What's interesting: I am a German thinking about moving to Canada, because I believe Germany is a mess. We gave home to more than 1,000,000 refugees since 2015 and still more to come. I am kind of distracted of this video and all the comments. Where would a Canadian go, if he or she wants to leave? Switzerland? Australia? NZ?

Im Canadian and we want to leave too. It’s unbearable.

That’s why I’m leaving Canada. I’m not raising my kids there, I don’t want to live there for the rest of my life, it’s more unsafe than it was when I grew up, it’s unaffordable. I want to buy a house one day and I’ll never be able to do that in Canada. So, I’m out.

How about unskilled immigrants? Are they leaving Germany as well or they want to stay as long time as possible?

This is one of many things that make me want to leave Canada, for good!

I am from Pakistan and all my friends and relatives moved to UK, US, Australia and Canada. When I say all I mean 18 out of 20 left Pakistan and they don't want to come back to Pakistan ever because who doesn't want a better lifestyle for themselves and for their future generations but my father advised me never to leave your country because no matter what other countries will never accept you as their own citizens. Instead of leaving your country try to make it better. \n\nToday I see exactly that happening throughout the world. They want their countries back and you see their hearts filled with hatred against these immigrants. Sooner or later these immigrants will have to sell everything and come back to their countries. What a wise man my father was!

We are at war. We are being invaded. By people that don't share our ideals, or even learn to speak our language. (Try doing that in their countries)\nBut the biggest part is, they want to make our country just like the places they've fled from. If it's so great there, why did you leave?\nIf I move to another country, I will have to assimilate. But for some reason, the West has to adapt to everyone else?\nThe double standard and hypocrisy make no sense, as usual. But we're not supposed to ask questions. We're just supposed to feel guilty for being alive.\nWe are in 1984.

I grew up in the country since I was born (I turn 30 next year), and it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen. But I want to leave, because (as an employed electrical engineer), I will never be able to afford a house or a family. And the values of kindness and generosity that seemed an integral part of Canadian society have been replaced by apathy, indifference, and selfishness. People have given up, leadership is completely out of touch, and the general hate for humanity I encounter on a daily - DAILY - basis makes this place almost unliveable.

What a liar he is if the Palestine didn’t want to leave their land why is there so many of them living in England America and the rest of Europe? Notice there’s none living in Saudi Arabia Turkey or Egypt they don’t want them.

If this whole video is created to gaslight Canadians, I just want to tell you that most Canadians are way past that point. Anyway, I've already decided to leave Canada. Just like the reporter of this video, who lives in the states and who doesn't take part in any of the problems of Canada. Enjoy your life in the US when you leave tomorrow.

I’m not Muslim but I can understand some of these reasons why you’d want to leave Canada…Canadas not merely diverse anymore it’s diluted, money & bills culturalism is the real identity…it’s hard then ever to acquire personal wealth in the socialist nation. Still one of the cleanest & safest though…isolated crimes yes, bigoted & discriminatory somewhat but the irony is it’s mostly from the new immigrants that bring it from their own war torn etc countries. I don’t thing anybody loves the cold.

As someone who lives outside uber diverse NYC, any white person who values a high trust community or wants to start a family leaves very very quick for white majority suburbs, even though they are unfortunately diversifying as well...

Who said Palestinian doesn’t want to leave their land?? Many of them apply to go to Australia and NZ, Canada, Europe and USA as refugees..The muslim world simply doesn’t want to lift the weight

Immigration is a privilege, not a right. It’s their country, their rules. \n\nI’m an international student too, and I’ve worked in the U.S. for 3 years on post-graduate work VISA on a high-skilled engineering position. But I failed to get my U.S. work visa since it’s a lottery process. Despite wanting to stay, I have no grudges against possibly leaving. It’s their house, it’s their rules.

People complain about doctors leaving to the States for more money. But reality is, there is no job opening for new specialists finishing up fellowship. So they are pushed around diff hospital as part timer and they end up leaving. Family doctors are also pushed to become a hospitalists or to just become surgery assistant to avoid paperworks and fees that follow being family doctors. Our healthcare is becoming useless because our government is not grasping the reality.\n\nWe need more highways, a real metro system for to support its growing population with integrated infrastructure. If we need to construct more housing, make it possible for architects to build faster and make it easier to become an architect here too. What is wrong with our roads? Gardiner is being fixed and I hope not for 10years. \n\nThis government legalized drugs for taxation, but cannot control harder drugs invading our cities. Our parks are filled with needles...\n\nNow I am in the process of dual citizenship to move out while I retire. Because I dont want to be sick and wait for 10-20hours in the ER.

Such a BS answer. Did the Syrians leave during their war? Ukrainians? People flee a war zone. This is what has happened throughout history. The Gazans would love to leave. Well my house to taken over by convicts and out of compassion me and my wife gave them our house, as we didn’t know how absurd the laws are to evict a bad tenant.\n\nI being helpless called police and email PM helpline , housing minister, but nothing happened till 4 months, they destroyed my property, and still owe me 14k rent plus utilities, excluding the damages and property mess they created. \n\nWe were terrified , they had two big rescues dogs and would threat us if we come to ask for house check or rent , they would release the dogs on us. \n\nI still have tenant body order for money claim, but my family suggested to leave and move on . But then i think , they would do the same with what ever place they try to move.\n\nWhy would government not spare out property tax or give the home owner the loss of property amount. \n\nYou miss the tax the government pr bank come after you with all the forces. \n\nIts like the house crises , the government want to say , let the stupid home owners eradicate that issue and them let they suffer from the bad tenants abuse the so called tenant laws. \n\nI know my family had to go through.

My parents immiagrated here like 30 years ago and made sure to live in a community with different ethnic groups so they could adapt and learn english and assimilate. No one that immigrates here does that anymore. Im canadian born and i want to leave this country for good. There is nothing here for me.

Look, the challenging housing market is not this man's problem to fix. He rented his home out, they agreed on terms, she violated them repeatedly. What do you want from him, hes a charity?? He's just a man with a home. He shouldnt be demonized. Anybody can do the same if they want to. This is the simplest concept in society. You dont pay, you leave. This is criminal...two sides of the story here i can assume...but both sides are at fault...the tenant is a criminal and the landlord should have done more...put pressure on the landlord and tenants court...the landlord and tenants organization is a joke...no one takes them serious because they have a huge back load of court cases is not an excuse...the government wants more housing with out properly funding the courts and they are costing owners money 3 fold. It's a systematic virus...these figures these landlords quoted do not even include the damage the location has after the entitled criminal tenant leaves behind. Also this is not a mental heath issue, its just a plain purposely planned out criminal act. If they are criminally charged and convicted i am sure they will be comfortable in a 10 X 8 cell for 2 years with free rent, utilities and 3 square meals a day. Ford never takes in account possible issues that can arise he jumps into a project and never considers the side effects...maybe in heart he is a PC but he acts like a Liberal. They need the back log dealt with and a special team to police this industry.

sigh.... what do u expect EU to do for you? EU has housing millions of migrants now, they dont want anymore. Most migrants and refugees all wanan go to germany, france, uk... They had enough also. Bringing in 1 million ppl who haven’t contributed to our socialist system yet giving them full benefits is destroying us! If just my husband didn’t get taxed we could afford for me to stay home but instead my mat leave has ended and we can’t find child care! We are in serious talks about selling the house and moving to Thailand or some other country where our dollar is actually worth something. \nTaking suggestions on English speaking countries to move to!\n\nAnd what other country could u move to and tell them to change? Cuz that’s what happening here. Ppl aren’t assimilating to our Canadian way. We are expected to accept (bend over and take it) and include in the name of “inclusion”. People I know you don't want to hear this, but it looks like we may have to fight. Right now, we are in political turmoil and so they feel we are weak and would be the best time to run over us. They're not leaving unless the system puts them in jail somewhere.

The ruling class is using immigrants as cheap labor. They don't care about their well being nor do they care about that of Canadian citizens. They want to bring in about 550K each year going forward when people are suffering. They don't build nearly enough homes or rental units. We don't have enough doctors and nurses. We get paid West Virginia wages but must pay California level housing costs. Diploma mills have sprung up like crazy charging $40,000 for worthless degrees. There are not enough jobs that pay even minimum wage. As a consequence many who immigrate to Canada leave after a year or two. Those smiling faces you see in this video are of those who are don't yet know the truth!

If you think for one moment you could go to an Asian or Arabic country and have a 'Canada Town' or a 'Little Britain' you are delusional.\n\nYears ago, my father who was an army officer went to Oman to help train their soldiers. On arrival he was given a list 5 A4 pages long of things he COULD NOT DO in that country. He didn't complain and abided by that. One Westerner broke one of the rules accidentally and literally had to leave the country taking nothing with him. Why is ok to enforce culture one way, but not the other? That's your problem. Yes BUt youre forgwtting its expensive because its amazing !\nWhen you want to live in such a beautiful place, it costs more than a s-hole. It is also tied to real things that wont change quickly like mountains, amazing archipelagos and the amount of nature. Where as industries leaving a city can wipe it out completely. Look at Detroit for example. At least if all this economic shenanigans ruins the cost of living, the quality of the physical assets in BC still remains.
