Some claim to be in one of those top universities but thwir skilss and language accents say otherwise. Some steal white collar jobs that even a mere degree locals had to be a delivery rider.

There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. Interesting. My brother lived in Alaska for 15 years. He was born and raised in this country and he's white. He rode his motorcycle to Alaska from the lower 48 where he had it stored. I live right on the Canadian border to Michigan near Detroit and talking to an agent who goes to my gym, he says they are catching more coming across the Detroit river than ever before. The city I grew up in 1970-80 was 98% white and now 40% is hispanic and growing. Soon very few whites will even border Detroit in the burbs. White males are not getting good blue collar jobs because they’re going to more DEI applicants. Cities that were vibrant with large shopping centers and baseball fields are gone and empty. Kids don’t play outside anymore and the downtown districts are gone.

As a fully disabled Army veteran who was raised by the southern border in New Mexico, who has seen first hand what the cartels are capable of, I have been saying this was going to happen for a long while now. The cartels have already expanded their operations and even the head of the DEA confirmed this, they are in every major US city. They have been growing like this since the first day Biden took office, and Tommy G's interview with one of the coyotes confirmed this months ago. The cartels are exploiting this country's weaknesses in seeing this as a political issue when it's concerns our nation's national security. hey from BC, Canada, and welcome to the farthest and coldest reaches of the North. there are good and bad places in Canada too, though compared to places in the States make it look tamer. i do envy some things in the States like entertainment. i have a friend that lives in Cleveland, Ohio and he went to a Cavaliers game for $20. in Canada, that might get you parking and a ticket to the Raptors was like $130-160 for nosebleed seats. quite a difference. (edit: air travel or telecoms/internet is super expensive since companies here don't like competition and the government is kind of gutless to make a fair price for things like the States does. Canada telecoms say because things are too spread out so things are expensive, but Australia is even more spread out than Canada and they have way cheaper prices of internet and telecoms)

it's not just Brampton, people all over the country say the same. Doesn't feel like Canada anymore but like India. I'm not racist but I feel like I don't belong here and out of place which is very wrong. Canadians from long family tree people here and even of aboriginal descent feel like minority here now. The only people to blame for this is the immigration dept. If they had proper rules in place then only proper educated and decent people would've come there instead of many people with criminal or rowdy background who even falsify there IELTS score. As someone said in comments that most of the people in Canada especially Brampton are from small villages in Punjab who have barely seen n lived in big cities in India itself. And it's true everyone in India knows that Brampton is mini Punjab, Punjab with cold weather. I have many friends who have gone to Canada and some of them were living in Brampton also for some time, but everyone left, they all say that Brampton is just a rowdy place and does not seem like you are in a developed country coz of the ruckus the Punjabi people make their and most of the educated people going from India to Canada wants to avoid Brampton.

You can't say Montreal is typical for Canada though. It's always voted among the best major cities to live in. Also, some people can't take the cold. So, even if they moved to Montreal, they might find it a little harsher than expected, in winter months. There's indeed a tolerance of crime vs cold graph people have to consider, when deciding where to live. More people permanently move from Canada to the US, than the other way around. I suspect the weather is the biggest reason.

I am an Indian student in Canada and I can say that the government here is very corrupt. You will rarely find student over here who came here to study. Many students can't even communicate in English. It is not safe place for Hindus. The main reason of racism over here our community doesn't want to adopt their culture and not follow the rules. Canadian government brought many below average students here and that is the main reason for unemployment.

I was just saying to a friend recently Indians have degraded the standards of everything, including the banks, the food industry, and everything they can put their hands on. Cibc and Scotiabank used to be open on the weekends now you can't even go there to do businesses all becuase they have degraded the standards of the banks ihop food is way below standards the only things they are doing right is building decent houses. No customer service in canada, most services are closed on weekends they don’t care even if ur dying.. India see seekh loo customer service. Plus education is worse they charge high fees but professors are worst they higher anyone that fits their budget not on merit. People occupy positions from graduation until they retire so no scope of growth or upskilling and they get threatened by highly qualified and ambitious Indians who come from fast paced environments. Talk about car prices and insurance prices one of the highest in the world, plus police do nothing to stop the car theft instead say give the keys to the thief.. lol seriously canada is a joke. Expats just come here to pay higher taxes that support they older population ?

The new students who came in May intake haven't got the jobs yet that too in an area where population is relatively smaller, jobs chances are better etc. They have been applying for whole more than 2 months straight almost every day..and still no luck. Homelessness, drug problem is actually a real problem here. Pollution, greenery, electricity, water etc. k mamle mein I would say it's pretty okay unlike India jahan boht mushkil ho jata he. But I thini yahan or bhi bura haal hone wala he. O would prefer India all day every day. Well.. I'm still waiting for my studies to be completed...jikska ghanta koi fayda hone wala he..but .. so many people like me are in this dilema of going back vs staying here even after wanting so badly to go back to India. Decision is yours.. you'll have to deal with whatever you chose and no one else. Be bold..take the right decision

The government and some people end up actually do stating that it's not the immigrants fault about what's been going on that is entirely untrue because it's technically the immigrants fault for taking our homes kicking us out of the house basically not even going by our rules and our laws to actually get us out of the houses properly and basically they can take our jobs can Canadian citizens out of their jobs just to put their own people into those jobs and making sure that no Canadian can actually have a job anymore except unless if you are their kind like they take our jobs they take our homes so far they have taken about I would say a quarter of our country button all of reality when the government and some other people say that it's not the these immigrants fault for what is going on in reality they're just as much as a fault than the actual government is because the government allowed them to take our jobs our homes and when Justin Trudeau says that he's going to be building other places for basically thousands of people can actually have jobs for Canadian people to have jobs he's not talking about the original Canadians he's talking about the Immigrant Canadians so when you thinking that he's talking about you for you getting your jobs and having a job again no he's not talking about you he's talking about giving more jobs to the immigrants same thing when they basically saying oh yes we're going to build more houses we're going to build affordable living areas know they're not talking about for Canadians like the original Canadians or the indigenous Canadians they're talking for the Immigrant Canadians they're not building homes or jobs for indigenous or Canadian original Canadians their building jobs and homes for immigrants 2 are government they don't even care about the indigenous or the original Canadians they only care about the Immigrant Canadians because that's what I've noticed every single time they said that they're going to build a new Factory here or a new assembly plant there or new homes over here basically every single time they have finished with it all they do is they shove more immigrants into those places maybe a few Canadians will end up getting in just to make it look like they're not discriminating but you'll see that there's more immigrants into those locations than there are of actual indigenous or original Canadians like our country has gone down the crapper see I never used to care about the immigrants and everything else until Justin Trudeau did what he did with flooding our country entirely with just immigrants and the immigrants treating us like garbage

All the points mentioned in this video are 100% true. I live in Vancouver, and I'm an international student I really wish I knew the truth about this country before. There is no proper education, too. Everything is self-study and assignments with no campus placements. You won't get good professors in your universities because they are overbooked for the semester, and then you are left with no option but to settle for whoever you get. There's also a lot of exploitation by the desi employers who think they are the king of the world you have to do everything they say so that you don't be jobless all your work experience from India does not count here which means you won't get a decent job and even an intern requires experience of 2-3 years with base pay. The only suggestion I would like to give to the people who are planning to come here is to THINK AGAIN, do your research AGAIN. We cannot undo our years lost, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TIME.

The problem is with how immigration is set up. The general population is ok with immigration as long as most people coming in adapt at least somewhat to Canadian culture while integrating their own.\n\nI'd say thats what Trudeau had/has in mind cause thats what Montreal is like. \nBut its like that cause the Quebec government focuses on secularism & French Nationality which creates a sort of blended dynamic that's still uniquely Quebecois.\n\nThat doesnt work so well in other Provinces.\n\nAlternately, the goverment may be trying to turn Canada into a true melting pot, which would create a different Canadian culture and identity than we currently have. \n\nHowever, that only works out when you bring in an equal # of people from different Countries wnd ethnicities.\n\nWhat we have right now is a system that seems to bring a certain percentage of immigrants per Country. Using that math, India and China will always send out more people as they're the most populous and crowded. Hence why Eastern Canada has a lot of Indian immigrants and Western has a lot of Chinese.\n\nThe government will need to get a handle on it and at least even it out if not also slow the flow, lest we risk a rise in xenophobia/isolationism and racism which has already started to make the rounds.

I am watching this video from Canada and I have 4 words for you - “DO NOT COME HERE!!!” Everything that was mentioned in the video is absolutely true. Canada is facing many problems, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare systems, homeless people, drugs. I am always scared to walk in downtown at night when I’m returning from work. And the worst part is, you cannot even defend yourself here if a homeless person is attacking you. If you do that you will be prosecuted saying that why did you touch that homeless guy and it is a violation of human rights, which is stupid. So does that mean that we should just let a random homeless person kill us?? How does that make sense?? My friend who was having an asthma attack had to sit in the emergency room for 8 hours. If something would have happened, who would be responsible? And the list just goes on. And what does the Canadian prime minister do about that….? Let a guy be a girl and a girls become a guy? What does that even mean??? I have nothing against the LGBTQ people. That’s your life do whatever you want, I don’t care. But there are so many other issues going on in the country and the government is focusing on allowing people to change their genders !! \nAnd the worst part is that a portion of the tax we pay from our hard earned money goes to the homeless people. And what do they do? Buy drugs and start attacking random people. I really feel sorry for this country and the people of this country. \nI always respected my county, India but now I really feel that the sense of security, belongingness, our culture is amazing !!! \nIf anyone is planning to come to Canada for studies, please think again. And if you have already booked your flight, all the best….its going to be extremely tough.

Cons- im earning 1778$ biweekly and i get 1415 only in bank account. 20.50% High tax\n\n2. If you are sick, you need to go to medical clinic where you will wait hours , then docter will ask you for eg blood test, for that you will book appointment with life-lab , they will give you appointment after 5 days, after appointment, your results will will be sent to the doctor and then after you need to make another appointment with doctor to discuss results. The fever treatment takes about 15 days to know the cause ??\n\nPay 3X more fees than domestic students\n\nIf somebody stealing from your store police will come late like 2/3 hours than in case they are able to catch the person they will release them. You cant stop them from stealing \n\n4. If you are doing self defence, you can only hit them in the same amount he hit you, if 1% you hit more like slapped two time where the homeless/drugee slapped only one time, you will be charged with criminal case. \n\n4. Toronto police is saying you must leave your car keys in front of your door so thief can easily steal.\n\n5. If you call ambulance they will charge you 150$ even in emergency

Any urbanist would tell you Canada is just a sprawled and poor transportation as America . It’s just Canada has a population smaller than CALIFORNIA for the whole damn country. The big five cities have transit no better than say DC Metro at best. Definitely not NYC esque. It just looks better because it’s only 10 cities worth a damn in all of Canada to live in. But Montreal (2nd biggest Canada city) vs LA? Not even close. Toronto is like DC Or Chicago transit wise . It’s great - for North America . All North America outside NY, DC, T Dot , Montreal, Chicago, and the Bay Area and maybe Vancouver and Boston/Philly have awful transit. It’s a NORTH AMERICAN issue. Nova Scotia Transit is shit. Same with most of the other non Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta cites and of Course greater Vancouver- the rest of Canada is Colombus Ohio- who the fuck cares
