Europe and America intervening in the internal affairs of other countries and starting wars meant, of course, taking in immigrants.

I was in the security workforce. It was inundated with permit workers. They all drove new cars, had apple watches, expensive cell plans, and would moan about not getting enough hours. Security companies hire huge forces of them. Security companies can use and abuse them as they feel vulnerable to begin with being in a foreign country. I wouldn't tolerate the treatment and of course was weaned out. Corrupt. Many contracts lost as management just sends anyone to a shift. Half are tiny women with no training and were passed through without the standard 40 hours security licence training but a crash course one day course for the permit workers. Illegal all around.

As a white Brazilian, I would say my experience was quite good (I've returned home less than 1 month ago). \n\nApart of some obvious jokes about the 7-1, I've never faced anyone who made me feel unwelcome or undesired, quite the opposite in many situations. Being of German descent certainly made things better. Other white Brazilians I've met told me they had similar experiences.\n\nUnfortunately, immigrants from other Global South countries and non-white Brazilians probably have very different experiences, for the worse. I've heard many unpleasant comments from my German friends and colleagues regarding turks, Arabs, africans and other immigrants from the South of the world. It's certainly a problem for many skilled workers who are not white and could contribute for the country, but they can't thanks to racism.\n\nIn my view, apart of racism, another great problem in Germany when it comes to foreign skilled workers is the lack of digitalization in the country and the bad Internet. Many jobs require good internet connection and digitalization, which are not always provided by the Germans , unlike virtually all the other European countries including much poorer ones. \n\nHaving said that, Germany has many good-hearted, kind and welcoming people (except the racists, of course), and a fantastic culture.

David,\n\nYiu need to understand the scam happening right under the nose of govt of Canada in the name of fake colleges getting Punjabi sikh students to Canada. \n\nNo doubt that these students, mainly Sikhs from Punjab, are definitely wrong and don't qualify for the residency but so is the govt of Canada's politicians.\n\nThese students must go back and sue the agents who cheated them by selling the useless courses with an assurance of residency upon completion.

Nothing is political in here. If you open your eyes and ears you will see and know the reason WHY. Of course canadians dont have the same rights with temporary workers. Canada is for canadians and not indians or muslims etc. So stop and just live with reality.

They must leave. They are adding to our housing problem. \nThere's no jobs for our own youth. Between these students and the temporary foreign workers and the illegal immigrants, Canada's social programs are bursting at the seams. Some of them have no shame in using our food banks and bragging about it online. They are supposed to be living independently. Of course, I wouldn't care either if I was from India. \nThey have to go. There's waaay to many of them.

Are schools there for education or profit? If they can no longer afford to run without foreign students let them reduce their expenditures or close down frivolous courses.

You can never compare India and Canada .can Canada be able to run India with diversity in religions, languages, population etc. answer is NO. India is a vibrant democracy and with different challenges have become a power house and going towards 3 trillion economy. Of course Canada is lucky to have natural resources , no enemies on their borders and a big brother like USA in the south .

The Canadian visa system has been scammed by unscrupulous travel agents from Punjab and Gujarat. Its a mystery as to how illiterate villagers join Canadian colleges and get PR. The failed immigration system is answerable to the voters and taxpayers. Stop this scam. Deport the students who have done their course. PR is not a natural process after college.

Liberal government needs to fix the problem it created with immigration. Canadians do not want their taxes going to support unlegitimate refugees or students who feel that they should automatically become Canadian citizens after finishing their Mickey Mouse courses. There are enough Canadian citizens qualified and well-educated to fill in Canadian jobs. Canadian citizens have been negatively impacted by the Liberals decisions on immigration.

These colleges brought in international students on made up courses and made billions. However, all these students staying back caused housing crisis and unemployment to Canadians.

Firstly your country has a very stupid policy on international students. All most all of them come there for economic reasons. They enroll in stupid courses which in any case will not contribute to your country. Why can’t you have a system where their attendance in classrooms is kept a track of and any one having less than say 75% is warned and after three warnings sent home. Once they successfully complete their course, they are given six months to stay and then sent back. Keep only the ones who can be of asset to Canada. Else your country will soon become another country like the UK is now.

Most of these International students spend $30 to $40,000/- to come here and settle down . The courses which are offered by these no name Candian institutes in which these people enroll into are of ZERO value back home and even here in Canada there is not much value. Purpose is just to settle down and every one knows that . Its just a huge scam and everyone is a part of it . I wish they could have used this money to initiate a start up back home .

Since Doug Ford allowed liquor in non liquor regulated stores, and you need to be of legal ID age to purchase liquor, how does anyone under the legal age to obtain employment now? \nNow, one has to take the Server course in to work these stores, and that’s $50 out of pocket, to even have a cashier, stock room or floor employee employment.

Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

The government should change the rule to let international students into the country, beside getting accepted to the accredited schools , they also need to have a guarantor living here who will guarantee for their well-being ( including housing and food ) during their courses.

Hes acting as though he doesn't know how immigration got so high. Wasn't it his plan to bring 1.5 million immigrants by 2026 i believe? Nut if course he was looking for high skill people but the opportunity to come in on visitor visa and switch to work permit caused oman influx of Indians he didn't see coming.

They were brought here to help with the construction, healthcare, manufacturing and agriculture industries. Instead, most, if not all, entered the customer service and food industries. If you went to McDonald’s for a steak and fries, of course you’d be disappointed. We need help in building more houses and farm more produce… instead, they swarmed to take away more housing increasing the rent without building more and food from the food bank meant for Canadian families in dire need. DO NOT BLAME INTERNATIONAL STUDENT. There are agents working for all colleges and universities as a recruiter for student. They receive commission from universities. How many billions all colleges and universities made in last 10 years from charging double tuition fee. Investigate all Canadian consulate employees world wide to find out how much money was flowing in corrupt system. Our failure in system and now we are blaming students. colleges created courses to get more students and make more money.... and guess what... that course has no value....like networking course for IT. student who came in was fully trained in networking....he just wanted PR in Canada....

I have friends who are working as teachers and hydro staff. They still think the liberals are the best thing since sliced bread. Of course, these big unions will vote LIB. Hell the janitors at hydro are making $100k / teachers get one third of the year off & with use of PE days, always taken on Friday or Monday, they get twice the # of long weekends as US regular folks. Selling LMIA owners of subway, gas stations, circle k, convince stores owners made millions till today. No wonder why asian have more homes than actual locals? We definitely needed help in filling in the deficit of employees that are needed in Canada! It is a shame that ALL political parties did not solve the housing issue which we knew was going to be a problem, many decades ago, even well before the Harper government! This is not rocket surgery! LOL\nIn Northern Ontario we have a LOT of Indian immigrants. All the ones I have met are very well educated even though they are working in the service industries! I know several Indian Canadians who are Doctors, Teachers and Engineers! Almost all of my experiences have been positive! Of course it is human nature to always highlight issues, for example: I caught one group of people throwing garbage in a parking lot, and immediately notified them that they had dropped something, and even followed them with the garbage. One of the group stated, it was just trash. I told him there was a garbage can right over there, and I just KNEW that they did not want to throw it just lose on the ground, and wanted to help keep our town clean. They said sorry and politely picked it up and placed it in the garbage can. Hopefully lesson learned! I politely and respectfully spoke out, to a good resolution.\nMy parents were immigrants from war-torn Germany. I know ALL about prejudice for new immigrants. Our parents being German-Canadian at a time right after WW2, where MOST Canadians had an Uncle, a Father, a Grandfather or someone they knew who had fought and some died because of Germans! Just chill. There is no mass deportation. There is a ban to entrances as two large conflicts growing to the loss control point. In 1941 we closed boarders for immigration for a year. Same thing will be around going on now. Strangely, because, the amount of illegals we get is huge and small relating to the conflicts. Why deportation is impossible? It is. The child may get a letter of apology, good compensation and be sent home. Education in Canada is expensive. The amount of kids who can not run budget of studies is great, These fake students stuck in our kids professional growth. I would have moved to China but I moved to Australia to be in Australia. Universities recruit foreign students because they can screw triple fees out of them. Many of these students have such poor English that they can't understand the course material and have to pay others to write their papers. Universities know this perfectly well and turn a blind eye so they can retain their cash cows, and instructors are pressured to pass them. The modern university is a neoliberal, money-grubbing disgrace, top-heavy with useless, overpaid administrators. I speak as a sometime university instructor who quit in disgust.

The Canadian government is importing record numbers of Indians (mostly Punjabis) into Canada to the point that entire communities are being demographically transformed, there is zero assimilation and zero incentive to assimilate. Here, in the small city of Shebrooke, Qc, it looks as if at least a tenth of the population is African. One would almost never see any African (outside of the area around the University) just 10 years ago. And many of them drive cars. I am sure they are getting tons of money, in addition to free healthcare, free welfare and free education, ,of course.
