I’m Canadian. I’ve not been a fan of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the past, but he is the man for the moment and I’m so proud of him right now! Articulate, thoughtful, calm and firm. Exactly what a true leader should be. To my American neighbours: this is what leadership looks like. Bringing the country together,not tearing it apart??

I AM an American, and this NEEDS to happen. A true test of American democracy is happening! Sometimes, when things look the worst, especially with this American experiment, we get stronger and better. But in the meantime, it all looks like shit. I am from Kazakhstan, and we stand with Canada, Ukraine, and Mexico! Unfortunately, our government cannot openly express what we truly think because of our crazy neighbor. We share the longest land border in the world with Russia.\n\nThe only way to achieve peace in the world is to grant freedom to the indigenous nations within Russia, who are enslaved in their own homeland. If Russia were to retreat to its true borders—around Moscow—this world would become a much better place to live.\n\nAs Kazakhs, we know the Russian regime very well. We have been deceived more than once by Russian rulers over the past 200 years, and due to their ruthless policies, we lost more than 70% of our population. They have never lived well, and their goal is to make the whole world suffer just as much as they do.\n\nAll of this chaos and crisis originates from Russia!

Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

Sounds like Canada had a true plan to work on border crossings and drug problem, while Trump wants to just attack and make up lies about criminals and numbers.

Its incredible what is happening. After humiliating Zelensky , saying that he didnt want peace (not true), now Trump starts a trade war with Canada. It's so insane. Its like Trump follows Putin, or like they are allies in destroying the world. Is this the way to make America great? Its already a nightmare.

As I understand it, the USA was not charging any tariffs to Canada before these were created. But Canada had tariffs to the USA. If that isn't true, then it can at least be said that Canada's tariffs were higher for the similar items than the USA tariffs. And now Canada is complaining? To hell with Canada.

True conservatives valued patriotism, not populism. True conservatives valued family, not the widely accepted sexual scandals behind Trump and Musk. True conservatives valued solidarity with our allies, not scorning them. \n\nTrue conservatives were reasonable, warm, and cared about our country. What they call conservatives today, I do not recognize at all. I must not be a conservative anymore.
