I can see westerners being freaked out by the women who cover their face. I myself was like wtf when I seen a women with covered face for the first time back in northern Virginia, and I am from Ethiopia - a country that has a big Muslim population, more than 30%. We live among Muslims peacefully, because we respect our differences, but the ones back home do not really cover their face so I was not used to it. Really we should do better than creating differences, there is no better race or religion, all humans are the same, we all practice the 7 deadly sins religiously. and all the people commenting saying they hate Muslim and what it stand for, what religion are you because the Bible teaches compassion, it does not say to hate what you don't understand.

There are a lot of things that we have not put into law, because they are covered by common sense. If a Muslim woman goes into a shop and makes a purchase It is reasonable for the shop keeper to want to see their face, after all a large robe can hide a lot of shop lifted goods.. We can make that law if it becomes necessary, so a person must comply with the law and not claim that their religious law is greater. Trouble with the Muslim religion is that it is a political system within a religion.. Just think of all the wrong that was done in the name of Christianity, we have learnt from that, now the Muslims have to learn the same lesson.

People real Islam is not a religion of peace! Read the Koran and you will see! It's true that most Muslims are peaceful,but most Muslims like Christians follow the traditions of their Mosque or Church but do not follow the full letter of the Koran or Bible. True Koran believing Muslims who follow the full letter of the word of the Koran are violent and are not tolerant of other religions. they are a threat to any civilized society! Wake up people this radical evil religion will do nothing but cause pain and suffering to any country who tolerates it! Christianity is a religion of love and peace,a religion who's member are full of a holy,righteous spirit and compassion for their fellow man. A religion that is freely given and freely received and a religion to never be forced on another human being! We as a civilized people must never bow down to evil, even if our evil government try to force us to . We must all stay true and firm to our God and our brothers in Christ no matter what the cost! The issue is islam, not all muslims. I understand the Islam Religion I read the Quran , Mohammad was a Nut case nothing more .I see Muslims asking for more than the people of Canada gets they want the government to fund Islamic centers and schools while the government does not do this for any other religion . The Alberta government built am Islamic center in Edmonton but will not give any other religion a friend ship center . I rather if no more of them comes here .

what we need is an enlightment movement with islam where the individual determines whats best for themselves rather than these literal interpretations. In the U.S. at my school many of the 3rd generation muslim kids my age are becoming integrated. Girls wear hats that conceal their hair and long sleeves that fit within their religions dress code instead of the burka and young men are very open to other people ideas such as alchohol use. The problem is when families control their children, as in any case really, and are less than open to change. As a son of an immigrant the most important step with integration is the elimination of your cultural identity, you leave your values in your own country because you are no longer in an enviorment where your opinion matters or is relevant. If muslims could adjust/conform their rules to fit the conscripts of western civilization everything would be dandy. Adapt to fit the society that you move into, dont try to reform society to better suit yourself expecially when your a foriegner.

Christians are not under the law of even their own Bible. That is because Jesus fulfilled the law when he died and rose again. Now to those that think Christianity and the Islam is the same you are naive. Firstly the violent verses in Christianity is speaking as part of the old testament temple law. and as I said earlier Jesus dies to fulfill the law, so we are not under the law, and any other violent verses in the Bible is in fact a description of a historical event... \nNow the Quran prescribes the violence in the newer verses. The newer verses of the Quran which supersedes the older more peaceful version. \nIn Christianity newer verses supersede the old but, the newer verses are more peaceful. unlike the Quran where the newer verses are more violent.\nAlso one must look at the founder of any religion to see what it is like. Jesus was peaceful and perfect even Mohammad agrees with that,\n\nBut Mohammad killed, raped, had sex with a prepubescent girl named (forgive me for the spelling ) Aishia. He had sex with her when she was 9 years old, Jesus was against that. \n\nThe followers in the religion are to copy the the founder of that religion. The Hadith is a collection of Mohammad's sayings. so the followers of islam are supposed to follow that too. ISIS are some of the most devout Muslims in the world and follow the Quran and the Hadith to the letter. To say ISIS does not represent islam is like saying tele-evangelists are not a part of Christianity. (And I am sure some of you might actually agree with that) but the fact is it does. The personal character of them does not always represent Christianity. Jesus was perfect Mohammad was not. Jesus is sitting at the right had of God \nMohammad was the worst of sinners. \n\nMohammad is in hell because he was killed my a female and according to Mohammad in the Hadith a man murdered by a woman is going to go to hell. That would also include Mohammad. \n\nSo who would you want to follow. I love the woman who is a Muslim, speaking out against Muslims. She does have several good points. There has been so much violence that has gone hand in hand with the religion. Don't make it worse by rubbing Islam in people's faces.

There is so much negativism associated with Islam and all Muslims get tarred with the same brush. They frighten us. Their dress is alien to us. ISIL and other groups do unspeakable things in the name of their religion. Their religion is too demanding. Christianity and other religions can adjust to scientific facts. We KNOW the world is round and there are other worlds, so far unpopulated, out there. Islam seems to demand adherence to its core beliefs written centuries ago and makes no concessions to emerging facts. Religion is the main influence in the life of Muslims and their Imams seem to have a lot to do with governance and education, instead of the separation of church and state to which we are used. If you come to Canada to live, then adjust to our values or leave, please. This doesn't mean that you have to stop attending a mosque but please discontinue the scary body coverings and start treating your women as equals, not chattels. Even some women will argue with that last bit, but why does a woman have to cover up and a man does not? This is NOT equality.

Canada is going the way of Europe (France, Belgium - even England). Religions are all absurd nonsense, but this one is particularly worrisome, advocating violence, the destruction of infidels and installation of shariah law. More political than mystical, really. So sad to throw away this great country built by our hard working, well meaning ancestors. I fear for our kids and their kids, who will be under the yoke of a muslim majority in just a few decades because of the birth rate differential.

Safety should trump religion. Nowhere in the quaran does it say women should wear burqa. That is a practice adopted by muslim men to keep their women inline.

I don't care if you wear hijab but covering face all the time and refusing to take pictures for lisence and passport is not okay. also when the whole world has problem with your religion maybe there must actually be problem you have to fix and not act like you are the victims. we have right to be careful and no its not fair to you but this is what people who follow Islam faith and harm others get you.
