.

No, I wouldn’t. I just moved from Vancouver to London, uk. Lots of people asked why I didn’t move to New York. Main reason is health care. I’m a self employed hairstylist and no one is providing health care for me. Second is gun violence in general, mass shootings are a big issue, just because it hasn’t happened in your small city, doesn’t mean it won’t. Mass shootings are just the most extreme version of gun violence. I don’t want the people walking down the street next to me to possibly be carrying a gun on them. That is truly terrifying to me. Third is that politics are so extreme and so prevalent. Lastly the fact that women’s rights are being taken away. I absolutely cannot support a country with very little benefits and aid for those who cannot afford to have a child, that then makes them have a child. That’s the briefest way I can explain my feelings, I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. \n\nThe only benefit I see in moving to the us from Canada is for certain opportunities, and those come in big cities, so there’s absolutely no point in moving to then live in a small city. \n\nI appreciate that you’re being introspective as you go through the video. Unfortunately gun violence is a massive one for many Canadians, even when they travel to the us. Now that I’m in London, I hear a lot of the same sentiments being mirrored by the Brits. No one wants to lose their health and safety just to move to the us. Americans have become so desensitized from their own violence in their society they don't see the whole picture anymore tell it happens to them and their loved ones. They have a problem of ignoring a issue tell it hits them in the face tell it hurts them.

You are hearing about the school shooting as a concern a lot because it is a very real concern to everyone outside of the US. Americans like their guns far more than they appear to care about children. Your gun problem is a HUGE problem that many of you don't see as an issue. Hi Tyler I have been splitting my time between Florida and Vancouver for the last 25 yrs , my wife is American and my daughter went to high school and college in the US. The years prior to 2016 the Floridians were very warm and welcoming every year I returned for the 6 mo winter season. After the 2016 election things changed, I became one of those people (an unwanted foreigner). I still have my place in Florida but it’s time to sell and find a place that is more welcoming. I read an article a couple of yrs ago that Canadians pay approximately $500 m a year in property taxes to the State of Florida and contribute millions more to the Florida economy… as I see it now the division in the US is getting to be to much. We have our problems in Canada but we let people live their life their way and I live my life the way I choose and accept people just the way they are.

I've been to 15 countries and out of all the hotels and stuff I've stayed in I've left things laying around like some money, wedding ring and never had a problem even in very poor countries.\n\n Except in one country where I left my wedding ring laying on the nightstand by the bed like I always do all over the world, and guess which country I had my wedding ring stolen out of all of them? It was in Canada where a maid came in and stole my fucking wedding ring. Although, I love here in BC Canada, but good to speak out truth! thank you for your true and reliable facts sharing. I agree every country has issues and here everything is slowly improving too, but it is frustrating to watch such problems that are solved in most least developed countries a decade ago. You can see someone sobbing from pain and yet to wait a week for doctor (feels to me meeting butchers :)). You can see many surgent and talented Intern/Indian doctor, experts and engineers doing labor work, are not they even capable for general basic services?! Solutions and resources are a lot but no body pick them up! as if it is a concession force not to. Say more about diversity but less inclusion of Asians.

I've been a caregiver for over 40 years and I just love it, but recently, I've been seeing a few people, including the HR Department and the people who hired me, try to surprise me bye popping up and the client was very upset because they didn't want to listen to her and a employee that was working with me,I wasn't aware of the problem situation that was going on, so basically I was set up with them saying that I wasn't taking care of the client honestly the client told them I've been helping them the most the employee said that I wasn't changing the client,,and I noticed that the trash Bin was being opened and I bought it attention to the client and she said be careful with the company and the co-worker that is working with us is lying on. Me and I brought it up to my supervisor and then she said that someone had said that I wasn't changing her underwear and she the client said that she would let the boss know but she came back from told me that I wasn't able to continue to work for them and I asked them why they said someone was coming from Africa to join their company and I Said that I'm not going to signing anything that is a lie ...

It's wonderful to see people so excited and exhilarate to want to be Americans but come the legal way learn the process and assimilate into being an American. Leave your problems behind you do not bring them. America has a lot to offer but You're going to have to pull yourself up. That is the American way

I see all these comments about we need to fix America or we need to fix our country first or Americans can't find housing Y'all do realize that the only problem is that the rich are just abusing us. There is no way to become that wealthy without screwing someone else over. If you move to rural areas of Canada its not that bad. Most of the Canadians commenting here I assume are the 80% who live in metro areas. Healthcare though is a problem, my inlaws in rural Quebec struggle to see a doctor often

As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

I see this done a lot but there's a big difference between correlation and causation. Your Rbc example shows the top people all white, including women I may add. Would you call the NBA racist because blacks overwhelmingly are represented or did they get there because they were the best? No doubt there is racism in most countries in the west including an amazing country like Canada or even Australia, but they aren't as horrible as in Asia or the middle east ?\nIf it's equally worse, those African immigrants doing well for themselves here won't be coming in large numbers. You should head places like china, japan, malaysia, indonesia and live there for a little while and see what racism is like.

If you understood the s*** that was going down in Venezuela, you would be fighting for these people to have Asylum here. Do you know how much of Texas is unoccupied? Like SO much of it. It's not a very densely populated state. It can take years for Asylum Seekers to go through the process legally. Don't they deserve some level of safety while the process is sorted out? And instead we keep instituting policies that make things even more difficult and create even more tension. Nobody is fully in the right here necessarily, but people really need to start approaching this with much more empathy and Humanity. If you guys really have such a problem with all the migrants being in Texas, there's always Wyoming. Nobody lives in Wyoming. There's plenty of space in Texas, of course, since most people live around the Metropolitan areas.... But Texas isn't always known for its warm fuzzies. Wyoming is just Cheyenne and a bunch of wind. This is sickening to see, i feel bad for those that came here the correct way and got their citizenship. Ive read alot of comments that say well if the usa didnt have such stringent rules to become a citizen, then this wouldnt happen. Thats like applying for a job without giving them any information about yourself, and expecting to get that job with no experience. Is it so bad these people should learn about our history and culture, need to be bi lingual and go through the entire vetting process? The answer is they should because if we went to anyother country, we would be expected to learn about their culture. It's almost like they don't see how the effects of employers offering wages too low to support paying rent being mixed with large investment firms buying up all the Housing stock and enacting policies of constantly evicting current tenants to increase rental prices isn't a major component in the problem.\nThe reality is, the housing crises could be easily fixed by raising minimum wage to a living wage and restricting investment firms from using residential housing as investment stocks especially as one of their tactics seems to be to intentionally not rent out large portions of their housing stock to create a shortage in supply, this driving up demand along with rental prices.\nYou can't honestly complain about the homeless crisis while ignoring the fact that corporations are intentionally keeping rentals empty to drive up rental prices. I'm pretty sure that fits within one of the definitions of insanity.

On what planet does mass migration benefit the country that is invaded by people who know that they have entered the country illegally. My country, Britain, is being invaded every day and I cannot see one sjngke benefit, only problems for the indigenous population; pressure on housing and services and more crime to name just three detrimental issues. McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

The hipocresy of American politics is just too much, on one hand they will give you the idea of resolving the border issue, on the other some work to get money in their pockets by cartels and other criminal organizations worldwide like isis, and on the other killing the economy by not making the illegal immigrants work like Florida. I mean is a mess, not one sided like many people see on here, the root of the problem is so much deeper and it involves a lot of things sadly :/\nJust hoping everyone will be okay for the times to come and know who the real enemy is (hint: is not these people who are desperate like others in the country). The problem is the USA gets to tell other countries how to be. Toronto has a carding process, Alberta, Saskatchewan, manitoba are all like Texas, can't say what is going on in Quebec because they see everyone as a enemy to their culture. You also have large Asian groups hating on Black and Brown people here. BC is better for blacks in the north but really sucks for natives. But it keeps getting worse when you see the influence those moving here from the US bring.

Immigrants have more “rights” and “programs” to help them succeed and contribute to the American society than those born here. Problem is a large percentage aren’t coming here to seek a better life. They work and send everything home for their families to live better in that country. Or commit violent crimes and burden the state even worse. If a politician supports a vetting process then they are deemed “racist”. Fact is America is moving backwards. Won’t be long before you see crowds like this trying to get out.

I hate to see Mexican Americans working in law enforcement to prevent illegal immigrants from entering the country like legit if it was up to me I don’t have a problem with it but I can see why our country has issues with that due to the economy misbalance that can occur. At the same time those cops are just doing there jobs just like me and you. But who knows maybe they let one or two slip obviously not everyone.

Uhhh can anyone say ‘invasion’? Where the living heck is the military?? Annnd give it a few months and we’ll start seeing half of them up here in Canada accessing all of our social programs ( ie: say good bye to healthcare for the rest of us who have paid into it our whole lives and may need it someday ) and probably being housed for free. I've worked in the construction industry for 35 plus years. Mexicans come here and take our jobs. everyday you see only Mexicans on job sites. illegal? probably!\nour big companies is the problem...don't hire them.. hire only American and you will see the surge slow way down. push them back into their own country. they don't like it when we go to their country. but we will see this just like every other time. they will be here taking our heath care our jobs our lifes
