An american living in Germany. The Canadians were (and are) my neighbors. I grew up in Maine, and no one one should piss off Canadians, it can only go bad. But EXACTLY that is what trump wants, that everything goes bad. It is not only going bad, everything is going to shit, my fellow americans are too stupid to notice or care. This is gonna really backfire for the usa, either Civil War, or WW3, trump wants nothing less.

It’s most of the world, and sensible Americans who employ common sense and logic vs tRump and his neofascist agenda. In professional wrestling terms, the U.S. has turned “heel,” but the now occupant of the White House, who should’ve never returned, always has been one. I don’t understand his appeal, and why so many Americans have been sucked into his orbit.\nI don’t want this, many tRump voters don’t want this. This’ll adversely affect the world, and will do nothing to reduce the nearly $2 trillion deficit. tRump’s tax cuts for the wealthy, and fElon Musk’s austerity measures will, and already are raising unemployment, and will further increase the divide between the wealthiest and most marginalized among us.\nThe U.S. siding with Russia, the two countries having the biggest nuclear stockpiles, is a threat to the world.\nIf WW3 starts, it won’t be because Zelenskyy won’t act to end a war in which his country was unnecessarily invaded, it’ll be because of Russia’s invasion of it, and the U.S. turning its back on its now former allies.\nThose of us in the states who oppose tRump and his alliance with Putin need to continue to stand up, speak out, and perhaps even do more. We’ve never seen anything like this before. Hate to say it, but this could very well be the beginning of the end of what was once a great nation. I’ll end this with a quote from FDR.\n“The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.”

Most American's never wanted this, just the idiots who voted for him....hit the red states first

Let us speak directly right back at you Canadians, both yr government and ppl, we don;t want this either, we Americans don't back TRUMP AT ALL. We are ashamed and we are embarrassed by everything DT does. We appreciate Canada, always have. Everything he does is in his interest, not ours, not yours, only his. As a Canadian, here's my biggest concern. The whole border thing was nothing more than a ruse. Trump has cozied up to Putin ... basically, he's Putin's poodle. He's tossed Ukraine to the wolves. (Though, I think Europe and Canada will increase their efforts to help Ukraine.) My fear is Trump will find some way to justify sending American troops into Canada to simply seize the resources he wants but is unwilling to trade for.

The united states of America always want weakened greatest country in the world . The Americans must think smartly this type action is the same as ?action?

It’s remarkable how a very small group of individuals gets to speak for the entire country. I feel like the overwhelming majority of Americans support Canada and want to keep relations healthy and strong.\n\nHow much blood has been shed over the egos of a few? We are pawns in their game. The People stand together!

It’s a sad times our government are only worried about themselves . They are able to ruin the country and do all of these because the United states is filled with hatred .The people of the United States somehow think that Our president working closely with our enemy ( Russia ) Is some type of alliance with working towards segregation toward other Americans they feel are less superior to other Americans . This guy is still trapped in the 80's. Soooo this genius wants companies to 'make stuff in the US and there will be no tariffs' and expects a company to pay someone in the US 20 or 30 dollars an hour, for an 8 hour day... instead of going overseas where a company can pay a dollar a day, for a 12 hour day, to make the same product. (Do Americans want to pay 200 dollars for a shirt, made in America, or do they want to pay 40 dollars for the same shirt made overseas. The 'new normal' does not include companies in the US trying to compete with an endless supply of VERY cheap labour overseas, and the sooner this out of touch baby boomer faces reality, the better.)

We all know it was never about DRUGS and Illegal immigrants anyone with a brain should know it was always about the MONEY, ITS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY. Trump should of just told them honestly, no more FREE period instead of making these countries put resources at the border. Trump play a game to get 2 for 1 by making them secure the borders and making them pay tariffs all at the cost of the American people if Americans do stuffer. Trump states he wants to make American great again, he seems to forget that he needs friends and allies to make American great again, he seems to be on a path of alienating America.
