Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

One of the programs I did was an eye opener Leaderahip program. It gave me a glimpse of who I am and what potential I carry. And boom, I realized this is not my place. My life is not just about working and paying bills, it’s more. And this more can only grow home. Otherwise I will keep working with slow growth in employment, and come back home when I can’t live my full potential \n\n\nIf you have to, leave, come to Canada. Exposure is worthwhile. Make sure you take a technical course, avoid debts. Go back home and grow with your country. \n\nKenya is our Canaan.

Told you. Once they hear there's shelter/food/money being provided they'll come on their own and won't have to be sent. And NOTHING you tell them about the reality will stop them. They heard it from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from their cousins nephews next door neighbor and that's the gospel truth from then on. I just want to point out that if they are flying to Canada paying handlers and taking a taxi from the border they are not fleeing extreme poverty they are fleeing the extreme poverty of others. If you think this is something this ain't nothing wait till you see what's coming

Voters get the government and policy they vote for. The politicians they vote for are woke progressive virtue signaling egotists who think they know the correct answers and want to appear as good and kind and compassionate. In reality they don’t know what they are doing and end up hurting the people they claim they want to help being mainly criminals, illegal aliens, mentally ill, homeless and drug addicts. They don’t care about law abiding, honest, tax paying productive citizens. So, those people end up getting the government they vote for.

How much of this can our economy, federal and local budgets handle? This is what George Soros want's, anarchy, poverty and he want's to disarm us at the same time. People need to wake up the people paying for this don't care about the people coming this is an invasion to lead to the destruction of the middle class and then the country falls!

Just wanna present some of my views on this topic, as a indian living in Canada, a lot of points in this discussion are pretty valid. Although, the hate is also in my opinion a little misdirected.\n\nInternational students pay three, maybe even five times as much as domestic students in terms of tuition fees, and while I 100% agree that not everybody even deserves to stay here, a major portion of fault is on government. If you want to make an argument, that government or the country in general never promise the residency status in Canada, then regulate the tuition fees, make it manageable for everyone.\n\nIf you don't want to do that, fair enough, then provide opportunities, there 100% are bad apples in the population, I will not deny that! But you called them, you took the responsibility, you promised the opportunities and students paid for it. Now you hate us for that, either build the bridge both ways or don't hate.\n\nI am genuinely more frustrated with the system rather than immigrants, it is becoming a widespread trend to hate immigrants but I believe the government is just as much at a fault. If you think I am wrong, I would to hear your views on the topic, it is a pretty complex one, just be respectful.

One thing I have noticed in Texas, which is a haven of immigration, is that every crappy apartment complex (unless you are a wealthy Californian they are all crappy) I moved into quickly becomes a haven of crime. I don't know who my neighbors are, and they do not want to get to know me. There is no community, no shared sense of identity or purpose. I struggle to keep my family or four afloat with health issues and the like, and they illegally sublet ten men to an apartment and thus pay nothing for rent.

Indians can't integrate into Canadian lifestyle and ethics. They do not want to integrate and blend into society with harmony. They think they are better and smarter. The reality is that they aren't. They are just average joe like 99% of the world population. On top, they are the cheaters, scammers and liars. They think being a cheater means being smart. This is why majority of Canadians have negative opinion about them. I lived with them for 5 years. I have at least tried to understand. I couldn't. I learned all above in 5 years. I have seen that they bribed driving test examiners, lied police. I have seen that they cheated banks, credit card companies and CRA as well. They harassed people by calling their personal phone numbers to sell service. I have also seen that they have cheated TTC, YRT by not paying their very reasonable 3-4 dollars fare. I have seen that they did committed insurance fraud. I have seen that they stole grocery from department stores. They speed, disobeys traffic rules and more.\n\nThey are also financially frustrated and feel homesick. This is the main reason. They are suffering here and stressed.\n\n\nIt is not racism. It is a behavioral reaction. This will not stop.

Not many people from many country willing to leave their country anymore. Life is way better and improved in those country since Justin and trump or Biden start selling their lands. Why would someone wants to come to Canada ? For what reason ? What is so good here? Is not that true most people here struggle to pay rent or mortgage ? Is not true inflation gas price or living cost can’t catch up with our income? Is not true that young’s are drugged up ? Why no one play soccer in soccer filed? Why parks are empty? As a born and raided Canadian I'm sick of this. I have 3 jobs, none of which have hours for me in my professional field, my bosses are hiring on foreign workers to do the work i can do. Our public spaces are overrun by people who stick together and refuse to acknowledge our culture, and have no plans of assimilation. I am 26 years old, educated, out of work, damn near broke, the thought of owning a home seems damn near impossible here in british columbia. I am drowning in bills for my vehicle, rent, gas, groceries and tax all of which are through the roof. Enough is enough when will our government take care of their own rather than bringing in foreigners and tending to them as if they're the top priority. We have a drug epidemic and our streets are full of Canadian people who are dying and openly doing the worlds most lethal substances in public spaces. Im fed up, frustrated, stressed out, depressed and scared. i want to have a succesful life and raise a family like my parents, grandparents great grandparents and so on but with the current state of the economy im struggling to pay bills and eat healthy food. what is this world coming to. we need change. \nFuck trudeau

I agree with most of the information in this video. I lived in Canada from 2015-2021. When i used to attend college, parking lot always smelled like weed. People were always lined up at the “recreation drugstore” even in excruciating cold. Also, the job market is bad, most of the employers are racist. Permanent residency is very hard to get. Free health care is actually not free. It is deducted from your every single pay checks. If you had any emergencies, be ready to wait for more than 10+ hours; sometimes more than that. I remember when back in 2015, prime minister justin, got more than 5 thousand Syrian refugees, and people were complaining that they are currently facing job shortages, housing issues and many other things but their needs were completely ignored. I recently visited Canada, and it’s getting worse now, lots of traffic, crime and homeless people. I would still recommend if you want to go and get educated because the education system is good. But if your goal is only for settlement then i would suggest to apply for permanent residence first.

Let’s be honest you really think when whites go to other countries they adapt and simulate into that culture? ?look look at Britain when they conquer India did they assimilate into the Indian culture? They were there for more then 200 years did didn’t assimilate actually look at Canada did they assimilate into the native culture who were here before the whites took over? They come here and want to run our country. But we say anything then we are in the wrong. As Canadians were getting pushed out and forgotten. As we pay taxes and fill the pockets of the politicians and those come into this country, we get left with nothing but crumbs sometimes even nothing at all. Canada needs to take back Canada.

I believe India is the best country to stay because:\n- Rents extremely high in developed cities . Property prices unaffordable in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata. People are paying life long EMI till death.\n- Teachers focus more on Private tutions to make money. If you don’t take lessons from them, they will fail you in education system \n-Government doctors more focus on Private practices than their Government jobs. In ICU doctors sometimes sleep because they are tired for their private pactices.\n- Court takes decades to settle court cases. \n- Extremely high inflation - Food prices uncontrolled \n- Retirees not worked for Government getting hard time to pay bills specially medical treatment cost. It’s really hard for them to stay in big cities. No Indian government help and support. Government basically don’t care them. Only big big words at the time of vote \n- middle class working upto 11 pm to save their job , no retirement money- just surviving \n- After completing MBA, lot of job seekers land in selling target oriented credit card selling and driving Uber/ Toto \n- Ministers have so much under table money they keep their money inside the walls of their property \n- Sides of Highways full of Poverty . We *better* pay attention. \nEurope is having immigration issues and even the Nordic countries are getting hostile. I don't totally blame the immigrants, they are wanting to leave a terrible environment, but the host government should set the tone. This is 100% True! Actually the condition is much worst than descirbed in this video.\n\nHealth Care:- Average wait time to get a family doctor is 3-5 years. In simple words, if you have an extremly seious condition then only you get an immediate treatement in Emergency. If you need to see a specialist like dermatologist or orthopedic, average wait time here is 6 months. \n\nRents :- Canada population has increased by over 1 Million every year in past 3-4 years due to libreal immigration policies. However, the goverment did not take any steps to accomodate these people. To give context, Canada has built houses every year to accomodate only 300K people. That is why the average rent(950$) is more than double nowadays (2000$) for the same house/apartment in compare to what was 5-6 years ago. \n\nHome Affordibility:- Average family(two person) income is $75k yearly right now. Average house price in Canada is $700k. The bank only approves mortgage upto 4x times your income. So that is 75 * 4 = $300k mortgage. So you need to make a downpayment of $400k if you want to buy your own home. \nBy the way, the minimum wage job package is only $32k per year. \n\nCrime and Chaos:- Canada has a catch and release policy for repeated criminals. Let's say somebody stole you car and got caught, he will be released on bail in 10 mins. The crime rate has increased 20% in last 5 years. \n\nTaxes:- Average family(two person) earning $75k pays 29% income tax to Goverment for these above mentioned wonderful servies. So in hand they only get around $53k, plus they pay 13% additoanl tax on groceries, clothers, insurance, absoulte everything.

I am watching this video from Canada and I have 4 words for you - “DO NOT COME HERE!!!” Everything that was mentioned in the video is absolutely true. Canada is facing many problems, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare systems, homeless people, drugs. I am always scared to walk in downtown at night when I’m returning from work. And the worst part is, you cannot even defend yourself here if a homeless person is attacking you. If you do that you will be prosecuted saying that why did you touch that homeless guy and it is a violation of human rights, which is stupid. So does that mean that we should just let a random homeless person kill us?? How does that make sense?? My friend who was having an asthma attack had to sit in the emergency room for 8 hours. If something would have happened, who would be responsible? And the list just goes on. And what does the Canadian prime minister do about that….? Let a guy be a girl and a girls become a guy? What does that even mean??? I have nothing against the LGBTQ people. That’s your life do whatever you want, I don’t care. But there are so many other issues going on in the country and the government is focusing on allowing people to change their genders !! \nAnd the worst part is that a portion of the tax we pay from our hard earned money goes to the homeless people. And what do they do? Buy drugs and start attacking random people. Bro, I'm living in Vancouver from last year. Took 40 Lakhs of Loan for My MBA, chipped in money for fees. Till date I've got no benefit from Canada, except for bills and spending money on taxes and rent. This is damn true! - Work permits are getting queries, PR files are getting rejection. No job part time opportunities.\n\n1. Renting a room, especially for boys is the hardest if you are looking a private room. (my rent is 950$ for a private room, i struggle to pay this every month - without having a job)\n2. All banks want you to get enrolled as a student, then give credit cards, so you can easily buy things and pay them more and get you involved in the loop. \n3. I've applied in almost every job for part time, got rejection due to no available positions (Reasons : too many applicants)\n4. You are not gonna get a job in your field, unless you are into finance or IT with a found background.\n5. I DAILY SEE OUR PEOPLE ALSO GETTING ATTRACTED TO THIS CULTURE, SMOKING WEED ON A DAILY BASIS AND DOING MANY THINGS WHICH I FEEL STUDENTS MUST NOT DO. \n6. For my chest pain, they kept me waiting 4 hours in a line. Asked me that if i can stand and sit for a while then i must not worry. I was completely weak at that time, shivering and going through 101 fever.\n7. 75$ monthly for MSP insurance we pay as temporary residents -> still waiting for 4 hours to meet the doctor.\n8. Current situation of students is worse here, no opportunities for many students who come with hope, especially if they are coming for PGDM, or bachelors. Currently at this time only, MASTERS is given a priority.\n9. Don't think about applying for PR, unless you are filthy rich, unless you have exceptional skills in the industries which IRCC is looking for.\n10. Racism is at its peak, especially only on students** sad thing to say but yes this is the reality of international students.\n\n\nI hope all my brothers and sisters here come with a planning, strategy and best and worst case scenarios preparation. Life here is not easy, if you once come here, institutions, your own people will get you involved into buying things, showing you dreams and holding you on paying the EMIs monthly.

Canada is the most beautiful country in the world that’s its usp , again we Indians can learn something from Canada is the way they preserved their nature that is remarkable that gives them good oxygen rich air , water and hygiene that Indian people are far away or never witnessed in their life. We don’t have any greenery in our country we really need to work on improving that but neither the people nor the government is interested in making good changes or even have such idea in head ! Along with that Canada has strong tax system you really get tax return as well as strong labour protection act that guards its resident from exploitation and employees can sue the employer if exploitation is provable on table with facts. India doesn’t have any strong labour protection body this results even in corporate jobs you have to work more than 8 hours and no OT , plus Canada has EI (employment insurance) so that means is , if you loose your job for any reason you will get government assistance to help to pay your bills till you find your next job. Plus disability benefits , food banks , freedom to live your life the way you want, you can eat what you want, religion based stupidity doesn’t exist in that country. So yes it’s true I don’t like the Canadian PM either but overall Canada is really good country and we Indians can learn atleast some good things they carry and adapt to our country and make India bit better place to live. I'm a born and raised Canadian, and jobs that I was previously able to live off of 2 years ago I am now on the brink of homelessness every single month of rent. Working those same jobs everyday in the lowest rent apartment I can find. I do 10 hour shifts most days retail and spending more than 50 dollars a month on food bounces my rent and negatives my account which makes me pay more fees on top of it. I cant afford a car, or anything for transportation. The wage I'm making now was the perfect amount for me 2 years ago to live comfortably by my standards. Now I'm going to be a homeless 24 year old Canadian that works their ass off every day and can't seem to find a better paying job regardless of how much I put myself out there... In the last 2 months I have lost a total of 16lbs because I can only eat so much on my budget. I am a hard working Canadian that just wants the luxury of being able to not stress about these things because I work so hard. But that seems to not matter.

I have been living in Alberta since 2014. A two bedroom apartment near YYC was around $1350 per month in 2019, is now $2050 monthly as of July 2024. There is no cap on rent increase in Alberta so the apartment management companies and house owners are increasing the rent to whatever amount they want! The increase of immigrants moving into Calgary is worsening the housing crisis and the government has no control over this! Transit system is very weak for a fastest growing city like Calgary, not enough buses on the road which is allowing car dealers to sell cars on high prices on higher interest rate and banks and insurance companies are taking advantage of all these. Most employers in Calgary pay $17-$18 per hour maximum wage which is impossible for families to live on. Horrible time ahead for Albertans if govt. fails to take immediate action.

We are paying them to ruin our country. They are on welfare and having many children. They don’t work outside the home. The children are running around like animals and the parents don’t talk in a normal tone they yell and scream at each other and the children. They don’t want to assimilate to our values

most newcomers to any country struggle especially since most are not bringing in wads of cash to start a business but literally scraping in using life savings just to get here - however once here with residential status a national health care and level of income security for unemployment benefits is an added bonus which you won't get in every country regardless of residency status but refugees and others come in with no money at all as well as problems in some cases with language barriers, but as bad as everyone thinks it is the grass is not greener on the other side just because you're paying lower taxes but privatising infrastructure only makes things more expensive even when you're not taxed.... and Canada is a huge country with very limited number of tax payers such a small market would double costs for private business too - and just cos things may be cheaper you may find you don't fit as well as you thought..... and also the more you move the less time you have to settle and grow into the space you find yourself now....I've lived in 3 very different countries so I understand how difficult it is.... and how some places regardless of cost just fit better than others.... I love Toronto... but would not want to live in Vancouver or Texas for very different reasons... and don't judge a city by people who don't know how privileged they are to live in Toronto or anywhere in Canada really they should try living in India or Russia or even South Africa... places may be cheap but the lifestyle isn't worth much as a result of being failed states - even USA is falling apart road by road bridge by bridge.....of course there's hope for all of them eventually.... but if you don't like it it's probably best you leave.... if you don't want Canada why would Canada want you.... your just bringing the nation into disrepute

Vancouver real-estate is essentially a money laundering operation for rich foreigners looking to stash their money somewhere. Protections were put in place a little to late back in 2016 with the foreign buyers tax. But honestly most of these foreigners can either be exempt from this tax with their citizenship loop hole (anchor baby) Or honestly they just pay the fine since they can afford it and just need to get their money out of the country they are coming from. Its quite dystopian because building more homes like the government keeps promising isn't going to solve the problem either. This is because its just going to add more to the volume of housing that the foreigners can buy up from the locals and adding more fuel to the problem. Immigrations Canada is lying to new comers. To top it off, BC just recently passed a law in 2024 where you can no longer build single family residences in the lower mainland area. WHERE are the families going to go then? Can anyone even afford a family anymore? Vancouverites like myself who were diligent and saved every penny are walking away from mortgages in droves because who wants to lock into a 30 year term amortization period where at rate plus prime your looking at 5.5%-7% where the bank makes more than double in interest from you. Over the course of 30 years you still lose because even if your property appreciates past double. Capital Gains will take into effect. Your loosing money no matter what! It truly is a nightmare designed to enslave you financially. This is simply wealth creation suicide. Came from immigrant parents in the 1990s, I slaved for 10 years during my twenties, didn't come from wealth, didn't party, didn't have fun, studied hard, and started a business and I still cant break into the Vancouver market. So I ended up just barely squeaking into the market in Abbotsford. Vancouverites as a whole are screwed. Time to pack up and move to Alberta I suppose. I will also preface by saying that most of BC is empty and that it would make sense to built outside of the Vancouver area as Vancouver has now basically become fiscally unlivable. It might make sense for the next government that come into power to decide to invest in building in other towns and cities around BC to incentivize Canadians to move.

The house prices will go down when people stop buying them. As long as there are people who can afford to pay what the homeowner wants, they will NOT go down. That's how a free market works. Leave the Lower Mainland if you can't afford it. Have you ever looked at a map of BC? Big place. Lots of choices.

Send all the illegal immigrants back where they came from. Those that want to stay need to apply for legal immigration, must be properly vetted, pledge allegiance to Canada, become Canadian, leaving hatred from their previous country behind, and cannot stay here while they wait. A moratorium on all new applications for at least 10 years. This way the back log of legal immigrants can be dealt with. Stop all new international students, put a moratorium on it for at least 10 years, stop all temporary and permanent workers. All loopholes used to illegally get into the county must be stopped. This will reduce the cost of illegal immigration and solve a large portion of the lack of housing. No more government subsidies to pay for foreign workers. This will open up entry level jobs for young Canadians. No more government subsidies for anything for immigrants. If they need government support then no, you are then disqualified from coming. No more abuse of our Canadian social programs.

Idk if you mention this but in NS the gov pays 75% of immigrant wages meaning employers prefer hiring immigrants over citizens. I lost my family doctor 2 years ago and haven’t gotten a new one. My kids did as well. And walk in clinics are literally lined up outside the door every day. \nAnd I’ll add the culture of India is a lot different than Canadian culture especially when it comes to customer service.. even getting our doubles doubles has been effected. \nAnd I’ll mention the immigrants often have no kids or family with them.. they live all in 1 place even 8 people in a 1 bedroom and they will have multiple jobs. It’s not because canadians don’t want to work.. it’s literally more profitable for the employer.

I live in Montreal and came from Mexico in 2012... I understand that a lot of people like myself want to come to Canada looking for a better life... But the government only wants increasing numbers of immigrants each year to keep the real estate bubble no matter the cost.\nI think inevitably migration will be reduced to a fraction because is not sustainable and eventually AI will start to replace withe collar workers that have to pay rent or a mortgage at that point the real estate bubble would collapse

That’s why a secular society is so dangerous it’s too open and the Muslims know this and exploit it very soon they’ll be in political office which is dangerous because they can change legislation and make sharia and stuff like this legal and common. As long as they are not covering their faces (for instance), obeying all the laws, paying taxes, being good humans, and not causing safety issues. Seems Canadians are not that keen on diversity, after all, which is ok. But then don’t advertise a diverse multi culture narrative to attract immigrants and then bash them once in. Sounds pretty prejudiced to me.

This is not accurate. The problem is it’s destroying the economy! Canadian taxpayers pay for the immigration mess, at a time when health care, education, infrastructure is crumbling. \n\nThey are brining in millions of immigrants, printing money, increasing debt, to pay for all this, and now they want to increase our taxes. All while there is a recession happening.

It's time for Canada to deport these people they are the reason that the country is in a housing crisis, a major strain on our already strained health care, the reason Canadian students struggle to find employment, not to mention how difficult it has made it for some canadian university students to have access to the relevant classes because they fill up with foreign students. This ends up cost the Canadian students more money and time to complete their degree, it's not fair and as a parent of a Canadian university student I am beyond frustrated with the state ofbthis country because of the overwhelming amount of immigrants here, and to say that they are adding value to this country by filling jobs and growing the economy by putting the money they earn back into our economy is naive and false because the jobs they fill now require 8 employees to the same job 4 employees were able to handle before these immigrants came along and as for the money they earn, while that gets sent directly back to the country they originated from. Also not to mention the crime rate increase as well as the increase of scams. They are offended by the truth but to bad, the truth hurts and life long ( not 5 or 6 months) tax paying Canadian's are the ones hurting the most. The majority of these people are not escaping from war torn countries. Get out Go home because canadian's want theirs back!!
