imagine calling someone immigrant or indian student, or tourist. Who are real Canadians? Who are real Americans? Who are the real people of the world? Can we all be a citizen of the world.

As a Indian who is now Canadian, no one is banning. We just have too many unskilled immigrants that are a burden on our tax money. Plus, these people are freeloaders and commit crimes. Before COVID, the immigrants were predominantly high skilled. Now we have hoards of low skilled immigrants.

Let me tell you something... Immigrants in Canada are as much, if not more, racist than Canadians. You're not fooling anyone. Racism works both ways, don't kid yourself.

We as Canadians don’t owe anything to any foreign worker, they all want permanent residency at Canadians expense, now I have 100 percent proof that a brand new subsidy apartment which was built as a seniors building is housing 5 Indian FW in a 1 bedroom apartment, this type of government will be our downfall, working at the circle K mart is not a job for a international foreign policy immigration person

Look at the root cause of these problems. It is the colleges making money off these student immigrants, it is the corporate who do not want to pay decent living wages to Canadians so they are hiring these students at a minimum wages jobs. Let face it it this is capitalism at works where the corporate has to save as much money as possible for share holders. So yes immigration is a huge problems but immigrant alone are not at fault. Fault lies with the government (federal, provincial and municipal) and the corporate entities in Canada as well.

India is a big nation with with diverse peope. The Indians in Canada are Punjabis. So blame Punjabis not ALL Indians. Also the issue with Punjabis in Canada is immigration fraud and exploiting poor Punjabis young people who came for a better life. Also many of the low paying jobs are getting taken over by Punjabis as part of immigration fraud and people are getting angry because other canadians feel discriminated. The truth is that it is not a racism but it is part of the immigration fraud and exploitation of these young Punjabis that their parents spent tons of money to come to canada. Let give you an example, Punjabi managers at lets say company X will hire and sign his/her work permit visa and make them pay $30K as a bribe. \nThese practices harm both Canadians and Punjabi young people who came for a better life. \nIn conclusion, let's not blame ALL punjabis and blame the Canadian government for allowing the crisis to develop.\nBtw, i am not an Indian but i just wanted to give a fair comment. \nTake care

The changes are returning to 1990 levels. When immigration was CONTROLLED. Canadians cannot continue to constantly be overwhelmingly WELCOMING when it means DESTROYING our own limited Social Services, Hospitals, Rentals, Etc. We have our own Citizens in Tents, our own Seniors not receiving the Cash they NEED to live WELL. Your Immigration was temporary for temporary immigration. Canada needs to stop any and all Indian immigrants and temporary students from coming into Canada. The ones that have come over the last 5 years have done nothing but disrespect Canada and done nothing to integrate into Canadian culture.

Another reason why many non immigrant Canadians are leaving the big cities, and moving far from them to smaller no invaded towns through out Canada where they can also find community with people they recognize. All humans a similar and want to be with and around those we recognize, we can tolerate a small amount that's ok just not hundreds of thousands or millions of people we have no familiarity with.

Similar has happened to Surrey/North Delta British Columbia of the 400,000 residents living here,179,000 are from India. I remember years ago when Brampton was a small quaint town back in the 1970s this India didn't exist. Generally this happens when years ago real estate was cheap all the Indians moved in to the cheaper part of the community then slowly took over, and invaded the community. Same happened in 1995 in Richmond BC when Hong Kong leases expired with China. This once beautiful community was completely invaded.\n\nSo much for immigrants who immigrate to Canada that do not understand how Canada works and frankly don't care, There is no education program to help integrate such people to be multicultural , unfortunately this happened with the old Europeans as well as little Italy, and other areas where other European took over little areas of Toronto. \n\nHowever I think Brampton, and Surrey/North Delta/Richmond BC. Is far far worse and much more invaded by people not wanting to truly integrate in Canadian society. It's blantantly in your face and when and event happens india or any other countries of such immigrants are coming from they amsss huge protests to bring it to the media as if Canada is responsible for that. Canada isn't responsible for crap going in other countries and we should no be financially supporting any of it so just ignore these people because they frankly don't care about Canada if they did they'd learn about Canada and be more adaptable instead of pointing fingers and calling the locals in the community they invaded racist. \n\nSimilar things are happening in the Canadian workplace few immigrants who are fully bilingual won't speak English they completely shun English speaking people working there. It's disturbing that their are double standards for immigration unfortunately Canada has no plan or formula to fixing this other than finger pointing by calling everyone racist that are not like this. Insane.\n\nAlso we here that people from India are so poor what a load of crap every one living in these areas are living well above every one else in this country so no Indians are poor they live in oversized homes and numerous high end vehicles how can a poor person from a 3rd world society afford such luxuries in this country?

As a Canadian who was born here and the son of immigrants. I can say to you that the problem is with the Canadian government. It has lead to indians being taken advantage of by unsavoury people. And the situation is contributing to the housing crisis here in Canada although it's. not the only cause. The vast majority of Canadians do not blame the people coming here. We would take advantage of the opportunity to come here too if we were in the indian immigrants shoes as well. Keep in mind this is a country of immigrants. The vast majority of people came here or are descendent of people who came from somewhere else.

NDP-Liberal government does not care. They have an immigration mandate. This country will reach 100 million people ASAP regardless of what happens to the Canadians that existed before this mandate was forced on us.

So same as the student immigration issues in Canada. Indians scamming Indians then blaming Canadians.

Im living since 2016 in Canada. Im dump truck driver, i hate your government, im iranian Cristian, i don't know why immigration office just using foreign people like me??? I don't know why immigration doesn't give me a PR card ???? But someone from Ukraine get a PR card ??? Very easy?? Essentially because Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada didn't care who they let into the country and flooded it with anyone from violence--ridden countries who could make it to our borders. Thus while no doubt getting some worthwhile immigrants plenty of people who were troublesome in their own country were now gifted to Canada. This resulted in increased crime and violence at the same time the Liberal Party of Canada moved to disarm Legacy Canadians and to reduce punishments for criminal behaviour. Pretty much the same as in not so jolly old England although we haven't reached English levels of daily violence.

There are more indians to blame.. remember there are lot of indians in canadian govt, immigration consultancies, companies and real estate who are all colluding together to influence govt to fool the whole canadian setup from top to bottom to bring in as many indians they can.\nWhy do they do it in any country? Its simple, to loot indians back home for large sums of immigration money and to loot the country by hiring indians, paying them low wages and making a big cut of wages for the pockets of indians ceos and managers.\nIndians are mostly low skilled at craftsmanship and thus they always love doing trading and broker business. they mint money on the value of others by being the broker in between. hence, you will always find large flock of indians in politics and in management positions. hence you will find large flock of indians in management courses.\nAfter money, they just blindly run behind large names and high positions.. not because they have the calibre to deserve it, but just for the sake of getting glory by association.

Most Canadians with low educational attainment are being pushed out with high paying jobs by immigrants with higher education graduates. Most immigrants with highly skilled and college grads are from India, Pakistan, China, Philippines...

We shouldn't even begin the conversation on helping immigrants and refugees, when CANADIANS are struggling to with the same issues

If the situation was reversed, we were living in an impoverished country and were invited to immigrate to another country with better opportunities, I know damn well Canadians would jump at it, so I can't blame Indians for coming here. The fault lies squarely on Trudeau for bringing in more immigrants than Canada's population can handle and even more so, not providing housing driving housing prices and rents up. As far as pooping on the beach goes, I am sorry, where there is smoke there is usually fire and as even bleeding heart Liberals have claimed, it is acceptable in India, so pretty good chance someone took liberties here. As far as I am concerned, if you choose to immigrate to a country, you should follow it's laws. It may have just been one or two Indians who did, but as ambassadors of your country, you are responsible for people's perception of you and hatred directed towards your people as a result of your actions is your responsibility, not our fault.

Thank God our Canadian government has finally put a stop to all the immigrants, migrants, whatever flooding into our country. We don't have housing, jobs or services for these foreigners. Canadian government need to work with the Indian govt to curtain agents, and study abroad shops that sell the dream of a better life in Canada to students, and parents. In India if your kid finish grade 12 and got Ilets score 4 to all way 7 then they talk to the agent who talked to the Canadian colleges ! If u can’t pay for your kids study , then you find them spouse who has money and pay for everything only on one condition, he or she can get them to Canada on open work permit ! There was lots of broken relationships because of disputes over money and getting immigration in Canada ! This going on for long time , I guess government didn’t realize that !

I see a lot of comments which are mostly against the international students and are some racist as well. I can understand the pain of Canadian and i am also a canadian now (immigrant), It is a total mess created by the government where government used international students as the cash cow from past 7-8 Years. Its the fault of both sides but the major culprit is the government. I was a also a new immigrant to canada in 2012 and I thanks alot to the open arms welcome for the immigrants by the canadians but when you put a pinch of salt in food its taste good and its was all good until 2015-16. but the government started putting the full carton of salt in small bowl of soup which made the food bitter now not just for the canadian generation but the immigrants which moved to canada before 2016. I hope in the next coming years things will change for canadians. In the last I would, If someone don't wants to welcome me in his home then I should not enter to his home. we should respect that where ever we should go not just canada, it applies to any part of the world and to everyone.

When so many immigrants enter a country that its infrastructure can not handle the increased population, people start to be anti-immigration. People who are not the majority race and culture, are easy targets for people who are frightened by the rise of homelessness and crime, and loss of employment. In Canada, even in small rural towns, long established residents see that their children can not find work, or housing, while obvious immigrants are everywhere as waitresses, cashiers, and other unskilled jobs which their children used to do when starting out. On top of that, many Canadians can not find a family doctor, and our healthcare system is strained to the breaking point. People are frightened, and want the government to tighten immigration policies. I think that our government did not consider all the factors when it opened the door so wide for immigration. Now it has to take a step back, and ensure that the infrastructure is in place before immigrants arrive in Canada, not be forever trying to fix the problems after they have caused havoc!

If they want to settle in Canada, they should apply through immigration system not through sneaky ways and try to bully local people including every person from around the world, that came here through PR immigration programs. \n\nCanada is a beautiful peaceful country and we love it. \nPlease don’t wreck it. \nWe know you all have spent a lot back home, to sneak in here , but we all taxpayers have our own people to take care of. \n\nWe the Canadians need jobs and housing and health care too , that is too much stretched because of you people.

Can’t believe the Prime Minister hasn’t resigned yet for failed policy on immigration. Newcomers are living like sardines due to very expensive rent and Canadians can’t afford rent now due to demand and can’t even get a low wage jobs due to oversupply of newcomers. Really pathetic.

Im old generations Canadian, banks wont lend to me for beeing Construction Contractor, i cant buy land, denied a family doctor and beeing single dad of 4 have to pay everything out of pocket. Meanwhile all housing we do beeing filled with immigrants with new vehicles and not employed. I don’t understand what is the connection with white people going junkies and immigrants successfully settling there. Mostly those junkies complaining about immigrants because they need some kind of target to blame for their failures . Also Canada’s immigration policy to be blamed for this. They left loopholes for non skilled uneducated people , criminals who are eloping from authorities and terrorists to migrate and they are showing their true self there once they feel comfortable. These people are giving bad name for all Indians . Canadian authorities and its politics treat Punjabis as a separate diaspora when they want but when things are bad they are placed back in the Indian diaspora.
