When like nearly every country in the world is full, yeah it sucks. The only thing left is to fight for what you believe in you're own country, rather then fleeing. Life's tough, you don't live forever, don't listen to the cowards.

I've lived in Canada since the late 1980's, starting in Quebec, then Ontario and since 2010 Alberta. I've seen the decline and really don't like where this has gone. However, there have always been ups and downs and the recent pandemic has caused problems for every country. I still like living here, but I love travel as well. So for now we're snowbirds, exploring different locations in South and Central America each winter. I also have ties to Germany, but so far life in Canada suits me more. To be fair unlike America, canada does ACTUALLY have an immigration problem. Immigrants in canada remind the Canadian citizens every day why they are falling into poverty and have no more future. This is why you see a rise of racism against immigrants and stingy attitudes with money like this guy has. \n\nTrust me. Americans, you have NO idea what an actual immigration crisis looks like. You americans are lucky.

It’s ok to explore the world. People are going people are coming. I personally moved to the U.S. I’m working hard as a truck driver and saving money. Every six months I’m traveling the world. Of course Thailand is my favorite at this point. I’d like to experience life in the Philippines because many Americans are retiring there.

Somehow Poland accepted Ukrainian refugees with open arms. And why yes, some commit crimes and behave in unbecoming ways but vast majority learned to speak polish,work polish jobs and uphold cultural and social norms. Having lived in migrant-rich places in UK and Scandinavia, this is simply not the case with migrants from Islamic countries. Their culture, heavily influenced by religion, doesn't have the same values, promotes seclusion from unbelievers and using unbeliever's resources at will because they see non-muslims as beneath them.There are Muslim women in Sweden who are there for 20+ years and speak NONE of the language. The epidemic of sexual abuse , property crime and gang violence, the statistics about learning the language, culture, statistics about employment, even personal interviews are good enough proof that majority of these migrants aren't willing to uphold our rules, our culture and are NOT going to be suitable citizens of Europe. Why should we be paying for people who gleefully admit to not wanting to work and feeling entitled to social benefits? Only France and UK were colonial empires, the rest of Europe had NOTHING to do with the state of Middle East.\nWe sympathise with people wanting to escape from religious fundamentalism, from fear of retribution for their identity and there are separate programmes for them. However we have every right not to want Islam and it's rules and it's fanatics anywhere close - religion is a remnant of the middle age and religious fundamentalism, be it Christian of Muslim is nothing more than an excuse to be hateful and bigoted. Europe has worked hard to free itself from that kind of mentality, to have majority of people who genuinely believe in things like gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, disabled rights, right to healthcare, equality under law and so on - vast majority of which are not compatible with what vast majority of practicing Muslims believe. They don't like us, they don't like the way we behave and dress, they don't want to live like us and follow the same rules- why are they here if not for the resources? If they were there for human rights issues, they wouldn't be bringing the opressive faith that is the source of the human rights violations in their homeland.

Why? because Canada, like every white country, is being invaded

Every place in the world is seeing a rise of costs for everything. I wouldn't trade my life in Canada for any other place. Everything I like in life is here.I am 72 now. I never have a problem seeing a doctor. I call up and sometime get an appointment the next day. I had a cardiac arrest, was brought back to life and had triple bypass surgery several days later and it cost me about $15 for an ambulance ride from one hospital to another, where the surgery was done. I don't wish to move anywhere where all the sports I can watch or play is soccer or cricket. Weather does not bother me.

Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)

Its every where in Canada not just Brampton, its like Canada is India because Canadians become minorities visible, I see that all of Canada are full of Indians. Good for Colleges and Universities. No youth citizens can not find a job for summer. Everywhere is full of Indians, Walmart now is 99 percent work there are Indians.

I think it's good that we run this kind of story. Most landlords especially for condos like this one in Toronto, are owned by regular folks who still work a job and have budgets and families. They aren't greedy, they aren't big corporations; they're just people who bought investment properties and want to rent them out for a price. Canada needs landlords because not every can or even wants to buy real estate.\n\nWhen you see stories like this, which I think are outliers, they're good reminders that being a landlord is risky and income properties don't print money. It's also a reminder to good tenants (which are most tenants) that your landlord isn't being paranoid when they ask for references, proof of income, etc. They would rather scare you off then be saddled with a non-paying, non-leaving tenant (rare as they may be) and they don't know you (and you don't know them).

I think all things are possible when you are young and healthy. As someone with an unexpected chronic disease that showed up in my 40s I'm on immunosuppressants that are very costly. Thank God the gov't here covers them. With treatments every 6 weeks I have no freedom to leave. While that's taken care of, access to a family doctor or emergency care is horrible. Waiting a month for a doctors appt or having to spend 10 hours in emergency is not okay in a developed country.\n As a citizen you have Canada as a safety net, so its no big deal if you move and don't like it. I'm not sure where is safe in the world right now. A lot of people moved to Equador, and then boom the violence got out of control. Just my thoughts on things.

Germany created their own problem in their flawed, points-based model of their government pension system. It is like we are paying backwards, where our money earned right now is taken away from us to pay for the pensions of retired people who earned those rights to a government pension years or decades ago during their working lives. We are then given points, with the hope that the next generations one day pay for our own pensions. See the problem?\n\nInstead, people’s hard earned monthly payments towards pension could have instead have been invested for them into actively-managed portfolios of bonds, equities and commodities. Thereby, each and every person currently on pension could have enjoyed the benefits of decades of compounding growth!\n\nNow we are here, as the video says, 2 workers are needed to cover the pension of 1 retired person. This is absolutely absurd and they will never be able to attract 400,000 new skilled workers every year with the current issues highlighted in this video.\n\nMy best advice - when you are working in Germany, seriously think about it to save and invest a portion of your net income and prepare yourself for a future where you cannot solely rely on your German pension!

I also didn't like the answer by the comissioner, because she told in a way that this is a responsibility by every country to take refugees. By this answer she provides the wrong signal to asylum seekers (that they can demand something from host countries) and also I don't think that it should be a respinsibility of the states, but their will. It should be win-win offer for both sides. But of course I think everybody would like to help to people in the trouble, but recources are not infinite everywhere also. And also there are a lot of imposters. That's why I don't like when governments provide too much social support for all. It should be, but limited. And motivate people to be independent.

Yes there are a lot of issues that needs to be addressed. However, its immature to blame every problem onto immigration. Most of us dont know enough about how things really works. Its not like if we stop immigration then all these problems would be fixed, in fact i think we need this population growth due to low birth rates and lack of labor etc. In my personal experience i see in real life where immigrants are working and contributing in all kinds of fields, such as construction, health care and elderly care … instead of pointing fingers, first educated ourselves on this topic, and then think about how we can make this work, i think that would be more beneficial for everyone.

Cut all salaries to politicians to normal salaries like every middle class person. Rise taxes to all rich people too. First of all. And pause immigration until all existing issues are fixed.

Why treat Palestinians like every other refugee in the world, let them and all their descendents remain refugees for eternity receiving more foreign aid per capital than any other peoples in the world, most of which only goes to the terrorist dictator leadership, and none to the average Palestinian.

This is like this in every country, we people don't want this global immigration agenda. We need to defend ourselves and try to keep our countries safe since politicians won't do anything.

They are all cramped into a 3 bedroom house and 3 cars parked in a 1 car driveway... that for some strange reason, they immediately remove the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??)

I was doing some historical research on the Ark of the Covenant....revealed some evidence that the 'Sephardic Jewish' folks have been hiding for thousands of years....and part of this involves the location of the Ark of the Covenant and the REAL exodus lands of the Ashkenazi Jews. Because they shared European blood with the folks there. They took their cousins in. But only THEIR cousins. \n \nAfter the Sephardic Jews were pushed by Persians into Spain they were kicked out into Morroco / Africa when the Europeans took back this region. We see them impersonating Spanish in South America. They are impersonating French Canadians in Canada trying to push for separatism from Europeans. They are in Russia causing racial conflicts in Russia possibly as Ingush and Dagestan peoples. It is very likely these are the folks that are attacking us all for racial hatred. Its clear they don't like Africa. Its clear they don't like Europe. Its clear they don't even like their Middle Eastern and Ashkenazi Jewish cousins. \n \nIt is NOT a coincidence that the regions these folks live in are under wars and massive migration movements today. News flash: they don't like non-Europeans either. These are the people creating chaos. They are impersonating all of our peoples trying to get us to fight each other to take advantage of the chaos. Don't enable them. \n \nTHINK. Do your research....make sure you aren't just someone else's puppet. These folks are dangerous. If you are NOT one of these folks DO NOT support crimes or false propagandas that attack other races before making sure. Don't just believe them when they shove you across the globe in migration when they tell you that you are legal.

Like in every other country, the more immigrants you have, the more trouble they will create.

As a 32 year old male born in Kitchener, Ontario. This mass immigration is killing our country. With so many immigrants from India that (as a whole, not every Indian) do NOT assimilate to Canada and our culture has us pretty upset. It’s making our housing crisis worse and killing our economy. Canada is not the same country I grew up in and it’s changing fast before our very eyes. We are losing our image, identity and our culture. For my argument, we get called a racist for pointing this out about the mass Indian immigration. They immediately combat us saying “look what you did to the natives” like come on… The truth is, we’d call out anyone else from any other country.

Man I can't believe things are always getting out of hand. Everyday every week it's always getting out of hand. Someone told me the other day, the homeless people in traffic asking for money are getting out of hand. Even though there's been tent cities for at least 8 years now. Seems like it's going to be getting out of hand for years and years and will never actually be bad. ?

I’m saddened by seeing the same common denominator in really, every story like this.

I am an immigrant who moved to Canada about two decades ago, worked day and night now I can't even rent a bachelor room and my fridge is empty since few years, while new immigrants gets all the luxury and 15k credit card, living in Canada is like dying every minute not to be able to support my child and his activities.

For the past ten years all they built is condos for investment and no apartment for rent for the people ,my people we have to look very close to the people we put in power in every level of government in Canada.if we do not start now we will be in the same boat in the future. I would like to know how many past government officials that have invested into the housing market.then we will have a better knowledge on low income housing that are not being built.

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. It seems like there is a small percentage of really bad tenants AND also really bad landlords creating awful policies that ruin it for the large percentage of good tenants and good landlords. Every time I read the news there are horror stories from the point of view of renters BUT also horror stories from the point of view of landlords (like in this case). How can the whole system be so completely broken for both sides? It's crazy lol.

It works both ways. A lot of illegals from Latin America are also passing thru the U.S. enroute to Canada. Thousands are seeking refugee status upon arrival into Quebec or Ontario. Toronto is already bursting at the seams with tens of thousands of refugees plus new immigrants arriving every year. Add in a lack of affordable housing and jobs, and you have the makings of a disaster just like NYC.

Now they only rent on 28 day basis it’s like a quasi airbnb system. you can do it outside of Toronto. make the tenant sign every month. and also furnish the apartment with really basic stuff. the tenants are poor they have no choice.

Of course this is designed to show the tenants in a poor light - which is what they deserve! After 3 months there should be an automatic eviction by a department of the Sheriff unless devastating personal circumstances like losing an arm or something. I dont want to hear the coping arguments about Fed vs Provincial. This country is broken and every tax cent should go towards benefiting the people, not the select minor few who get fat and rich from abusing the system.

And then when they get here, they make every attempt to Change things to be like the home that they ran away from. We don't need a country full of cowards.

This has got to stop I live in San Diego and we are getting swamped it's affecting every neighborhood and the amount of garbage and illegal activity is off the hook. No respect for anything we have. Just exploiting the system while they can. Trump says he,ll deport everyone who come across like this it's time for a massive wall and huge penalties for doing so

Canada should create more attractive cities. No more suburban cities that has no culture and looks like every other city. Ethnic enclaves and multi level housing brings life to big cities and attracts people who want to find community

Great assessment. My wife left Vancouver 22yrs ago. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Sadly the residents would rather smoke a joint than vote for a conservative govt and attend a church. Forget about GOD can't be surprised when he forgets about you. That said Australia is not much better and getting worse by the day. The reason govts love immigrants is because they bring money in and are obivious to the local politics so the govts simply continue to introduce more and more corrupt policies every year. Even after they become citizens they remained divided on political thought because they tend to have a duality of mindset which says, if it all goes bad I will go back to where I came from. Meanwhile the local population is so busy applauding a PM like Trudeau who leagalises pot so they can be so stoned while there country is stolen right out from under them. The country always gets the govt the country deserves. Place your faithin JESUS CHRIST for he is the only one who can save you, not a corrupt govt. But sure, it must be immigration to blame for the exact same housing crisis happening across Canada, Australia, the US, the UK and half of Europe, must be just that one simple factor and definitely not any other systemic or economic factors which might underlie how housing, governance, and migration are linked. \n\nBecause all of those countries certainly have one thing in common, and you're all correct, they all have identical immigration policies, right? Right? Couldn't be the hyper-commodification of housing and development rights stoked under the neo-liberal systems of governance which ACTUALLY forms a shared commonality between these countries. But that would be hard to think about, best just to blame the immigrants, makes life easy breezy. Can't see any problems down the line with that line of thought, right Britain? I got laid off 5 weeks ago ( no renewal of contract).. after 7 years working for that NFP.. I applied for snap and unemployment… while applying for jobs( social worker field)… first, they ask for so many documents… including my bank account….( again I was laid off .. not fired nor left my job, nor finding reasons not to work all those years ), department of labor had a mandated zoom meeting to discuss what I needed to do 4 weeks after I was laid off( like i don’t know)… I ve been working for years and paying taxes… a lot of them in NYC, I was also told that I have to show what I am doing to search for work and eventually should take a job( even if the salary is low..ridiculous)… I was also informed that I may get a call from investigator from DOL..they may call individuals receiving unemployment benefits($441 a week after taxes?)… to verified that I was searching and applying for jobs( even though I enter my activities related to work weekly on their website…..)….. meanwhile… people with 0 legal documentation are entering the US and living here, free snap, free housing, free health insurance!!!! Lala land!!!! Can’t wait for this non sense to stop!!! Every corner of NY , you see families begging for money. Food…I feel bad as a human being, but refuse to help or I ll be joining them too… welfare system needs to change too! The politics NEED to change!!!All the best !

I don’t think it is anti immigration in general, it is more anti Indian immigration. Look at Brampton and many other parts of Ontario and BC Almost no diversity in some cities. It doesn’t feel like Canada. Every Tim Hortons, truck drivers, many Indian international students, gas stations. Look at the job fairs, mostly Indians. What happened to diversity.

Vote for Kamala and your neighborhood is going to look like a child illegal immigrant holding a “need money” hungry sign posted in every parking lot and intersection. It’s already hit our community. How does your look?

I'm an immigrant to Canada. I've been here for 35 years (came here when I was 6). The current immigration/migration/ayslum seeker rates have gone completely insane. It isn't racist to think it's gone overboard. I went to very very multicultural schools. I grew up in Toronto and have lived downtown for 20 years now. I love our multiculturalism but there are limits to immigration if there simply isn't an infrastructure to support countless hundreds of thousands of people trying to move into the city each year. It's not sustainable at all. The roads aren't getting bigger, the housing zoning isn't getting easier, new hospitals aren't being built. You cannot try and cram 4 million people in a city built for like 2 million people. People moving to Canada simply do not realize just how absurdly expensive this place has become. What's the better alternative being poor in India or being poor in Canada? Because unless you are making 100k a year you are going to basically be poor in Toronto.\n\nThe big big difference as someone who has lived downtown Toronto for 20 years is now the homeless are very multicultural. 10 years ago it wasn't like that as much. Now people from every race and every background are at risk of homelessness. It's a rate race, it's a very competitive city for housing and jobs and as soon as you aren't in making $$$$$ you will fall behind.

Well the same happens in HK when HK government, which its citizens never voted for, welcomes thousands and thousands of mainland Chinese immigrants every year (who are very rich) for work, investment (money laundering) and university degrees and the rent goes up every year like crazy, and all they want is a HK passport so they can then move overseas, and they still shame and mock HK for fighting for democracy
