The Leftist government and activists, are deliberately steering Canada’s economy downward. While filling the country full of immigrants, to destabilize Canada. They are trying to turn Canada into a have not country. The Leftist ideology is to replace Canadians, and Canada’s identity as well as history. Their goal is to turn the people into uneducated drones, who will just obey the demands of monsters like Soros, Schwab, and Trudeau etc. They want a socialist society, in fact the environment Minister admitted he’s a proud socialist. These people are dangerous and given the chance will destroy Canada, and the fabric of Canada’s history both good and bad. History allows people to learn from previous mistakes, or celebrate all the good that had made Canada Successful until now. So to try and erase our History and rewrite it saying Canadians were all slave traders, colonizers, Nazis, and genocidal monsters toward everyone who wasn’t white is unfair and inflammatory. Those trying to do this to Canada & Canadians are disgusting people, who should NEVER have the right to be in a position of power ever again! Period!

The wages in Canada are an embarrassment in compared to the USA. The average salary for an intermediate Recruiter in the USA is 100k-$140+. In Canada, its $50-60k and dropping. Salaries in Canada have become stagnant since 2008, and the only jobs are those that are min wage. Our government allows migrants and immigrants to come in to insure our wages to go up.

Ridiculous! Those agents are not being suppprted by our government at all. Why are we stupidly allowing this?

$200 Billions spent on foreign war to protect their borders, but nothing done with our borders the past 3 years. Biden and the Dems really screw up Americans, they purposely allow millions of illegal immigrants into this country so they can get more future votes, while Americans are put in danger with futures terrorists, criminals, cell agents. Increase in crime, inflation, higher cost of living, higher taxes, higher insurance. The physical and financial burden we have to deal with. Sure in some parkland towns they don’t allow too much building like in Banff. But otherwise, Canada is a capitalistic nation. Private investors build homes, not the public government so much. I was born and raised here. I am doing my exit plan as I cannot afford to live here as young-adult living on my own. The government knew exactly what they were doing when they allowed 9 million people to come here in a short amount of time. How can you provide billions for foreign aid but can't provide basic necessities to your own citizens? I have cut EVERYTHING extra out of my life and even while working a full-time job I cannot survive in my own country. Canada is a country for the elite, cliche style immigrants, and for the ultra wealthy who pass down intergeneration wealth. A failed health care system that provides little to no services at which you pay out of pocket to get access with private health care providers. You can't depend on transit as it is the mercy of the corrupt transportation/commissioners aka unions and the cost of gas is out of this world. I AM SO LUCKY I went to university and graduated when I did because the same degree would have cost 15k-20k more...food is super expensive...renting an apartment is seen as a form of luxury....you have to know someone to get basic things done. What a shameful society...a society that treats immigrants with upmost respect only to turn around looking the other way when it comes to homelessness...the housing crises...lack of employment oppts, gosh I can go on. My brother was lucky enough to move to Dubai and cash in on his savings by investing it into his properties where he pays 0 tax on his salary from his job.

Canada is a crock of shit. Even before the Liberals ruined it, and even before they threw Christianity and the Lord out of school here, governments exercised their insatiable greed to spend and hob nob internationally like celebrities, Trudeau being the worst. The education system made no sense and served only to divide the intelligent and the less intelligent, never actually producing intelligent people but simply to go through the rigors of separating them. The Corporate greed in this country is astounding. The rich really get rich off the depravity of the rest of the people. The gap between the rich and poor now is terrifying. We allowed cowards for politicians and the LGBTQ rights lobbyists to separate us from Jesus who is God and then from our prosperity because the Word of God condemns them together. Canada is a veritable hellhole with no future. Do not come here without millions of dollars or be prepared to lose everything you brought with you from your native country.

It is not only in Canada, Australia has the same problem. In recent years, the government has allowed too many immigrants to enter the country without considering the consequences. The number of new immigrants is higher than new houses, which creates a housing and rent price issue.

Our government is useless, prices double and they just act surprised ? They have hearings on why we are being robbed by every single major company in Canada and literally never do a single thing after it’s all just a ruse. These same people own stocks in these companies and just keep doing it. Canadians have been let down by their government so badly it is hard not to call it treason, but it is so bad because we have allowed complete monopoly over certain industries and never controlled them so they feel invincible with the feds invested and such a big market share.

The arab world would never allow a Palestinian settlement again.. In Jordan they tried to overthrow the government... Trouble wherever they go..

Canada, Australia, New Zealand, USA, and the UK have simply become nightmare for immigrants who are lured by the commission agents for a better future. The government of the five countries pretty much allows the immigration scams to flourish because more people simply mean more money and cheap labor. Basically, it's an indirect slavery into a trapped system that completely destroys your ability to get out of it. These five countries do not have an organic ecosystem to grow in a self sustainable way. These are largely consumer societies depending on the import of goods and food. The import of people generates more tax to keep these countries going. In a nutshell, extreme dirty capitalism will destroy these countries soon.

The problem is immigration policy and housing policy were treated as separate. Yes, I know, how is this possible? Easy, incompetence. This problem was allowed to boil and that the kettle blew up the geniuses are scratching their ass wondering what went wrong. The government's answer, move the Minister of Immigration and make him Minister of Housing. This is akin to inviting the arsonist who was responsible for the fire to put it out. By the way, listening to this pompous windbag is worth the amusement. In one interview he stated the obvious, how immigration was a problem for housing, something that escaped powers of observation when he was Minister of Immigration.

Great country, great people, corrupt, authoritarian government that has allowed predatory mega corps to take over just like the US.

Re Indian students as a former teacher I have to also say that many Indian students coning here are lacking the basics. I also found that students educated in US states like Florida and Texas were around two grades behind. Many Indian studenrs here have high expectations but poor background and inadequate English language skills. It is a shame that people are getting into Canada with false documentation and credentials. Also they are enrolling in very dubious schools and it is no surprise that they find life here very difficult. Hopefully the Canadian government will take greater care to see that only suitable candidates are allowed to come to Canada as students. Also students from other countries should avoid coming here if they don't really have sufficient skills and should make sure that they are choosing reputable educational institutions. There are lots of private institutions with fancy names. Don't be fooled.

Yeap! Agree and enjoy your new country of choice. And please make sure you move to a country where they will not allow you to keep your Canadian Citizenship for your own protection against our leftist government. Good for you.

Toronto’s demographics structure changed dramatically with in especially last 5 years. And it looks like we are not allowed to talk about this. Government says they are welcoming international students from all around the world but 35% is from India. If we add other type of visas percentage goes even higher. Why ? I moved to Canada to live in multi cultural country. Is there anybody in government talk about this subject possible issues in the future?

The people that are complaining about Canada have some valid points , as do I . But in travelling to other countries you really see how the good extremely out weighs the bad . The main problem in my opinion is allowing massive Immigration without improvement of services across every aspect of living . This leads to the degradation of the quality of life . That explains it. 30 years ago, only economic professional immigrants or refugees were only allowed to immigrate to Canada, it changes so much now. My child graduated in computer science in 2021 and is still looking for a job in software development. Government policy allows Canadian companies to off shore their software development work and also allows for foreigners with IT experience to be fast tracked as permanent residence to Canada. It is gloomy for young Canadians, as our Govt- federal and Provincial- places more focus on businesses and profits about stability rather than orderliness in our society.

I’m a born Canadian and Canada was once the envy of the world. Cost of living was decent and plenty of good paying jobs. I couldn’t imagine being an immigrant here now. Cost of living is skyrocketing and our government does nothing about it. We are taxed so high and get little in return for the high taxes. Though our healthcare system is free and We do have state of the art facilities and skilled doctors it takes forever to get treated due to high wait times and staff shortages. There are many people immigrating to Canada with high education and experience but Canada does not allow them to practice here because they were not educated here. They are forced to take lower paying jobs. Many young people are leaving because it just too expensive to live here and the political climate is not what it used to be. Growing old here is very difficult unless you have support from family or have a large enough pension account to live in a retirement community

Yes , it has to stop. because the is no housing for them here . and also this students are doin a business .like they will buy a house here with the help of some family where they come from. and then they will recruite or bring thier parents here or relatives . why on earth this students can buy a property while they are only on students visa. they do not pay any tax . am talking with my experienced after when after learning that the buyer of my house was a students. it was so disgusted. my Question is why this government allowing this to happened. and now I can not get an affordable place to buy or to rent. not even in a independent senior living . what a SHAME .

There needs to be a rule that Canadian educational institutions cannot have more than 1/3 of their student base being non-Canadian students. For every 2 Canadians in that school, only 1 foreign student is allowed, otherwise, that college will have to hand over all excess tuition directly to the government.

Why is this allowed to happen? Bottom line - resuming adequate and equitable funding for post-secondary education must be front of mind while discussing the implications of lack of housing for international students. The point about cuts to public funding is underplayed and not well-contextualized in this CBC analysis - which just barrels on to band-aid fixes (like capping numbers or building more housing). The funding model itself needs to be fixed. Let's change the model from provincial to a provincial/federal hybrid funding model. And while we're at it, let's revise the funding model for healthcare. Why not do a sequel segment on that.

I don’t think the student’s are a problem as much as immigration itself.\nCanada has been very negligent the way immigrants were taking in to the Country. Instead of letting these immigrants responsibly come into the Country , they were stampeding into Canada without anyone watching that these people even were eligible or not. We have no doubt many undesirable’s who would not have been allowed under normal circumstances. Even now people have no place to stay, yet more and more immigrants are coming and sit on top of each other. How is this healthy for these people and how is this healthy for Canada and Canadians. The Government is so irresponsible, that they simply have to be thrown out !!

WHY is our government allowing universities to recruit international students. Why is the federal government allowing the universality to live off of these cash cows. The educations of these students are sub par. YOU CAN'T FAIL THEM CAUSE THEY PAID FOR THE DEGREE is disgusting. I am not against international students coming here. Actually its good that young people wanna come here. However is it fair to ask if the government allows almost 1 million people to come, is it fair to ask the government to also at least build 500k new housing and all the support related to that like roads, hospitals, police stations, etc. if not then dont invite people over so they can fight each other for space to be able living here. That is just disrespectful!!!!

I work for the BC provincial government, and part of my job is to hunt for homes to house women who are escaping violence. After spending 3 months searching for homes in Surrey, I've seen anywhere between 10-22 individuals living in a modest sized home. These homes are often very well run-down, have poor plumbing, and many illegal suites, and I've literally seen people sleeping in closets. Landlords can get away with this because the students from India don't care, don't have a choice, or are used to this standard. What the federal government is doing is unbelievable, allowing many people into the country. Just because international students come from places where they can sleep on top of each other doesn't mean they should allow it to happen here, reducing the living standards for everyday tax-paying Canadians. Despicable.

One issue you did not talking about is the international students taking the Canadian universities space from the Canadian citizen students. Especially for doctorate degrees canada government allowed only 3% of Canadian student to enter to this program the same as for dentist, laws and other this is unjust, and discrimination against the canadine citizen students after all those international students are not Canadian citizen and their English languish is the second languish, why a Canadian citizen student have to go to USA or other countries and pay doubles fees in order to get in to those programs. \nI want the government canada in order to make it right approving 97% of Canadian student application for those programs in all universities in canada and only 3% application for international students. This will resolve the discrimination issue, the houses crises, and the shorter of Canadian citizen doctor’s in canada. ??

Wait if the federal government issues the permits how is it the province fault? These bureaucrats are stealing our country and selling it to foreignors. When are we going to march to Ottawa and demand an election. April 16th? Are we allowed to protest?

Almost a million foreign students allowed in country of 34 M people ! Mind boggling to say the least. Why is this problem happening ? Those who run these schools are like us, human beings, being thirsty for “money” is nothing out of the ordinary ! Getting $10K/yr. for a domestic student + subsidy fr. government of say another $10K, is about a third of a foreign student has to pay. Do the math ! Im a Canadian citizen and I live in Canada for more than 30 years the problem in this country is the government system is not good this is a kind of communist system and it will get worse if the system in Canada is not changed and the thing about having Canadian experience this is a crap and this is a stupidity. People from Canada which they are born there and they have business there they have to allow people and to receive people with their work experience and they shouldn't discriminate other people this is a their mentality and needs to be changed. I am in Europe right now and I was surprised to see the news a few days ago what's happening in this country if the system in Canada is not changed Canada will be a very poor country that's the truth and that's what's going to be happen ?

The UK government is also complicit in supporting of the genocide of Palestinians. However, the people of the country do NOT represent the government, and are speaking out against their governments. There are muslims countries who are also complicit in the genocide, by allowing it. Its not so black and white anywhere.

I am tied to Toronto because of family and friends. But yeah, the cost of housing sucks. Structural I don't think housing will improve for a while. There are too many people wanting to live here for the space available now and in the future. The governments (a Ontario and Toronto) have to change the by laws to get allow single family dwelling neighborhoods to be bull dozed, not to build gigantic condos but multi dwelling space which may be a few stories high.

This is pretty funny. I'm Canadian and my best friend is an economist working for the government on demographic issues full time. Just has an FYI canada has seen its highest immigration rate in the past 50 years last year. I can also see and feel all the immigrants moving in the job market. I'm not so sure why those videos keep being produced. This country is not perfect but it's better than many other places in the world. For example, canada is barely affected by climate change because we already have resilient infrastructure. When it comes to housing it's not so much that the governement does not allow for more building than the fact that it's hard to build affordable homes because the homes in canada require a lot of work due to the nature of the climate. (Has a trained carpenter and GC I know.) It's also very far from all of the world's chaos. All those emerging wars will affect Europe directly but all we get are some small economic backlashes. Anyhow, I've been living here for my whole 31 years of life and I've enjoyed the place and its peace. What I dislike is the cold and the lack of sun. Your own canadian government is like communist state. toronto doctors are allowed to give people an injection to end their life. This way they are no longer a burden to society / government. I have cousin inlaws that live in markham a suburb and they have a house and when I visited them I had to squeeze my car in the driveway to park overnight. You're not allowed to park a car on the street or else you get a ticket? I know of no place that does this in suburb in america. I'm in nYC, been to PA, lived in jersey, nyc, have family in long island etc..

Im 1st generation to Canada in 1952 , garduated from Univ, served in Canadian Army .This country has deteriated due to consecutive governments allowing flow of immigrants, refugees, student visas . Also Liberal Government continuing to destroy our economy, printing beyond our GDP on behest of a globalist agenda in pursuit of world control. Canada has descended to a 3rd world banana republic run by incompetent group of nefarious ministers' hell bent to re invent Canadian culture and through multi culturalism pit all each nationalities against each other.
