A functioning immigration system must remove illegal aliens \n \nRecent disclosures by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that hundreds of thousands of criminal immigrants are at large in the United States raise the question of why the Biden-Harris administration isn’t doing more to remove them. Increasing deportations is a necessary part of fixing what Vice President Kamala Harris refers to as “our broken immigration system.” She is right to describe it that way. But the administration in which she serves was the one to break it, not least by impeding ICE deportations. \n \nCurrently, about 1.3 million aliens under final orders of removal — those who have received due process and been ordered deported — are on ICE’s “non-detained docket” of 7 million individuals. These individuals include criminal aliens, whom Congress has directed ICE to detain and remove. But ICE can’t remove many of them because they’re from so-called recalcitrant countries — nations that refuse to provide the U.S. government with the travel documents it needs to facilitate the return of their nationals. The Supreme Court has held that, with only narrow exceptions, even detained criminals due to be deported must be released after six months absent a “significant likelihood of removal in the reasonably foreseeable future.” If ICE can’t get their travel documents, there’s no likelihood of removal. \n \nFortunately, Congress gave the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) a tool to force recalcitrant countries to comply. Unfortunately, the Biden-Harris administration won’t use it. Under section 243(d) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), once DHS notifies the State Department that a foreign country “denies or unreasonably delays” the return of its nationals, the secretary of state must “order consular officers in that foreign country to discontinue granting immigrant visas or nonimmigrant visas, or both,” to nationals of that country. The George W. Bush and Obama administrations used that authority sparingly, each restricting visa issuance to just one country in order to force compliance. As my colleague Mark Krikorian recently noted, “Trump made much wider use of it, and got results.”\nSOURCE, CENTER FOR IMMIGRATION STUDIES

Murderer from Colombia Released Into U.S. by ICE After Crossing Border Illegally \nMay 22, 2024 \n \nThe recent arrest of Efrain Vidales Vargas, a convicted murderer from Colombia, is another example of the perilous consequences of the Biden administration’s failure to secure our borders. \n \nVargas, who entered the U.S. illegally near Yuma, Arizona, in November 2023, was initially detained but subsequently released by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). \n \nVargas is wanted in Colombia on charges of aggravated homicide, aggravated theft and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was convicted and sentenced to 17 years in prison on September 29, 2016. \n \nICE knew about Vargas’ murder conviction in Colombia and extensive criminal history. An ICE officer on December 11, 2023, even noted his conviction in Columbia, but two days later, he was released with a notice to appear and allowed to roam freely in the United States. This was apparently due to a “national bed space shortage caused by the Southwest border surge.” \n \nThis incident is a glaring example of how the current administration’s open-border policies jeopardize the safety of Americans and undermine the rule of law.\nSOURCE, FAIR US org

Withhold all federal funding from Santucary cities until they fully cooperate with ICE in apprehension and detaining of all illegal immigrants within their jurisdiction. If they are willing to protect a group of people who not citizens of this country? These governors and mayors will be bordering on treason and only hurting they own citizens.

Wetback. How did she get her green card? Illegally probably. Just because you are a legal citizen most of them get it the illegal way. She needs to be checked. I know her name and will run a background on her and report to ICE.

Why is this a warning? We need to celebrate our tax dollars going back to the American citizens. They can’t afford food in the refrigerators or rent. This ice agent is a huge part of the problem. Clearly he was never on the side of the American people. Glad he’s gone.

This guy was “acting” director of ICE for 6-months. \n\nHe is a lawyer. \n\nTell me why top border patrol officials supported Trump for presidency?
2024-11-08 0
Where do the people who have been displaced due to the illegals find applications to become ICE agents.
2024-11-08 0
I see why he’s an EX-ice. Good riddance!!!!
2024-11-08 0
Theres a reason hes an EX ICE member.

Imagine seeing black painted ICE vans on the roads during your commute home in the evening. You’ll know what there for! Imagine seeing a family being loaded up, with the parents hands zip tied, right infront of their children! \nTheir crime is for crossing back into a land that we basically stole from them back in 1846. Pesident Polk was looking for a just cause to steal the southwestern states and used a skirmish the border as a trigger.

ICE can finally do their job, great!!????
2024-11-07 0
This works for OLDdon - and the news media are doing the work. The more they broadcast this, the more migrants start heading for the borders.\nWho deals with the issue? Not OLDdon - BIDEN.\nSo, when OLDdon squats again in our White-House, the problem is so out of control he calls on ICE - looking like a savior to his blind followers.\n\nLet's do what we can, that is in our control - MID TERM ELECTIONS.\n\nThis is a big country, and county, state and local governments are already taking steps to thwart OLDdon's horrific policies.

You do realize it’s not just Latinos that would be getting deported. Mass deportation also includes Africans, Haitians, Arabs, Egyptians, etc. Do you think an ICE officer will cares enough to differentiate between a Black American born in the US and say a Black Honduran ?? What about families who are mixed race and one parent is US born while the other isn’t? Then what? I’m immensely disappointed by Latinos voting for this man, but mass deportation isn’t “cut and dry” where it’s only going to effect one group. It’s going to impact TONSSS of people across the board.

This admin has let in over 10 million people, mostly not vetted and now they are trashing trump asking how he’ll fix this situation Biden and Harris created…. Btw family and friends in CBP, customs and ice have already came out saying they were instructed not to do their jobs in securing the border and enforcing the law…

Police officers going to doings ICE job.
2024-11-07 0
There's no way this is gonna work. They have been trying this before I was born, and I'm 48 years old. Funds? Temporary Housing? Medical care while being confined? Not enough ICE officers?? Who's gonna do the jobs that they were doing? Americans commit more crimes than these people and there are way less boarder crossings. Give it a break.
2024-11-07 0
Fair reason he's a *former* ICE-official.
2024-11-07 0
ICE is afraid of babies and grandmothers
2024-11-07 0
Here we go; this ice official should shut up. They did nothing. Replace all of them with too many impotent officials.

ICE Acknowledges that 647,000 Aliens with Criminal Charges or Convictions are Roaming Freely in the U.S. \n \nFAIR Take | September 2024 \n \nIn a letter released Friday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) acknowledged that 425,000 aliens released into the U.S. have criminal convictions and another 222,000 aliens have criminal charges pending. The letter, written by acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner, was released by Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales, who received it in response to requests for information he sent the agency six months ago. \n \nThe criminal aliens that Director Lechleitner referred to in his letter – the vast majority of whom are in the country illegally – are on ICE’s non-detained docket. That simply means even though the aliens are deportable, they were released into the U.S. (either by Customs and Border Protection or ICE) while their cases are pending. Their cases may be resolved in several ways, such as being approved for asylum or receiving a final order of removal by an immigration judge. However, until their cases are resolved, ICE tracks these non-detained aliens. The number of aliens on ICE’s non-detained docket has tripled since Fiscal Year (FY) 2018, growing from 2.6 million to 7.4 million in FY 2024. \n \nIn the letter sent to Rep. Gonzales, ICE made several shocking admissions about aliens released into the U.S. as part of the non-detained docket. Over 13,000 aliens have convictions for murder. Another 15,000 have convictions for sexual assault. If that weren’t bad enough, ICE’s letter contained even more detail: 56,000 aliens on the non-detained docket have convictions related to dangerous drugs, 62,000 have convictions for assault; 18,000 have convictions for larceny (theft); 14,000 have convictions for burglary; 13,000 have convictions for weapons offenses, and 2,500 have convictions for kidnapping.\nSOURCE, FAIR US org

Trump needs to fulfill the will of the voters! I can only imagine the chaos that will occur if he does not start deportations early next year. If there are not enough official ICE agents, then allow Americans that are here legally to detain, arrest, and receive compensation for removing illegals!

How will ICE know the difference between her and her relatives. ?

Wait. ICE leadership in the biden administration is warning Trump? LOL priceless. The biden administration has no room to lecture ANYONE about matters of border and immigration. Get over yourself, CNN.

Maybe if the ex-ice member did his job instead of slacking off, the next president wouldn't have a mess to clean up?
2024-11-07 0
With police immunity, police can and will create and build cases against these people just because they can, including ICE.
2024-11-07 0
Finally, an ICE official who is actually spitting facts. Criminal aliens ARE prioritized, and the most serious crimes are top of that list. Any non-citizen who is convicted of a crime that has a possible sentence of at least 365 days - whether the non-citizen served any time or no time at all- is deportable. Two misdemeanors can make non-citizens deportable.

Montrealer here. You can send your kids to any school you can afford. If they're destined to be part of the elite (because you have a lot of money, or whatever), they'll fit right in. Just make sure you can afford all the years it'll take for them to graduate. Otherwise, the switch could be a bit rough on them.\n\nIf you drive, invest in winter tires, even if the province you're in don't make them mandatory. They sure are in Quebec, and they make a big difference while driving in snow.\n\nDon't wear your winter clothes (big puffy jackets, knit hat and scarf, etc.) before winter. Get some in-between-seasons clothes (polar sweaters and jackets, long sleeves t-shirts, cotton scarfs, hiking boots, etc.) If you dress super warm while still in fall, you'll freeze come winter. You have to give your body a chance to acclimate itself to the lower temperature. \n\nWhen buying clothes for winter, the secret to being warm is NOTHING TIGHT. Get a loose jacket, and boots you can move your toes in, with a good sole (no thin cute leather boots please, they are not for winter, just for show), and wear them with fluffy socks, no tight bands. Also, get mittens instead of gloves, much much warmer. And a loose tuque, or ear muffs with the hood of your jacket.\n\nAnd get a pair of ice cleats, for those days when everything is covered in ice. Or learn to skate ! ?

They need 100,000 ICE officers to even begin this plan.\n\nIf you voted for Trump, start sending in your applications. I'm _sure_ you all will meet the physical and mental requirements ??.\n\nHave fun risking your lives on a lie just like the Border Wall. I'm sure you'll get at least 6% of this plan done just like that one, and it won't totally be a waste of time, money, and human lives.

2024-11-07 0
What about current ICE workers who have begged the Biden administration for years for extra help? Why isn’t attention being given to them?
2024-11-07 0
That's because the Biden admin dismantled ICE

I knew an undocumented young woman who was living with her 1 yr old baby and her undocumented husband in NC. He started beating her up really badly so she called the cops. The cops arrested them both, even though he was the clear aggressor. They sent the baby off to cps and cps sent the child back to her extended family in Mexico. She spent 3 years in the county jail, never having access to proper medical care, fresh air & greenery or money for commissary or phone minutes. She was still in the early stages of learning English so she was unable to properly advocate for herself before she made bilingual friends and she couldn’t even read the English books in the county jail. Last I heard, she had finally been transported to a huge ICE detention facility in Georgia, but her case was still in limbo and she still had not seen her daughter 4 years later?\n\nShe was such a sweet young woman and what happened to her was so cruel, inhumane and totally undeserved. People who advocate for mass deportation are asking for millions of more stories just like hers, but with even more violence, since Trump would have to use storm troopers to do raids and papers checks so they can kidnap the 20 million people they want to deport.
2024-11-05 0
This woman has no idea how messed up our current immigration system is. The fact that she thinks her deported cousins could successfully reapply or that she said “I stood in line for hours and days to get my green card” just shows how out of touch she is. She thinks that Trump sees her as an equal when he doesn’t. He doesn’t care about the difference between “illegal” or “legal” immigrants… he said non white immigrants are “poisoning the blood of America.” \nAnd as a Mexican born immigrant, she should never forget that the only thing protecting her is a green card, which can be revoked at any time. She is selfish and deluded. I am a daughter of a Taiwanese immigrant who watches Fox News every night and it drives me crazy. Y’all are no better than any illegal immigrant. We need more of them to sustain our low birth rate. Immigrants are awesome and there’s absolutely no good reason to inhumanely and violently deport immigrants. I have heard stories from friends of how inhumane the ICE detention centers are. They treat you like animals, worse than they treat US citizens who are murderers.

This is someone who would call ICE on her own family if Trump said to smh
2024-11-05 0
I'm surprised she has illegal family here that she has not reported to ICE.
2024-11-02 0
Are her family members causing a problem? If he comes in I hope ICE stops her daily.

It doesn't always snow in Vancouver; some years like the last 2 years we had NO snow at all. But yes, it still gets cold and sometimes icy so make sure you have a winter coat, mittens or gloves and boots. Ear muffs are used by some while others wear a warm hat and sometimes there's a hat attached to your coat so that makes it easier. Stock up on either regular table salt or you can buy a heavier type of salt especially used to sprinkle where you want the ice to melt; like your driveway. Your car will need winter tires too and the guys at any gas station can put them on for you for a reasonable price while you wait. I'd also recommend buying a heating pad for your bed....one that covers the entire bed....it's just oh so nice to turn it on to high a while before climbing in; it feels like heaven and you'll be asleep real fast. When there's 2 people in a bed they can each adjust their side to whatever the degree of heat they want. Good night.......
