why there should be islamic environment in Canada ? rather any country which is not being called as islamic country? \nYou people should understand that if you are moving to a different country, one need to follow that country rules , respect and adopt their culture but keeping your values high. But not trying to impose your practices in other countries. \nThis is the problem today for any person with Islam background tries to run way from their own country where you can pray 5 times without any issues but trying to show case that the same is not available in other country where you move for better life and bread and butter. \n\nIf I have to say reasons, I will never bring religion and religious practices as a reason for moving out. Because I will keep those things between 4 walls. Once I am out side of my house, I fee any other person is just a human. \n\nFirst of all don't give high value to religion. Religion is part of life but religion should not be life. If educated people like you think in this way , Imagine what others will think. \n\nSo my suggestion is religion is good to follow. but don't make religion as important beyond life. It will neither brings close to god or nor close to a neighbor who is of different religion. It can be any religion per say.\n\nIf you kids should be like kids, then teach them life, not religion. It should be a tiny part of their life but should not be their life. \nAlso think twice why there is hate spread against muslims. There are many more religions are there around the world. Why only Muslims are being hated highly across the world? - You have to ask this question yourself. This is sad but I think this is happening all over the western world I’d say. There’s an explosion in migrant population. In some ways it’s good as it helps fund the economies of the countries as they are typically comprised of aging populations. But on the other hand, a lack of planning and forethought has meant that already faltering housing situations have turned into full blown crises. It’s just such an avoidable tragedy playing out in front of our eyes.

You will live well anywhere in the world if you have money or a good source of income. All the Canadian ex-pats living abroad have either money (they made here), real estate that they can sell or rent to have income from here, a Canadian pension or a willingness to live in the forest/off-grid, as many videos show. No place is affordable for the people living there, and that's why many immigrants still leave their countries and come here. For example, many Canadians move to Mexico, while many Mexicans are moving here. Canadians still have it good, believe me!! I travel and see. Yes, we have many challenges with housing and the high cost of living like BIG cities worldwide do. So, people saying they will leave Canada are still privileged people.

I hope you find a better place because there are the same problems around the world. The United States have normalize a lot of what you are talking about. Hate is growing, greed is growing. I'm almost 70, born in Toronto, I've only traveled to Quebec a few times, no other provinces. I have flown 4 times in my life, once to Thunder Bay, once to Chicago, and two times to the Philippines. I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world. I have worked over 40 years in average jobs but I made it. I respect everyone's religion but don't push it on me, I'm not religious in anyway. You ask for price and people say NO!!! Then they ask you> are you any good<? I mean, I done 250 homes in Vancouver BC and they still have doubts. Some times i watch videos on differents experiences others migrants experiencing here Canada and we re on same boat. That s why i also made choice to move out in Colombia on the beach for my retirement.Then im here giving some advise. As immigrant myself, African from Gabon, we experiencing same realities of the West since 10 years now. At some point, i can say there s something broken in this country since last 6-8 years. Most countries have been shaped by a religious foundation. Muslims don't really fit in Christian countries; Christians are too polite (usually) to say anything, but you are very different. There is nothing wrong with finding like-minded people to move toward your own happiness. Good luck to you!

I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. And although I agree with some things eg: the extreme stance and slide into extreme liberalism, your move is one extreme to the other, and despite the cancel culture here it still stands for real freedom when compared to the middle east. We came to Canada in seventies, and it takes at least 5 to 8 years to settle here. These days, people are doing well in India. There is no need to move here. Canada has also changed a lot. I know people who came to Canada returned to india after 5 months. Not once twice. They came back and are well settled. I will say if people are doing good in India and have a big circle of family and friends in India. Then they won't be happy here. Finding a good job takes years in some case. It's your luck too if you find a decent job then you will be ok. The worst thing here is long winter. You get tired of cold and snow. Now the cost of living is very high, renting or buying a house is very expensive. In the end, most people make it.

This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. I like what she says about her grandchildren, in future years, may have to leave wherever they go now… alluding to the possibility (I believe) that perhaps there is no permanently perfect place… I can understand how they would appreciate living somewhere where the daily prayers are announced 5 times daily over loudspeaker. I often feel so very isolated in myself in MY way of life here in Canada (which doesn’t happen to be as a Muslim). After all, we are the “cultural melting pot,” and so many people of different cultures have come here and tried to make a life work for them. It's simple. A huge number of mostly males from countries that hate the western way of life have been imported into Canada. They bring their tribal and violent ways along with them and refuse to integrate. Very good objective video. I grew up in Toronto and had many great experiences in the city as well as commuting from west Toronto into the city for five years of high school (grade 9 to grade13). At an very early age I used to fearlessly ride buses, street cars and the subway system with no concerns of crime or potential violence in my mind. I think that a lot of people who seem to hate Canada in this comment section are either from Toronto and Vancouver, the two most expensive cities in the country, but these two cities don't represent Canada as a whole. \n\nPersonally I live in a smaller city in Québec (Saguenay) and life quality is super good, there are a lot of job opportunities and housing is very cheap, and it is an amazing place for outdoor lovers\n\nI saw many comments saying that the US is cheaper than Canada... Those people simply don't compare what's comparable. If you compare Toronto with comparable cities in the US like New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Toronto is in fact MUCH cheaper. If I compare my city with comparable cities in the US, well it turns out that Saguenay is much cheaper\n\nSo before wanting to move to another country, you can simply think about moving within Canada. If however you hate winter, then there's no reason to stay here ?

I would personally say go to Bursa or Alanya in Turkey. But even The Netherlands might be good transition from Canada. The winter also ain't as cold here as in Canada we also don't have a lot of snow here. You only don't have many locations to hear the Adhan. And no one informs them how the pension plan works. To explain with simple numbers, let's say you worked in Canada for 20 years. You will receive the maximum CPP about $1200 per month only if you worked in Canada for 40 years. If you retired with only 20 years CPP contribution your pension will be $1200 x 20/40 = $600. Unfortunately to survive in Canada you will have to have saved at least 500000, yes half a million of today's money. Good lack with that with the crazy cost of living if you rent a home. Conclusion, save some money and leave before is too late.
