On March 18th 2020 my dad passed away from a fentanyl overdose, went from a normal single parent household to a drug den filled with every type of tweaker imaginable. \n\nI appreciate you shining light onto how severe this issue is.\n\nI was 18 when my dad first got into the drugs and was homeless for a couple years. \n\nThe only reason why im not still homeless or selling drugs is because my dad died and for some reason the insurance company still paid out his full coverage.\n\nThe house fell so far behind on the bills the bank wasnt sure if they were going to just repossess the mortgage or give it to me. \n\nThank you dad for paying the life insurance bill even when the power and water bill was not paid.\n\nBefore my dad passed i was living off of $300 a month, the government didnt give a crap about my situation.\n\nI went to multiple different agencies and they were more concerned with drug addicts and immigrants than helping a young healthy 18yr old boy that just needed a place to stay so he could go to school.

FOREIGN STUDENTS ARE Not here to get a high quality education and then take their skills back home to contribute to and build up their own country. Being a foreign student is a facade. It's solely to get your foot in the door and show Canada that you are a good boy & working hard and ultimately get a citizenship. Then step two is to start the process to bring your parents and siblings over and step three your grandparents and as many extended family as possible. Paying and providing social programs for people that haven't been contributing into the system for a lifetime is not sustainable!

Let’s not circle the obvious here. These are the major problems in Canada that are greatly amplified and visible in the bigger metro areas:\n\n- Loss of economic opportunity due to the disastrous Liberal government policies of Justin Trudeau, with all the known bad social consequences.\n\n- Out of control immigration. Impossible for a country to absorb that many immigrants in a short period of time to make them productive and pay into the system.\n\n-Rampant and oppressive woke culture. I am non Muslim also living in the Okanagan Valley and I agree with you on all these points. Being third generation Canadian I am also considering leaving Canada. I remember as a young boy the Okanagan has been very discriminating to others who just did not fit in to their normal.

I have lived in many different countries as a Muslim. I have found the perfect balance of Islam, freedom in my day to day life to do things, finding halal, masjids 10-15mins within where I live with programs for my kids and social/educational events. I homeschool my kids and the laws for it are very easy. I absolutely abhor the government though and your no. 1 reason would be mine to leave. However as I explore other options I don’t see options for Muslim country that is easy to naturalize into. \n\nI have joined groups to make future changes through congress and government and trying to learn how I can help with these efforts. I try to imagine what would happen if all the Muslims left these colonizing countries. Boy do they need us yet make us feel like we are powerless. I try to imagine well what if we unified more and kept working for change? While being able to live and practice e Islam how we want. Anyways. Just mumbling some of my own thoughts.
