I am a 24 year veteran of the Air Force and I fully support two genders keeping trans people out of the military for the same reason people with certain pre-existing conditions can't enlist.

I was in the Navy 1976-1996. I came in when women were looked down on by sailors. They had their reasons, but things changed in the 80s. Women served on ships, filled most rates, flew planes, captained commands on shore and at sea (surface and sub). There were issues with gays, and now there's this. I have always thought that as long as one can do the job and not discredit the Navy, have at it and I'm glad to serve with you. USN / USNR E-8 retired

I am post transition. And I tried to join before trump got elected in 2024. And was turned down. This gives me hope for multiple reasons. Thanks

I served for 6 years in the Air Force and I lean mostly right on transgender issues (keep biological men out of female sports, there are only 2 genders, etc), but I'm hard pressed to understand why people who are trans can't serve their county - I don't see reasonable justification for that. It doesn't make sense.

Can anyone give me 3 reasons HOW allowing transgender people in our military increases the chances of success in combat? Answers that include anything about protecting their feelings does not count. The enemy does not care about your feelings, nor does a projectile meant to cause harm.

Reasonable doubts. If you are a frontline troop who have to stay at the frontline for prolong period of time, in the extreme event that you are cut off from supply line, what are you gonna do? What will happen if you stop taking the med? Will that affect your combat capability?

I am so sorry to every trans service member. There is absolutely no reason to believe that someone is unfit to serve because they are trans. To any trans service members out there who read this, I'd just like to make sure you know that there are many of us out there who greatly appreciate your service to our country.

Aside from their physical medical needs and hygiene problems these people got mental problems , their inability to accept reality is normally just tip of iceberg . If i'm in the trenches of war i don''t want to depend on them and frankly they don't want to depend on me cause of that . Also women don't need to be in trenches either . It severely idegrades the reasons a man fights in 1st place and is more mentally damaging , disheartening , demoralizing . Could be reasons for many lost battles in next real war .

the reason there saying is people are getting there is to get the sugery then they are out for months and then they arnt able to do some active duty someone sajd. \n\nmaybe someone that has been transitioned for awhile or would be different.

Can't go to battle on the front line in some other Country when you require medication on a regular basis, it may not be available for weeks or even months. While I do not condone what she did I also do not agree that buying housing as an investment should be allowed either. If this country had a surplus of housing then investment could be allowed. However this is not and has not been the case. This is one reason why many Canadians can not afford to purchase housing. Invest in something that does not hurt the economy and those around you. Colombia’s request is reasonable and fair, I don’t understand why the Trump administration would retaliate. They clearly haven’t coordinated with their Colombians counterparts and things fell apart. Why does the world have to suffer because of the whims of one person?

I can't believe that so many young children can be seen here! That's such a dangerous situation for parents to put them in! Apply for citizenship the right way so you can bring your family safely! Then, when your family is here with proper documentation, you'll be able to raise them in security without fear of deportation. I hate to see children going through this. They're at the mercy of their parents' judgement & things could be so much better for them if they weren't dragged through traumatic situations like this, just so their parents can cut corners. Why in the world can't you apply for citizenship the proper way? If your criminal record is the reason that you can't, well that's on you. If there are records of you pulling crap like this, you'll probably never be able to get here the proper way. Instead of choosing to be an actual American citizen, you'd rather choose to live your life as a fugitive & force your kids to live that way too? Give your family a real chance here by following the proper process to become citizens. You'll get a very different reception here.
