Why you are spreading hate for students. When you should criticize the Canadian government and colleges. Why the government accepted so many visas at first place. I was there, vancouver, around 2018 to before covid, I feel they might have gotton the welfare wrong. my salary after tax,heath insurance is 40% left to settle all my living expenses. and who benefits? eg. drug addicts wait for free drugs every morning, a women keep boring kids to get free welfare, this I heard- a refugee with 3 wives and 12 kids got at least a free house and van courtersy of the local govt, a newly minted immigrant citizen also gotten $1200 senior welfare. Just felt that normal working folks are getting a very short stick. Also not sure if the free university education is all that good, it uses a lot of tax money, but higher earnings go to labour jobs like a roofer could earn $150k vs a business admin graduate earing $60k avg .

Every third person that you meet in Canada in 20 years will be from South Asia. Most of us are economic immigrants and came here to live a happy peaceful prosperous life and contribute to the economy in the form of taxes. The fact you have to pay a couple HUNDRED bucks a month is crazy! We have extra coverage with our jobs for chiro, massage, dental work, but i NEVER paid that much for it. And like I said, the work insurance is for extras, not basic care. I'm on disability so no work insurance and i haven't paid a dime even for major surgeries that meant 2 seeks in the hostital, 2 days ICU, rehab, meds, home care. That's all covered by gvmt (Yes by our taxes, but we actually don't pay more taxes than you) . Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

As a Canadian living in the USA, I know I am not a citizen, I pay my taxes and keep my status up to date. My son had an administrative issue in his last year of college, he had to go back to Canada for 6 months, it delayed his graduation by one year and delayed his ability to work in the USA. You follow the rules and file all the paperwork

So if an immigrant can get a Canadian citizen tax payer funded job the government will let them stay. Cool sounds about right par for the course for our government. Imagine going to another country, going to school there, failing, then demanding handouts from their country. U mad yet? If the government won't send them home, Canadian citizens will create innovative solutions.

As a Canadian past middle age with health issues, I lost couple of my jobs to these younger international students with fake papers during & after Covid as the employers know they can just pay them minimum wage for a heavy equipment operator job. Now going back to a service industry as my health issues dictate & doctor’s’ orders I now have to slow down what was decade & half ago the wage was substantial to live on is now below it’s just minimum wage because employers now can get away to just hire these students at minimum, with most of them came here under false pretence as students but in reality take jobs & decent lives from hardworking tax paying Canadians, I know we’re immigrants here too, if you’re not native then you’re an immigrant eh, but these people are swindlers undermining our very lives.

Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

The truth about grey Canada is about depression, no sun but freezing temperature, unaffordable houses, expired food and unaffordable to buy groceries in stores, HWYs traffic that make your blood pressures go all the way up before reaching to point B, the worst health systems in the world, Taxes are very high, Fuel gas is so high, Car insurance is rip off and good luck in finding a job.

Canada sucks. Lived here my whole life. 34 years near Toronto. Here's a list of other stuff not mentioned.\n1) terrible school system. Basically go private or subject your kids to liberal ideology and creative learning which puts math and literacy scores at a 20 year low.\n2) terrible Healthcare system. You can wait in line for 1 hour at a walk in clinic. 6 hours at emergency. There's hardly any doctors working.\n3) terrible transit. The public transit is outdated. The roads are always busy with 3 year long construction projects. They actively reduce road lanes to add in bicycle lanes, that are only uses half the year because no one rides a bicycle in -10 degree C. But yeah, we'll still plow the bike lane with tax payer $.\n4) increase in crime. More recent development but lets say it started picking up during the lockdowns in 2020. A lot of immigrants that don't give a f about the law. They don't give a f about the police. They get out on bail the next day. They do crime in broad daylight. It's insane. I don't feel safe. Plus, it's hard to own firearms in canada. You can't protect yourself.\n5) no cultural cohesion. The culture sucks. Bland, boring, fake.\n\nHonestly, stay away from Canada. The only thing it had going for it was it polite and safe. But now it's a crime spree out there. Last I heard, 55 car jacking happen everyday.

You forget to mention that the high skilled immigrants that go to Canada actually bring lots and lots of income taxes to Canada, as they occupy highly paid jobs that get the state 54% in taxes ?

How many people are writing their government weekly about #ubi now? Going to town halls and speaking out about #ubi? How many people really care about others besides themselves? There are single working self employed people who live minimally but are expected to pay way higher taxes than those with family getting many subsidies for having more kids. Universal basic income us a human right. All yoir basic shelter food transport health and dental should be all included in a human right, but everyone is doing little to pressure the government on these basic points. Previously the low cost airlines kinda was a choice, but these days the tax on flight deliberately increased by German government, and there are not much cheap flights left, better to cross the border and fly from there. Also I find it not fair to compare Germany and Canada as their areas are different. Definitely not to compare with Singapore.\nI heard that flight in Canada are very expensive, but if I would live in Vancouver I would prefer to go to Seattle over the border for a weekend rather than going to Toronto on the other side of the continent. Car option in Canada I assume is more affordable that Germany. The German gas price(for cars), or energy in general considered to be one of the most expensive in the World. Also the expenses to get a car license, people are just saying that it's easier and cheaper to fly over to USA get car driving license there and come back. In general with all the pros and cons, Canada seems better when compared to Germany, I saw several people left from Germany to Canada, and only 1 from Canada to Germany(his main reason was high property prices, and German were surprised because of such reason, the prices risen in Germany as well, except maybe for rural areas).\n\nAlso to make it fare when comparing Toronto better to compare it to Berlin, not just to any city in Germany. I think there will the same homelessness and drug issues in Berlin.

I’ve been in Canada for over 24 years and I have never seen it like this in my life!\nThe main cause of the majority of issues is the housing crisis.\n\nWhat a lot of you might not be aware of is that we have not been building homes to keep up with the demand for over two decades. That’s why the price for housing has increased astronomically. And then our government decided to basically allow unfettered immigration in order to take advantage of the new immigrants’ money so they can use it to fund the Canadian Pension Plan.\n\nJust an FYI, the way CPP is funded is that the current group of working people are paying for the current group of retired seniors. And due to the lack of childbirths and people living longer, the CPP can no longer afford to take care of all the seniors in its system. Thus, the government devised a plan to have more people coming here so as to milk the money they have. Actually, they’ve even gone to the extent to basically allow seniors to be willingly euthanized… it’s absolutely bonkers.\n\nBut anyway, I digress… so then with housing at astronomical prices, you’re now pushing out the poor people onto the streets, causing homelessness. \n\nAnd when people are homeless, the average person will do drugs to escape reality and commit crimes to survive. Which is why it’s now increasingly dangerous in public spaces. \n\nThen, the transportation also never accounted for such a massive increase in population. At least not in Toronto. Which is also causing major inconvenience to go anywhere. \n\nIt used to be that if you lived in the suburbs, you could drive into Toronto pretty quickly but now, it takes like an hour and a half to two hours, making it extremely difficult to get around. And also, hard to take advantage of the “lower” housing prices in the suburbs.\n\nBut that’s not all. Part of the issue is that the Trudeau government wants to no longer have Canada use our oil and gas overnight, which is causing the increase in gas prices. Many Canadians still rely on gas because electric cars are not efficient in Canadian weather and are simply too expensive for your average person. And yet they cut off our supply of oil and gas which causes the price inflation of transport and anything that requires to be moved such as groceries and supplies.\n\nAnd don’t get me started on how our healthcare system is falling apart… even though we pay some of the highest taxes in the world…

In Canada, the major centers are too expensive. However, Canada is one of the easier countries for foreigners to come in and stay long term and make a decent living, especially from countries like the Philippines and India. If they are highly skilled though, there are better opportunities. Just don't talk about homelessness and say it is one of the reasons no to come to Canada from the Philippines. Homeless and slums are quite prevalent all over the Philippines. Taxes however are ridiculously high in Canada - but this socialist slant is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Foodbanks are bullshit! I hear people walking with some bags out of the food bank and going in expensive cars. People taking advantage of it. This stu**id government provides too many benefits. Yes we have to pay for this by taxes. Then people take of advantage of it

A Canadian here who moved to the USA back in the 1990's. Back then, and even more so today, it was pointless with the Canadian tax structure to work hard and make higher income. So I moved to the USA, worked my ass off in a progressive tax structure and am now in a place of happiness and freedom in retirement. I visit Canada often enjoying a great exchange rate. It's heartbreaking to see everyone either work like crazy to be left with almost nothing after taxes, or my unemployed friends get almost as much after-tax on welfare who complain about how the schools, taxes and government service are going to immigration. I hope Canada can start developing an identity and work towards something more positive than simply growing the government unions.

The answer: No one will. It's like Justin Trudeau is actively trying to ruin the country.

Trash thrown everywhere. Driving laws completely broken. Fireworks going off till 4am and the trash left in the parks and fields all over from their celebrations. Million dollar homes going up but only for renting out every room in the house with people that don't care of the landscape and keeping the area clean. Crime is up multiple times over than it's ever been. Jobs are being taken over with poor service being paid cheaper wages or under the table avoiding the taxes. Driving without a license or paying insurance. Fake licenses, fake IDs. Oh yes it's all happening and happening so fast. This is being spread even towards the north now hitting all the small towns with their real estate signs being planted in just about every corner you can drive to.

All state driven economies with large state workers employment that keeps growing year by year that go to vote 100% for their paycheck as others do not go to vote because everyone is corrupt etc look exactly like this. At first everything booms and shines, money are flowing for everyone as the governement starts bribing the citizens, but after a while everything goes down and the only ones that keep the wealth is the state sector which, in turns, starts to act like full time lobbyists for the corporations although paid with the general public taxes! Competitivity starts to shrink, everyone dreams at working for the state, public deficit grows year by year, the country borrows more and more money from the markets and submits to lenders and their economic views...you get to work in the private sector more for less, you are told to retire later, public services like school, medicine etc decline the better the paid state workers that do the jobs are...and add to that a general policy toward mass immigration of all nations with no checks regarding abilities or skills that gets citizenship pretty fast to add votes for the same elite that captured the state and everything becomes unbearable!

Why don't you ask the natives how they view the demographic changes? Why do you feel, as a white man, that you are entitled to live in this land and they are not? This land is for those who come legally, contribute to the economy, and pay their taxes. If you think that being white makes you more entitled, then that is supremacism and racism. In that case, you're in for a long life, my friend. You will live a life filled with hate because these people are going nowhere unless you are planning a mass deportation behind the scenes that we don’t know about.

If you are going to discuss the carbon levy (tax as phrased here), you need to mention the rebate which most Canadians receive which actually provides a net profit for most households. The underlining issue wealth inequality. The middles class is being attacked and they don’t even know it.\n\nIf there’s no legislation or bill to stop rich from buying middle class asset it is going to get worse. The rich is always going to have money. \n\nAnswer is to nationalise the housing market. That way you can build homes and sell it or rent for a affordable price.\n\nImmigration is a scape goat. The issue is tax the rich and wealthy elite.

Trudeau has not done anything to help Canadians. Blah blah blah … raise taxes…. blah blah blah … raise taxes.\nWe’re way past the point of simple distraction and buying votes with last minute policies before an election which has always been the Liberal playbook. \nWhat we need is responsible government. \nTrudeau must go! I’m going broke paying for simple groceries because of this fool!
