I am from India , 80 % of these Indians are from the states of Punjab, Gujarat and Hariyana and they mostly come to Canada with IELTS and degree certificates obtained via improper channels . I have hardly seen any one of them actually take a serious effort towards education . Canada is doing a very bad job filtering international students. The smart ones are being absorbed by the USA, predominantly from Southern India; while Canada mostly attracts the lower tire group from North India with lower productive value to economy.

Highly skilled immigrants from India are always welcome anywhere, like in the US where they have added tlmutiple times to the economy.
