There are over 1,000,000 Indians here in America who came here on a tourist or student visa who never went back home once their visa expired. They are living here illegally. Thousands of Indians are flooding across our Southern border into the U.S. They then claim they are persecuted back home in the world’s biggest democracy and apply for political asylum. This is all very dishonest! Indians are coming here for economic reasons. And they have no interest in our American way of life here of freedom and equality. Proof of this is that we are having to pass new laws to prevent Indians from discriminating against their own fellow Indians! Higher caste Indians here are discriminating against the Dalits or so called ‘Untouchables’ who are also here. \n\nStay home! Make India a better place instead of flocking over to the USA and bringing all of your bad habits over here with you! Over 700,000,000 Indians don’t even have access to a toilet! I’ve been to India many times so I know all about the real India! Remain there in India and tackle this huge problem. Demand your government stop spending $Billions on new aircraft carriers and other military equipment and build new toilets for your own citizens instead so women and girls feel safe when they need to relieve themselves and so India won’t be so filthy and smelly! Open defacation is very unsanitary! Unhealthy!

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. I just came back from a camping trip at Peter Lougheed Provincial Park last week. At the campground, the Indians campers not only turned up the music so loud and danced, they also erected the Takraw net in the middle of the road for the game, blocking the traffic, thinking they own the campground ….

In my state Kerala, we feel very offended when we see migrant workers from north, north east and northeast india and even Tamil nadu.. because they don't follow any rules, they are involved in crimes and of late they have started imposing their ways in Kerala.. a few days back I had to call the police after a Bengali migrant worker stared, whistled and eve teased my wife from the near by construction yard. Just like that when we Indians go to foreign countries I'm sure those foreigners also feel the same about us when we try to push our ways into their culture..

You guys missed the point of living in Canada. It's a place where you didn't need to push to the front of the line, a place where you knew the abundance wasn't in trying to scam your fellow man. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Also what is the accountability of EAM Jaishankar, Indian education minister etc if there are agencies misguiding youth to go to Canada and defrauding students

Not just Indians. All international students are also affective. Its just that Indian student dominates the most. They have the largest number of students.

Canada has, for the past few years, just welcomed the Labour class, people with no skills and no basic civic sense. People who can't even survive in their own country without any help, and just because they are academically qualified (by the way, people also qualify themselves using fake degrees), they get the visa. Good luck to the Canadian government, who made this mess, and to the Indian visa agents, who got rich selling these fake Canadian dreams to students!

3:30 the government and business who are bed with each needed scab labor to fill low wage service jobs that refused to adapt to free market principles and make the jobs more desirable So that's on them but but its also on Indians for allowing themselves to be used like this over the years I have had dozens of East Indian workers who work at Tim Hortons and Amazon order a ride 10 minutes before their shift starts for a trip that takes 20 min to get to because they were too god damn cheap to pay the surge fare and order their ride sooner but expect me to break the law and speed so they can get to their scab wage job.

It not anti indian policy.. international student are not all indian .. there is other country citizen that are also not allow to get work permit as well . let not play the race card now.. indian act like you are alway are special.. when apply for your student visa there were term and condition.. and one of the term is that once your visa expires you must LEAVE the county. I have to say as a white Canadian i have met some Indian people who are the nicest people but I have also had some that were the worst kind of people personally from my experience it has mostly been those who have come since the pandemic which is due to our government not properly screening people. As for brampton I was going to school and my instructor was Indian and I was surprised when he started bragging about when Indians first arrive in canada that they are taught by there church how to take advantage of the Canadian government systems and legally sue people he literally told me that and i was shocked that he actually bragged about that and thought it was perfectly ok i don't hate him or any Indian people but that kind of thing does happen alot in brampton and it definitely doesn't help Indians in most people's eyes especially when there's some bragging about it .and frankly same with the YouTube videos talking about taking advantage of our food banks not good at all especially when people are relying on them to feed their children.It also doesn't help when someone states there opinion and automatically it is called racist.

Canada is a proxy colony of USA. Most of them works for USA based companies or it firms. And true fact is any big country need proxy or supportive country to makes herself powerful. Even look at old Indian kingdoms they also capture from Iran and Iraq in west to Indonesia, cambodia in east.

First and foremost the natives of North America are Red Indians . You so called “ (original)” Canadians are also immigrants . Your forefathers immigrated from Ireland and UK .\n So the Indians coming to Brampton are contributing to the economy there . Spending on education, housing and fooding. It seems that Canadians are not working and therefore are homeless and drug addicts . Had they rented out their houses to the Indian students and set up shops and sold goods to the students they would have been better off. In Canada, it was way too many, way too fast. All of a sudden there were tens of thousands Indians everywhere and it freaked out Canadians. They were dominating low skill jobs which blocked young Canadians and students from employment, and cost the tax payer millions/billions in subsidized income and welfare for foreign workers. The Liberal government are idiots and incompetent at running the country, and now Trudeau is backpaddling to try to fix what he has broken. There have always been Indian migrants to Canada, but they must enter the proper way to apply for citizenship in manageable numbers. Indians must also understand that temporary workers and students does not mean you are Canadian citizens, and you will have to return home when your visa expires.

I never usually comment, but really had to speak up. Those of you from the US should not be involved in this conversation considering ur melting pot country with little diversity who is unaccustomed to diversity anyways (i went to america and was shocked at how little coloured minorities there were, and if there were it was just one type that was not brown). Canada has always had brown people, and many of the people you are talking about could be those that immigrated many years ago here or those that were born here. This is different from those immigrating who are also brown - you are grouping those from all different countries in South Asia (with brown skin) as Indian. Just because you see a brown person working in Walmart, it could just be someone who was born here or came here a long time ago. Brown people and Indians included are not in a majority in any way - just look at the population stats.

I am a finland National and i did my student exchange in Canada for 3 months 4years ago with Lots of indian students in my class,i honestly admire their hardworking and resilient spirit,i still have few them as friends,though i am back in Finland and employed,so also is my Indians friends they are employed in canada and paying taxes,I am just curious why Canada is targeting and don't want this group in Canada,maybe Canadians don't need more workers :)

Yeah Indian students come to Canada and empty food banks intended for Canadians, occupy rental houses needed for Canadian families, and take all service jobs making it hard for Canadian born students to find part time work.... They also get free services paif for by Canadian taxpayers for Canadian citizens... Canada gets ripped off by students of every race and nationality.... Canadians getting totally fed up. As an Indian living in India, I also hate Canadians as well. They stereotype whole India without realizing the diversity of India. They are putting the blame on Indians, but not ready to acknowledge their immigration policy is poor. Your immigration policy should encourage bright minds to move there, but their selection criteria favours particular religion, area and people. Punjab is only a small part of India and so is Gujarat. Majority of Indians don't care about Canada.

At the end of the day the main issue is the Government used Indian students to supplement the economy at the expense of the Canadian citizens. Now in 2024 the Trudeau liberals still refuse to pause it because of the economic impact it will have on their corporate friends and the schools. They also subsidize immigrant students which incentivises businesses to only hire Indian students. Canadians can't find affordable housing or a minimum wage job and Indians are paying the price. I feel bad saying it because I'm not a racist but I don't want anymore Indians, or any immigrants at all, here unless they fill a vital need in the economy. We simply no longer have the housing or jobs and it's as simple as that. Enough is enough.

Please Don’t blame Indian people, blame Canada’s government. Indian people come with Education and money. Yes we have our own culture and own language but we also like Canadian people and their culture. Canadian government wants more money and that’s why they are inviting more n more students from world and mostly come from India and there is nothing wrong with that. All Indians come here in Canada as a true immigrant. Why you are not talking about so many refugees, who come to Canada with no education no money and they are burden on government. Compare to refugees, Indians work hard, get education here, pay fees in colleges, earn work permit and then pass English exam and then get PR and then citizenship. Indians work hard and earn PR and citizenship here in Canada but what about refugees and asylum seekers. They fucking don’t do anything and they fucking easily get PR citizenship. Why you’re not talking about this ???? Immigrants come to Canada from all over world not just India. Lots immigrants from African countries,Bangladesh, Pakistan, Philippines and so on. It's all about genetics. If you are short, ugly and physically weak (vast majority of Indian men), racism will automatically follow you. Improve your genetics, Indian people. Arranged marriages have destroyed your genetics where a person that looks like a donkey and just as smart can find a partner via an arranged marriage and reproduce their bad genes. In my country, for a man to find a partner, we have to go to the gym, we have to physically look good, learn to defend ourselves, educate ourselves, get high paying jobs etc to find a partner. An Engineering degree won't automatically get us a partner here, we have to look good and fight for the women's love. Ugly, short, weak men who can't defend themselves, they don't get to find a partner and they die off and their weak genes die off with them. Sometimes if they are ugly and weak but super rich they will find a wife but that's a rare case. Indians haven't kept up with world standard genetics of strength, height, looks, physical ability. They have always relied on Maths and Science degrees and overseas high paying jobs to find a partner and be respected. Guess what, my neighbor is 6 foot 2 inches in height, he goes to the gym, works hardand when he walks down the street, everyone respects him and talks nicely to him and he doesn't need an Engineering degree to get that respect. He works in a factory but the world respects him because of good genetics and he can beat you up if you say anything to him. It's his good genetics that get's him respect. I have ugly, short and weak Indian friends and they get racial attacks all the time. I also have good looking, tall and strongly built Indian friends and they don't experience racism. It's all in your genetics. So stop reproducing weak genes and let them die off and in 50 - 70 years, Indian genetics will improve with tall, strong good looking men and women and your desirability overseas will improve meaning you could go anywhere in the world and be respected, you wouldn't have to do Engineering and Math based courses to balance off bad genetics or to get respect etc. You would be able to get service based jobs with little education with good genetics, like Realestate Agent, Management, Customer Service roles, Business roles etc. Not just stuck in a computer lab crunching numbers like most Indian men going overseas do now.

Its god given right for indians to settle in north or south america. Christopher Columbus was searching for india when he accedently found your continent and named locals as red indians and indiapolo indiana is indian and also studies shown red indians used to worship indian hindu gods.❤❤❤canada , usa are our too . Do you know what is truly sad? Indian People are some of the hardest workers wherever you go, they take jobs that most won't do are highly educated and respectful towards everyone. They work their butt off and when they get taken advantage of, it seems they don't get the same attention. THAT MAN HAD BEEN SAVING HIS ENTIRE LIFE AND HE IS NOT ONLY ENTITLED TO THE RENT BUT ALSO THE DISTRESS THAT THIS TENANT HAS CAUSED HIM AND HIS FAMILY. He is right, she is R***ing the Law. Hopefully, he gets justice!

In face, Canada is good to raise children, but when they grow up and you are free on yourself, it is better to change to live in other countries. South america and Southeast asia are among good choices. Selling your house will stop paying the ever rising government tax and strata fee but gives you a more affordable housing while plenty left for buying medical insurance abroad. Saving of 35-45% tax can easily buy a descent plan. Canada is great but the cost of living is far more greater! In long run, Canada will become more occupied by Indians and other third world countries immigrants who like to raise large family to maximize their welfare and send children to school for free. The employers like cheap labour and bigger consumer size so they support Treadue. The foreign students in my company ridiculously work more than study. Bureaucratic inefficiency is also prevailing in many governmental bodies, federal and provincial alike. Large private companies are not much better.

I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet. \nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

There are also Indians who are scamming and using fraud to enter or remain in Canada. Just because someone has a work permit or study permit doesn't mean they are here legally. Some use fraud to get their status. LMIA scams, College Acceptance Letter scams etc
