This story is misleading and the Title is completely false. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

The headline is wrong. These people they interviewed are not permanent residents. Therefore they can’t apply for citizenships. They interviewed these Indians who were international students. Who come here misrepresenting themselves in their visa applications. Pretending to be students but come here to work and stay. Canadian government put stricter rules on them to crack down on bogus immigration consultancy and colleges that exploit these students. This news segment is not 100 percent clear. It is true there are pr or naturalized citizens of Canada that leave the country to move back to their home country or move to another country but not all are Indians.

I will tell you all something funny, Canada made me a citizen in just two weeks. This happened in Sept of 1987, and it was done via the Canadian citizenship centre in Mississauga Ontario. I had an interview with the judge, who was from Pakistan (that is not a lie), then I was sworn in as a Canadian citizen in the chamber and a government employee as a witness. This is a true story, and how things are done in Canada. Well....for white people like me at least. ?

The problem is immigration policy and housing policy were treated as separate. Yes, I know, how is this possible? Easy, incompetence. The government's answer, move the Minister of Immigration and make him Minister of Housing. This is akin to inviting the arsonist who was responsible for the fire to put it out. By the way, listening to this pompous windbag is worth the amusement. In one interview he stated the obvious, how immigration was a problem for housing, something that escaped powers of observation when he was Minister of Immigration.

This is such a badly researched report from BBC. The title of the video talks about citizenship applications dropping but they provide no data to back it up even if it's true. Then they only go to Punjab and talk to a student who left Canada before they became a PR. So that's irrelevant to the story. Then a chunk of the report is about the international student cap which in no way reduces current citizenship applications. The report should only concentrate on PRs leaving the country or choosing to not apply for citizenship. They only had one example of that in the whole video. Also interview PRs from other places other than Punjab. The story might be the same but it's good to know.

This is so stupid. There are many people like myself that immigrated to this country and was able to contribute to the economy immensely after graduation. Nothing gets handed to anyone in any country. I don't get this campaign to paint all immigrant students as incompetent, naive, lazy people. You should also interview the students that came to Canada are doing very well. But i do agree that these fraud schools need to be shut down.

Im watching 2nd interview of this businessman, but the in this the interviewer asks in detail without letting the delink to happen in questioning. \nAs far as I remember from his other video, he reads Osho a lot, I guess.

The testing and background checks for these international students need to be more thorough. \nWhen I was in university (publicly funded) four years ago doing a group project there was a guy that couldn’t write a whole sentence with proper grammar. So he didn’t do anything and we had to reflect that on the peer evaluation. Then he begged the professor to not write him up because his family had to sell lands back home to bring him here.\nThere is no way that someone could get into a Canadian university passing all the interviews and examinations without being able to speak and write with proper grammar. So he had to have cheated during the process. They are affecting the experiences of other students by not participating in group projects, and talking loudly during lectures.

This person seems to be very stupid enough to do this interview and trying to whitewash his social media image.

The way his expressions changed when he realised what the interviewer was trying to do here when she mentioned the word refugee. Very impressive how he explicitly explained what he believes and what is correct

Canada is becoming more like India. Too many Indians are bringing in their fake education credentials to get jobs. I recently interviewed a so-called engineer and I figured that everything was bogus. Indians can destroy any well-functioning system.

Palestinians shouldn't have to be refugees. That plays into Israel's goal of forcing Palestinians from their place on Earth. Many Israelis being interviewed have said the issue can be resolved if neighboring states absorb all the Palestinians. Israel needs to change its ways regarding Palestinians.

I've seen some mischievous interviewers ask if Islam is so great why come here and not stay in Islamic countries. Now see Muslims packing up to go and look for an Islamic environment to live peacefully in. I wish you peace of mind in your search and new destination. Can I suggest Turkey or Singapore.

I temember a documentary in the 90s interviewing residents in gaza and palestine in general , most claimed they moved there from surrounding countries due to fear of the regimes and the threat of arrest or worse for their conduct , most residents are not indigenous, 2nd generation settlers , other arab countries view it as a sanctuary for lawbreakers , they dont want them back , even the best known palestine spokesman , yassar arafat was an egyptian

Absolutely on point. What the Arab world can do though is Demand sanctions on Israel and call out Israel’s brutality and call out the United States. They are still tiptoeing. Every time I watch United Nations interviews. The Arab world is too afraid to call out the United States for this type of genocidal support, and it’s not just the Arab world. Forget about immigrants, at least they can go back to their countries and jobs. It is not the costs only, it's the culture, the business how it is run in Canada. What about Canadian borns and Canadian educated?. A software developer, born and raised in Canada and for a year and half can't find a single job, not even an entry level with minimum pay or p/to. Not even a chance to call on one phone interview With lost hopes, seeking a job in Europe!. A young proud Canadian, who loved his country more than anything. \nImmigrants, run away or don't come, as really there is no job in Canada. Posting that you see, are sitting for years some of them and just rejecting candidates without hiring anyone.

Jobs that could pay enough for me to afford housing, transportation, and food, as well as student loan payments, simply were not available to me. I moved to Beijing and stayed there for 9 years before moving to Malaysia earlier this year. I'm never going to live in Canada again.\n\nEven if my opportunities in Canada improved, the lifestyle I could afford there will always be worse than what I'd have somewhere else.
