Doing it the right way means needing a beneficiary or money. You don’t get a green card for a job. You need to be married or have money and buy one. It’s super expensive. Instead of kicking them out they should be given work or student visas until they earn their place here. But kicking them out helps no one really. This lady is super privileged. She probably came here with someone who acted as the beneficiary. Now she thinks it’s her country. She didn’t even grow up her. It’s not her country. She’s an immigrant. She’s Mexican American. Beeing a ex undocument imigrant from US, i desagree with the former director. You dont need to Chase down ilegals, you just have to shutdown their Bank accounts , requesting agencies to ask for proof of social securty number and and apply huge fines over companies that hire ilegals. Gradually, they wont be able to stay and leave. I am not saying i am in favor of mass deportation. I think there is a better way to fix the system and absorv their work force in to segments that demands their labor, but to deport them its not that complicated.

We don't need these people the American people can work and the American people can do agriculture obviously not for under wages like the illegal immigrants

First Trump's administration is going to be jacked up with little known outliers with controversial and radical ideas. That is what Trump is attracted to. His ideas of tariffs and mass deportations are deplorable. They both disadvantage the US instead making it better. However, the tariffs may as well be a scam to get companies profits as when Trump says 10% on item A, companies are going to raise the cost of item A 12 to 15% or so and blame the cost increase on tariffs. For deportation's, I hope most people realize that many working the fields as low wage labor are very well illegals, but they are hired because they keep food costs low. Raising all prices for the poor Republicans will not be beneficial because prices on goods can increase 15% or more but their employer is certainly not going give them a 15% raise to match the cost of living. So Trump has already made the business environment good for more profits by planning to make life more expensive for everyone so business can absorb the additional profits. Probusiness politicians help businesses make money and that money comes from households and the government. And making the government spend more means the government needs to tax more. But TRump is cutting taxes for the people that have the most money. And Trump raising prices with tariffs justs makes households poorer and business richer. Naturally, the stock market will record highs when all the indicators are that business will be making much greater profits from households when Trump takes office.

Did... he just say that there are some 12 million illegal or otherwise undocumented people in this country but that they've never committed a crime here? Was he even listening to himself? Where does this dis-connect come from? As bad as Trump is, and I hoped he would not win last week, this is the 1 single thing that I agree has got to be done: If you are in this country illegally, you need to be deported no excuses no anchor-babies no nothing! You do not get to just waltz into my house sack out on my sofa decide you like living in my house and get to stay, that's not how this works! ps. I was not far from where the Mexican National Mass Shooter killed 5 of his neighbors here in Texas last year, he was previously deported 4 times and had come right back again, his wife was here illegally his best friend who tried to hide him from authorities was here illegally and 4 out of 5 of his victims were ALSO here illegally and you just cannot make this stuff up people! Why would any skilled work want to move to Germany when they refuse to speak English with foreigners? English speakers (of all nationalities) can move to many other countries where this is not a problem. The Netherlands for example have no problem speaking English. For Germany, they need an attitude adjustment.

You are either in the U.S. legally or illegally and if illegally then you need to leave or be removed. There are of course legally authorized exceptions, like for work so Democrats need to stop with the nobody to work in the fields BS. It's anybody's guess as to why Democrats insist on breaking immigration laws by harboring illegal immigrants and by not cooperating with ICE, but at least now they know part of the reason why Trump won the election and why Republicans will control the House and the Senate. Maybe we could do this. For every illegal immigrant the Democrats let in, send a Democrat back to their country. This way it will all even out.

Secure the border? Yes. Prioritize deporting those who have committed crimes? Yes. But remember that the American economy relies heavily on foreign labour so the process of dealing with illegal immigrants needs to include dramatically increasing the number of immigration officials to get the productive, employed illegals some kind of legal status. The import tariffs are going to cause inflation. Taking away productive workers will further inflate prices.\n\nThen, of course, there’s the illegal immigrants who are entrepreneurs like Elon Musk. Washington Post reports, and Elon’s brother confirmed, that they entered the US illegally although they do now have legal status in the US. Elon had a student visa to do graduate studies at Stanford but he never signed up for a single course. Instead he created a startup. So he didn’t comply with his student visa and he was working illegally. Quite the hypocrite. Should Elon Musk be deported for his illegal entry back in the 1990s? There’s no evidence he committed any other crimes so perhaps not. But if not, then just treat all the illegals with the same consideration.

Everyone says we need a stop to qll immigration, my question is why is our government not doing what the people they work for want? The insanity of even suggesting that any immigration is ok when rent is like 2k a month for a small one bedroom apartment is something else.

After deporting the criminals, why not offer those, especially in the workforce, work permits that can some how over time lead to proper citizenship and also maybe some kind of penalty fee for entering illegally. We need the workforce and additional tax base instead of some giant expense of a physical wall. Instead of spending on a physical wall, spend on more people to officially deal with the entering of migrants to reduce the illegal entries and potential criminals.

First this would be very costly. It takes money away from citizens that could use the monetary application like the homeless. Next, working illegals pay into social security that they will never use. How will those funds be replaced? And finally, many illegals are well known to be cheap labor for farmers and AG related businesses. Removing them drives up food costs because US citizens will need higher wages or US citizens will not work those jobs and create food shortages. I would recommend people stop voting for cult of personalities non thinkers who talk loud and constantly but apply little effort to thinking about solving issues.

It's time to get LEGAL AND PAY TAXES ALSO OR LEAVE. They are GIVING billions of taxpayers dollars to illegals who come here and strain our systems while AMERICANS ARE LOSING OUT. We need our manufacturing back in our own countries. And our own farmers can handle our food. Our farmers are under fire. They need our support. Anyone has an accurate estimate of how many illegal workers work in American farm? How many with work visa? And how many you really need?

Undocumented workers paid 96 billion dollars into Social Security and Medicare through the INT. They are not eligible to collect from those programs but there work help sustains them. They do work Americans do not want to do. Hotels hire them, farmers hire them, meat packing plants hire them, construction companies hire them. Removing them will be a disaster. Banks says the American people have spoken for it, I didn't. Only 51 percent of uneducated voters for Trump wanted it. We Democrats understand they are needed here. Republicans in the red state on Welfare won't go to work and do the jobs immigrants do. What will happen is Trump will cut the taxes for the rich, raise our taxes and do away with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and other needed social programs like CHIP, Meals on Wheels, School lunch programs etc... America will suffer and end up losing our allies and pulled out of the NATO agreement, which Russia wants us to do. Trump is friends with our enemies. He is a traitor to America and proved it when he stole top secret documents and refused to return them and showed them to people who had no clearance to do so. Dumb Americans voted him in after every warning from generals and all his staff to his own VP said he is not fit to sit in the oval office. Now all of America and our Allies will pay the price.

This woman is right. We need people who are willing to sacrifice their time and their old citizenship to become Americans. She sacrificed a great deal to become a true American citizen. I do not want to be a citizen of another country although I have spent time as a guest worker LEGALLYin other countries. I was not allowed to take jobs in those countries (Japan and Germany) that native workers had the right to take. I was not given benefits or a right to vote. I had a passport which I was required to carry at all times because as a foreign worker I could be stopped and questioned about my legal status. My passport showed my working status in country with the appropriate stamp. I accepted these restrictions as part of my working conditions. I wanted to keep my own citizenship as an American although I could have worked to obtain the fluency level required and the citizenship understanding of law and legal procedures to become a citizen. It would have taken time and waiting for an application to clear. That is what it would have required but I wanted to be an American. I did not renounce my citizenship lightly…nor should anyone without work and thoughtful consideration of what it is to BE a member of that country.

What about the immigrants that have been working and contributing and trying to get citizenship for decades and the spouses of American citizens still fighting for their right after paying taxes for many years - are we raiding all families homes and splitting up kids from parents? Did we ever find the families for the 800+ kids that had no details taken still unable to contact families that trump split them from the first time? Or does that not matter cause it’s not YOUR kids? Huh. When they come and create the detention camps and ship people back to places they haven’t been in decades who cares right they have been paying American taxes and have no rights while their years of waiting for their citizenship - fix that maybe so those who are working, contributing can stay and work in the jobs they have and keep families together. we feel its all politics when the government wants they can balance all problems the government suppresses sentiments and vice versa. its a voting strategy and change of government strategy after every 10-15 years. things will get normal interest rates will fall drastically and inflation will be worked upon faster pace. politics is playing with peoples mind and emotions. all these problems are not major problems . immigration is important yo Western economy and they can play with immigration model for 2-3 years the economy have already made profit on immigration feel with selective immigration and a bit on hold they will build housing more. we feel health care system cant be changed until they stop medical association power and control on it. the government cant make only temporary changes they need to take charge of Health care and change the whole system.

This is idiotic, Undocumented Immigrants paid $96 million in taxes in 2022. 50% of our agriculture workers are undocumented immigrants. Who is going to replace that workforce? Something needs to be done but this is not it. They have no plan to collect and hold the immigrants. Local Police and Sheriff departments are not equipped to nor allowed to (in some states)go chase illegals. Similar bills have been attempted before as an effort to have Police arrest illegals but it was messy and got put on hold for several reasons. No discussion of potential civil rights violations or the question of it being unconstitutional also opens the door for racial profiling. Any person of color would targeted. Most of the immigrants are not from Mexico why would any country accept them? This is the dumbest plan for immigration ever and it won't work.

This is cruel and beyond that it's economically idiotic. Just wait until your grocery prices go through the roof. Farmers CANNOT find Americans to pick tomatoes, watermelons, etc. etc. American citizens just simply won't do the work.There are countless other industries that use undocumented workers. We are headed for a higher inflation again if this is implemented. How about immigration reform instead? How about work permits? How about paths to citizenship? We need the workers. Our legislators should do their job and come up with immigration reform rather than spend billions rounding up people and hamstringing our economy in the process. Time for us to do the same. UK has been doing deportation. Other European countries have been doing it. It's time to stop the issues surrounding national security and defence. Part of National defense is defending it's boarders. Trump is finally going to be a firm president that will defend his boarders. We don't have to fear this. We need to follow suit and do the same. Now once you get off the plane, you are at least over $40.000 in debt. Your education cost double, housing is limited and expensive along with the hi cost of food and fuel for that expensive used car. Then you find out that you’ve been lied too by the brokers that got you here. And soon as you get your landed status, you get hit with the taxes! And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! The government gives you a birth certificate, but they own your children until you go to a court of law to get a certificate of custody! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! You need to look it up for yourselves and understand that any western country that you goto is ruled by Rome. And if you came from a country that was once a colony of the British empire, you will get here a little easier, it’s a simple transfer because they have your record on file in the city of London. I'm sure that if Trump puts someone in charge of Government Efficiency, there will be numerous amounts of money that can be reallocated, to fund a big chunk of this, there is an abundance of wasteful spending and redundancy in Government, that can and should be trimmed. Government needs to work within a budget, and do the things it is required to Constitutionally, and nothing more, and that will free up alot of money. Just as all of us as families or businesses, we have to operate within a budget, and prioritize, and our Government should be held to the same standard, especially when it's our money, that we are entrusting them with, to do their required job.
