As a 60 years old french Canadian I have all the reason to not love Trudeau, because he remind me how his father treated us, never vote for him, but today I saw a men (finally) standing up and take the lead for our country. Yes Canada is still my country and I like the way he directly adress to your president. I have so many American friends on both side( D and R ) and I hope they understand that what he said is not directly apply to United State citizen, wake up America before it s to late.

As an American that saw the writing on the wall 7 years ago and left, I thank you Mr. Trudeau. You, and Canada are very much respected, and the world listens. Hopefully, decent Americans will overthrow the tyrant that 50% of them voted him in. To say I am ashamed of the USA as it stands is AWAY underwhelming. Much respect from Portugal, and long live Canada.

As European/German I hope Canada and the EU will ally closer over all this.

For my personal gain I was hoping that he can relaunch American economy but I can't see how bigger tariffs would work......inflation is really gonna go up......wonder if he'll just go on a lying campaign and say it's just fake news and we're doing great....

Both Canada and Mexico have done everything to work together with U.S. - we are the 3 amigos and trade partners. I cant believe this is happening, hopefully it will all resolve each other. We are not enemies, we are the closest countries not only in geography, but in history, culture, and trade.

On behalf of all Americans with an active brain i do sincerely apologize for the dumb tariffs imposed by Trump and Musk and i hope that after Trump leaves office we can get someone who understands tarrifs and its effects and who will revoke this tariffs and restore the healthy America and Canada relationship once again.

Every day I now get up and never felt more depressed about what Trump is doing not just to Canada, Ukraine, Europe. Wake up America before it’s too late. i hope you can stand the eventuality and significant economic and interpersonal effect this will promote. i agree principally with none of this, its unnecessary and extremist in leaning. but i can stand it and saw this ahead of time as eventual. my question is can you stand these economic effects . did they ask you on the campaign trail? well . i also suspect as an independent that we will be both affected and tested. Consider those in power in government and big business who see to these situations becoming realities for American citizens , remember they live in mansions and have generational wealth. they can lose billions and withstand it. They will not now or ever feel the effects of their poorly thought through actions. we will. we will have to. I'll never ask anyone to do something i wont.i suspect our leading majority which i came from formerly up until this point wont balance this situation. keep that in mind.

Well done Mr. Trudeau, he is no longer Prime Minister of Canada. He can express his thoughts openly and honestly. Without harming relations between our countries, he can put diplomacy aside, while expressing himself in a respectful manner. Ukrainians must fight against an invader and put their lives in danger. Our invader is purely economic. Let us hope that all Canadians will show as much determination and respect for moral principles. Not to bow to a lawless mentality.

As a Mexican, i hope that the TMEC between our countries is still in place, in spite of the US abandonment. US trade with Mexico in 2024 was 840 billion and with Canada 762 Billion. US is turning its back on its closest allies.

The problem that i see here in Canada, each province doesn’t work together. One province will block other province flow of products. Hope that provinces will help one another.

I am a USA citizen and a veteran. Trump's behavior doesn't represent this countries heart. This is an embarrassment and stains what we all believe and fought for. Canada, Mexico, Greenland and Europe beware. It seems Trump's greed and ego are out of control. These actions seem to be putting your countries in notice that Trump doesn't view you as allies. I believe he will pull out of NATO . Please pull together with Europe and become non reliant on Trump. Become an economic force without this wanna be king.
