In response to the judging of immigrants. Interesting how we rarely see immigrants on our street corners asking for a handout. Instead they're at work making just barely enough to eventually have their own business in a few years. Latinos are a workforce and stimulate the economy because its a lot of hard work to maintain and sustain this country. Who's gonna do all that hard work when they're deported. Maybe our spoiled and privileged teens? All industries will suffer a void in their workforce causing products and service prices to increase. Billionaires like Corporations, Trump and Musk are the reason you are not doing well, not immigrants. Trumpism is fear, hate, blame and shame politics. Immigration has been a thing since a million years ago, and it will always exist. People migrate. Americans use 1,000 times the resources more than immigrants need. Immigrants don't even qualify to for well-fare assistance. When immigrants are gone and the borders are secured, who will be blamed next for America's problems. Instead of focusing on the greater good and progress for all Americans, Republicans can't help themselves to use their power to address their xenophobia, blame, hate without concern of who and what suffers, families of the working class suffer, and our economy, not billionaires. Mass change and reckless actions based on negative emotions and Ego based intentions of one man, is bad for everyone. Negative energy + negative actions amounts and results to nothing but negative consequences and repercussions. Trumpism is no bueno for America. His approach to fixing immigration will hurt and break America.

It is interesting how when immigrants immigrated here they make sure to shut the door behind them!

I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

Obama deported more ppl than Trump did in the first 4 yrs. Obama was nick-named deporter in chief. everything the Dems say is hypocrisy. Saddest part of this is that most of what they’ve been told about immigration is either straight out lies or deeply embellished. If they feel they are making a valuable contribution then why don’t they think new immigrants will? They seem happy to accept the lies about how dangerous their kinfolk are.

High crime, high prices, homeless everywhere, sanctuary city, courts are a revolving door, open use of hardcore drugs in actually encouraged thru drug injection sites,, irresponsibly high immigration…all combine to make Toronto a pretty horrible / dangerous city. While I still own property in Toronto, I spend very little time in the city these days. On the bright side, Trudeau will be gone fairly soon…and Trump and Pierre will work well together.

I like being in a classroom to do IT Support later while my next classroom door is Francization class (that will be cut after this holidays because they spend all their budget because they don't know how much they had allowed from the start to make plans with) when immigrants come to become concierge, that's a new modern slavery wave we're having that bothering me right now. ?

Most immigrants don't want to be undocumented; the problem is the government nowadays makes it incredibly difficult to get a green card. It literally takes like ten years waiting even if one of your parents is already an American citizen. If you're broke, you can't afford to wait.

Why not start a process to make illegal immigrants legal since they are an important part of the workforce?

It won't stop with the illegals. A mass round up and deportation is just phase 1 of Trumps plan. He will go after legal immigrants in phase 2. What maga morons dont understand is that illegals make up a pretty big part of the labor force in America. Mass deportation and the 60% tariff of anything from China (which is 90% of all goods sold in America) and 20% on everything ( food, oil, etc) will crash the economy and send us into a recession. You can't put high tariffs, which the end consumer (us) will end up paying and make things cheaper. It's like all common sense went out the window.

Women and children, and men with their families should be left, they don't even make 10% of the illegal immigrants. Millitary age single men, should be deported by any means necessary...Violent criminals are found amongst them for the most part.

Immigrants, both documented and undocumented, commit crimes at a lower rate than natural-born US citizens. That is a statistically proven fact, and it makes sense considering that if we speed, we could get a ticket. If they speed, they might get deported. That's a fine to pay versus a potential death sentence... most people who immigrate here are trying to escape the very things they get accused of doing. Look, I'm not saying that people coming in illegally is a good thing, that every one of them has good intentions, or that border security is acceptable as it is. I just wish we put this much attention on those at the top of the income chain committing white-collar crime instead of something like this and fix the immigration situation without policies that will flip our already jacked up economy upside down for the sake of votes.

Based on our laws, all criminals, once convicted goes to prison. \n\nIt should have the same standard for ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. once convidcted they should be DEPORTED. \n\nIsnt that make sense?

Don't give illegal immigrants a nickel. Make them apply like our parents and grandparents did.

It's the overshadowing attitude: things were very difficult for me so they should be difficult for you too. This idea is unfortunately prevalent for a sector of our population. If they can’t fire everyone of these people at ICE, they need to banish to a boring powerless position in the basement. Make ICE great again ?? USA. ?? You can’t have ICE ran by a guy who’s going to make it intentionally difficult\n\nAnd yes they shouldn’t get “due process” because if you take away the very weak standards they had to let people in in the first place and pass their court hearing, they shouldnt get past.\n\nDid you know legal immigrations have to pass a physical and they require a whole host of vaccines and even - so far - 2-3 shots of a covid vaccine depending on type. They even require a yearly flu shot! I hope they take that requirement away soon. No one is talks about mandating LEGAL immigrations have to get the covid vaccine. But the point is ILLEGAL immigrants aren’t expected to any of these. \n\nNot to mention that legal immigrants, but presumably not TRUE Asylum seekers, have to pay THOUSANDS of dollars to get a green card. \n\nGee I wonder why so many legal Latino immigrants would be pissed that the had to work so hard and pay so much, and these assholes let millions of the 3rd world in with so little requirements that tens of thousands of violent criminals were let in. So much so that Venezuelan gangs were able to take over multiple apartment blocks and hold the occupants hostage and demand “rent” from them.

Why do some people who go through hardships and overcome them, wish that others suffer too? Why not be a better person and work to make it easier for others? I see it everywhere: people who suffered from shitty bosses get promoted and make others suffer. People who had a hard time immigrating want it to be hard for others as well. Why not be a bigger person?

The Democratic plan was to allow the illegals to vote in city county and state elections to build their base. Even though they can't vote in the presidential elections they have a lot of power at the city county and state level. How many times have you heard all elections are local. Democrats have been doing this for the last 20 years and for the very reason I said what I said. The so-called Trump voters who said they are regretting voting for Trump are crazy. I don't understand why they should be regretting? Everybody knows what Donald Trump's intentions are. For example, the 100% rise on tariffs on imported goods, which Trump had tried during his first term and it backfired. Majority of Americans electorate are not just that rational. They make decisions based on emotions. Trump just kept on invoking emotional mantra like the migrants are invading American, woman is not strong and smart enough to be the president of US, a black woman from black immigrant family are not smart enough to be the president of US - old stereo type that have torment America from slavery. It doesn't take rocket science to understand why Trump played on the emotions of Americans. Trump knows that, that is why he kept repeating those emotional mantra, and not talking about the issues. Trump - bonefide conman - and his advisers understood this very well and used to con Americans to vote for him. Good con-job Donald. Kudos.

we feel its all politics when the government wants they can balance all problems the government suppresses sentiments and vice versa. its a voting strategy and change of government strategy after every 10-15 years. things will get normal interest rates will fall drastically and inflation will be worked upon faster pace. politics is playing with peoples mind and emotions. all these problems are not major problems . immigration is important yo Western economy and they can play with immigration model for 2-3 years the economy have already made profit on immigration feel with selective immigration and a bit on hold they will build housing more. we feel health care system cant be changed until they stop medical association power and control on it. the government cant make only temporary changes they need to take charge of Health care and change the whole system.

I am from Europe. You won't find a single country in EU who will not deport immigrants that do not have legal documents. If they find them they will throw them out of EU and those persons will get 5 years ban for apply legally. They brought millions of illegal immigrants across our borders to make them into a permanent voting bloc dependent on government. They want to “transition” boys into girls and girls into boys even in the face of parental objection. They even want self-identifying boys to enter girls’ locker room and compete in girls’ sports. They want to tax and spend massively on social programs, despite costs and debt rising, so more people are dependent on and thus will vote for them. IT'S A LOGISTICAL PIPE DREAM, money and morals not withstanding:\nThere are about 800,000 law enforcement personnel in the entire U.S. from local to Federal level, incl. FBI, DEA, etc. There is NO way of deporting 11,000,000 people. It takes 4-6 law enforcement officers to make 1 regular felony arrest, more if there is more danger (i.e. SWAT, etc.). One would have to ask every single officer from local to Federal to essentially arrest and deport 12-13 people EACH - and stop doing all other law enforcement work to do that. And here's the other thing: \n\nU.S. citizens do MORE crime per capita than ANY immigrant community, be it legal or illegal. This is conveniently not mentioned by the MAGA and the right. It's just racist bullshit in fake patriotic clothing.

Remain in Mexico applies to arriving aliens applying for asylum, not asylum seekers who have already been admitted. The latter contravenes federal immigration law, and that's something that a President can't do via executive order. As well, if we deport asylum seekers to a different country, or make asylum seekers wait in another country as their asylum cases are adjudicated, the US government is STILL responsible for providing essential resources and ensuring their safety (this includes providing migrant centers) and the US cannot impede on their right to counsel - and by virtue of making them stay in another country that doesn't HAVE US immigration attorneys, this DOES impede their access to legal council, which is an immediate infringement on civil rights and a key reason why Remain in Mexico was challenged up to the Supreme Court and was kept from fully going into effect.

i dropped a long time canadian female at the ottawa Carling ave womens shelter to get away from an abusive husband...to find out she is dealing with violent fighting migrants and immigrants that have filled the place and taken resources from our own homeless people...and all getting welfare no questions asked....and welfare is less than 500 and odsp is 1100 and you have even more of our own people not able to find rooms or apartments and now more people living in the bushes all along the river from billings to downtown near the bike paths...and the local news is saying they are about to bring 2 big tents and bring in migrants to these 2 new centres they are about to pop up making us the new NEW YORK!

I'm an immigrant, and here is my opinion: If something is illegal, then it should be prevented and fixed. If someone breaks the law, there must be consequences. If you don't like it and you want undocumented or illegal immigrants for any reason like economy or humanity, then change the law. But the law should always be abided by and enforced. You make a legal procedure and admit immigrants based on the needs of the country and the applicants' merits. And of course, some percentage for the refugees whose life is in danger.

When we immigrated to Canada we had to pass english exams, health checks and paid a lot of money. We came here and are grateful to be here. We did not come here to demand that our culture and religion be respected. We gave this up. If they can just walk across the border then all those who paid should get there money back.\nWe did not demand any help. We worked our buts off to make it work.
