Being indian i was put into severe check and questions by immigration officers at Hong kong, Macua and Japan though i have decent travel history...this is due to indians have reputation of over staying in the past in Dubai / Malaysia/ Singapore with tourist visa. As indians we have to blame ourselves. They check are we genuine traveller and have sufficient funds to meet our Travel expenses i see nothing wrong in that.

@3:30: Burkino Faso, Kosovo and Cuba have tiny populations. Even if their entire population migrated, the locals in the country receiving them would hardly notice any difference. Not so with India and its 1.5 billion population, many of whom want to migrate only because the neighbour's/aunt's/uncle's son also went abroad. Announce a liberal visa regime for Indians one day, and within a year, your country would start looking like Chandigarh or Ahmedabad. While most countries are ok with some diversity, no one wants to be overrun by foreigners, even if the foreigners in question are Indians who are generally law abiding and hard working. And then there are the 'smarter ' types who fake documents and produce bogus certificates to get visas and even pay human smugglers to take them abroad if their visas are rejected. It's for all these reasons why India's passport is ranked at 85. The only reason why India doesn't fall even further is because there are bigger basket cases like India's 'friendly' neighbors who are sitting tight below.\nIf India wants equitable treatment, it should first make itself the best place in the world for an Indian to live and work in. The more you rely on the others for visas, the more likely they are to refuse you.

Faced same issue. Got rejected then got approved. Yes many Indians do cause a ruckus and follow questionable methods to enter and stay. So people like us always loose visa fees

it's great that people are pointing out about visas but why no data analysis about country basic problems? if we sort those out, we would be rather thinking whose visa we need to grant and whom to reject?\n1. why no question on regulations on digitalization? In MNC there are SLA for server down, 404 not found etc. while it's been years we moved to digitalization but yet no proper regulations.\n2. lets be honest unemployment and inflation is beyond our control.\n3. No termination rule in govt. job despite there are n number of jobless personnel available to fill the sacked officer/employee immediately, the service quality the responsibility towards job is 0.\n4. corporate retires people at 65 because at this age their stamina and decision making capabilities are no sound, fair enough but then 65 + aged people are making decisions about government and countries, how is that even logical? Indian immigrants don’t assimilate. That’s why they think it’s okay to take a shit on the beach. Indian hygiene standards are low. When you land in India, you are greeted with the smell of it. As a former immigrant who has been a Canadian citizen for over 40 years I am mindful that too many immigrants get into the country too easily - not like in my time when I had to actually qualify to come here. We, the older generation (including immigrants), helped to build Canada, but the newcomers just come here to take what they can. There are too many new immigrants who should not be here in the first place, and they have no intention of assimilating. What a mess!\nI have to ask you a question, though. What if the high influx was from Sweden or Germany? Would you still be that interested in the story?

Unfortunately it is not true that a majority of the Indians are highly qualified. To be honest many of the Indian students here have poor communication skills and questionable qualifications. What is needed is a more careful selection process. I know of some Indians who are highly trained well educated and an asset to Canada especially in the health and tech fields. At the same time I see many who are not able to pass basic language tests let alone professional examinations.
