Good decision by indian government. Please make this rule for indian citizens as well who are living abroad. If they want to enter india, ask them to fill a form to respect the sovereignty and law of india. If someone wants to fight for separation do it from inside. Canada often denies visas even to retired members of Indian security services but never denies visas to veterans of Western countries which have a mile long documented record of human right abuses in foreign countries in Asia and Africa. Canada gives visas to criminals and gangsters from India, even citizenship! I'm a French Canadian and I love India and Indians. I'm learning Hindi and Punjabi, love the food, language, and music. It's just that Canada needs to denounce Khalistan! I want to clarify some things here. MOST people in India do not support a separate state like Khalistan, it's implausible as they would need their own currency and military... It would be as if you asked an average Quebecer if they wanted to separate. There is only ONE India and ONE Canada which includes Quebec! Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. Let's get real here, these international students do not contribute significantly at all to Canada's economy. They are a drain on food banks that locals need for survival. They are a drain on our economy because 90% of them are sending most of their paycheques back to family in India. They are taking jobs away from young Canadians trying to enter the job market while Canada's unemployment rate is high right across the country. The schools mostly are fraudulent diploma mills that are not providing any real world job skills that are useful to Canada or Canadians and 90% of Indian international students who enroll in these colleges do not even attend. They come only to work for dollars and send money back to India. Meanwhile the cost of living is extremely high due to the housing shortage caused by excessive Indian International students. It should be very clear now, Canada and Canadians want all these Indians to leave Canada and return to India as stated in the temporary resident visa. If not they will be cut off and deported also incurring a 5 to 10 year ban from Canada.

Well, categorizing Indians negatively unfortunately impacts South Indian's as well, who are in general law complying, respectful and well behaved. I do not want to divide Indians, but let's accept the fact that most of the problems created in Canada or many other countries, are in general people coming from North India. I urge people from North India to be more respectful, adaptable and complying, as it causes general bad impression for all.

As an Indian living in India it disgusts me that my countrymen act as if India is heaven and then want to go to the west 'illegally'. These fools (mostly the dredge of society) sell their farms or take massive loans to spend 'crazy' amounts of money to do this. They can't even speak English properly, nor are they compatible with western culture, so if they're successful in making it across they end up in low paying menial jobs or just homeless.
