Canadians just like the old Soviets have come to rely on the Government and debt. Canada is fake. The money is fake, unions are fake, the press is fake, medical system, education, all fake fake fake. I am white, Christian, male and I knew a few years ago that in Canada there was no future for people like me. I left for SE Asia and I, from the bottom of my heart, have never been happier. The Government here is not in your life from birth to death like Trudeau and the government in general.

I left Canada six years ago back to Uzbekistan after nine years of life in Canada. It was the best decision I have ever made. Old stock Canadians are the most xenophobic and chauvinistic people I had ever seen. Tired of being treated like a piece of trash and imbecile, although I have MD and MS degrees. For educated people from any middle income country like Uzbekistan, immigration to Canada is a scam and modern day slavery. Toronto looks like a zoo, not a world class city. I don’t understand why Canada accepts so many immigrants if there are already hundred of people applying for a stupid position at Tim Hortons and every third of them have PhD.

These problems have gotten a lot worse in the last 8 years. I think the main issue is immigration. We are bringing in more people than what we can deal with. I am not against immigration, but just like all the other things the current federal government has done, they are doing immigration wrong. They think immigration is good, so tthey open the hose fully to bring in as many as possible. This is a bad strategy. They should be bringing in a lot less immigrants and that would lessen the housing issues. I think that this is destabilizing our economy to the point where it could have a dire outlook on Canada. I wouldn't be surprised if some provinces leave confederation. What we need is a balanced approach to all things governmental. Not a LEFT or RIGHT solution, a BALANCED CENTRIC solution. Time to vote differntly.

I stopped visiting Canada 40 years ago because of insane or corrupt border control policies. I traveled to Canada from California to record an album for a popular rock star. My crew number 4 people and we had reserves a month for basic tracking in a studio there. We bought our own reels of 3 inch wide recording tape because the studio wanted twice the rate as normal and since my studio was a distributor for the mastering tapes we brought from my own inventory. Each reel of tape was 3 lbs and brought 30 reels. We got to customs and they said we owed money for importing the tape. Normally a reel would have been $180, and customs wanted $38,000 x 20, and would not let us retrieve it to take it back to the US side of the border. How can a tape worth $180 suddenly have duty of $38,000?\nIt was explained to me as the Potential Value of the tape which meant AFTER a hit song was recording in it. Most recordings are total losses and the tape cant used on a new project even if properly bulk-erased. They expected me to pay on the spot $760,000 in duties. I gave up and left the tape with them. I called the artist and said we could not do the project in Canada and we went back to California. The artist came to us a few months later and the result was a minor hit, and probably barely made its production cost since the label only distributed it in Canada. I talked to an international trade lawyer about what happened and he said customs officials were wrong in Canada but they are given full latitude with no appeal so his advice was never take anything over the border that I did not mind being confiscated. Sometimes they would let it in because it was going back out in a month, but likely they sold it off and pocketed the money. The US is corrupt on a federal level but Canada is corrupt on the local level. I moved out of the US 24 years ago have a much higher quality of life than is even possible in the US, and live very cheaply. Total cost of living with a very active social and cultural life impossible to duplicate in the US which as some of the least options for culture. And my cost of living is $1500 a month, less than utilities alone for one house in California, and that is for 2 people. Last month for example I attended world class opera, ballet and symphonies 9 times, and went out to dinner, in jazz clubs or dance clubs, visited12 top museums, and it was still under $1500 for the month. A pair of tickets to the MET in NYC for lower grade performance, sets, orchestra ad theater, was $1800!! $600 for tickets to drama for 2. Here there 237 drama theaters within walking distance of my city center home, and can walk anywhere at any time of day and be safe due to VERY low crime rates. Free medical is good. I am not citizen but still I had an operation and 10 days in a vip single room for $5300 and despite my insurance I had been paying back in California $824.month, it was going to cost me out o pocket $500,000 and one day in a recovery 12 bed room, and require paid nursing attendant for 30 days. The results were great and was treated like king.\nCanadians have lost control of their government but Americas are screwed regardless, with lower than international standards for everything, with crime, corruption in Washington, extreme cost of living, no access to culture, few if any safe parks. My adopted city is not only far more beautiful than any US city, my GF can walk, alone, anywhere in a city of 7mil at any time of day through any of the 600 beautiful parks open 24/7..at 3am. There are no homeless, and 80% of those over 20yo own their home clear of debt. No college debt despite twice the % of people having degrees. The rest of the world caught up and has surpassed the US and Europe in quality of life. \n\nI have only been back to the US 5 times in 24 years and each time I am shocked by how much the entire society has declined while most of the world outside of Europe, Canada, US, UK or Australia have dramatically improved.\nEvery year since 2008 more Americans leave the US to live elsewhere than legal immigrants arrive.

We left over a year ago because of the hate and hostility everywhere. The attacks against unvaccinated people was disgusting. We toured the world for a year and everywhere else is better. We now live in France and it is much better. Get out while you can

We will get 2023 stats in 2024 but according to 2022 data about 50K people left and separately Govt stated that 500K people were admitted as Permanent residents. Add international students and work permit holders on top of it. So overall more people arrived in Canada.

Born in Canada, I left Canada 10 years ago for SE Asia. Canadian Salary was good but after Tax and poor exchange rate, Purchasing power is no good, Work life balance feels like slavary. Weather is harsh. I wouldn't want my kids exposed to the school and social system. \n\nSocial justice and westeren guilt has gone wild.\n\nAlot of people seemed unhappy.\n\nMarriage laws made me SWARE to stay single / Marry abroad.\n\nThere are however plenty of good things about Canada too of course.\n\nI may return if we get a sensable goverment someday.

Many recent immigrants I have known have left Canada because the cost of living is too high. From my experience they work very hard, usually working 60+ hours a week. After some time they crunch the numbers and realize no matter how hard they try they will not get anywhere so they leave. For those born in Canada we find ourselves being chased out of our hometowns because it is too expensive to live there. For myself it was either stay in Vancouver, surrendering more than half of your income to rent or move out of the city to buy an apartment. In the major cities there is a mass exodus of young people and the strategy has been to replace that exodus with immigration. The problem is that is not sustainable as now new immigrants, seeking a better life are not finding it in major Canadian cities. For those who already own property in the lower mainland the selfish mentality is to do whatever you can to deny construction, thus maintaining the scarcity and value of what little land/housing there is in desirable areas. Zoning laws are beginning to change but progress is slow and municipalities have failed to keep up with infrastructure so the growing pains is going to be immense. It's beautiful here now doubt but if I had no ties and a solid financial footing I would have left long ago. Generations ago you could show up to Canada with no money and thrive if you were willing to work hard. Now hard work won't get you anything.

A lot of people think Toronto and Vancouver are the only places to live. I lived in Smithers BC and wish I never left. Stunning local. Thunderbay Ontario is an amazing place, there Souris MB is fabulous...and the list goes on.

My family and I left Canada for Mexico a few years ago. It was the best thing we ever did and I wish we had done it sooner. Both of our families have been in Canada since before it was even a country. It was time to move on to greener pastures. If you move away from your home country, it takes half the time of your actual age to understand, & get used to the country you move into. \n1) Ikea also offers assembly service for which you have to pay. \n2) home owner/landlord didn’t improve noise isolation issue of their floorings. It’s normal practice of most lazy landlords who only rents their basement for reducing their mortgage cost. Or probably didn’t even know that it is doable.\n3) Employment- I am glad to see you found a skilled workplace somewhat related to your career. If you had to go through odd jobs, you would have left Canada within a month. \n4) Hospitals- Indian Government hospitals works the same way. Priorities go to life threatening patients first. But as an ex-Indian, we love spending arms and legs of money. Our loved ones survive going in private hospitals without insurance. \n5) socializing & jokes- I think you should’ve moved to Brampton so you can be part of the ghettoized community we have created there. so what day by day their crime rates are going high, we can at least understand the joke we can laugh on there. And there is no home sickness feeling.\n6) Weed!! - India has legalized alcohol, tobacco consumption. It does not mean anyone can go buy this. Even to buy legal weed in Canada you have to show your ID. At least that process is followed properly here.\n7) Vegetarian- if you want to follow a diet like this, all you have to request the restaurant to swap the meat with either potato hashbrowns, or if they have soya bean patties. \n8) Struggle- struggle is part of life. There is no requirement of whining about it. I had a conversation with my Uber driver last week, he was a immigrant from the middle east himself, we were both upset about people coming over here and not integrating into Canadian culture and society. He said he came here so his children could grow up in peace and prosperity, but every day he sees people trying to make Canada more like the place he left.? Even new Canadians from those parts of the world are saying we need to slow down, take in less people, and only allow those who want to live in peace and give their children the opportunity of freedom in Canada while keeping out those who refuse to integrate and even worse are actively trying to destroy Canadian culture (Ex no more Halloween or Christmas in schools)

Coming to Canada means that you are coming to integrate into Canadian values. People believe that everything would be free because of the lies people are being told. I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!

I have talked to Mexican people in food lines and one lady said her mother took her over to a boy's home when she was 12 years old to sleep with him so she would get pregnant as a little girl and then they could get monetary assistance. \n\nShe told me she had 2 children before she graduated from high school and when she left to live on her own, her mother was upset because she would stop getting checks.\n\nI talked to another person, a guy in a food share line and he was saying he was proud to be Mexican but doesn't want to go back. I said why and he said because they don't get free food and assistance there and I told him so you are not born here but come here to USE our resources? He told me California was Mexico before and I said Yes but where were YOU BORN? AND. HE SAID MEXICO. Didn't watch the vid yet but the vibes are just completely dead. And as a white person, I just feel left out. It feels like its a city completely designated for international indian and middle eastern immigration. Politics are batshit crazy and far left as well. Truly don't know how I am surviving at this point. I think montreal was shown to be much more affordable and is arguably a better city. Might be the move for people if you want to stay in Canada.

... And here is why:\n1. Insanely expensive housing with next to none disposable income left in the pocket. \n2. Inability to get into the real estate market unless $$$ was brought in as an investment. This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I have seen a steady decline in Canada since 1998. Things get worse every year.\nAmen to that. I'll be visiting Lviv in 2025 for the first time since 2000 to check on my apartment in the city centre, not far from my Alma Mater LPI. Well, hopefully people who are leaving are going to a country where they have it better than here, they all left those countries for a reason, and our social programs exceed just about anybody else’s, yes, it’s expensive, no life isn’t easy, and yes, we have winter. If someone cannot exist within that, then they probably best to go back where they’re from and deal with the consequences there.

People immigrate to have better lives. When they come to Canada and realize it will take years for them to find the same job they had back in their own countries (if they are lucky enough to find one), they decide to return. People immigrate to build lives that they would not have been able to build in their countries. They don't come here to start from scratch and live in conditions that are worse than what they have left behind. They don't want to have to wait months for a simple medical procedure. They don't want to pay such insane rents. People immigrate to live more comfortable lives. If they work and pay taxes, they want to see the effect of their tax money on improvements. If the medical system is free but people have to stay with illness for a long time because wait times are too high, then what is the benefit of it? We bring in doctors and don't let them work. We bring in nurses and don't let them work. The same goes for teachers and many other professionals. If a country needs immigrants, it also needs their expertise and knowledge. You either need people or you don't. Stop this double standard.

Trudeau government is creating the inflation and then increasing the interest rates to fight against the inflation. \nAs a result, the government managed to take away young people goal of buying a house. Trudeau destroyed so many family values that even his wife left him.

We left where we were from cuz we didn’t want certain values imposed onto us ,onto our identity, our freedom as a human being was under threat then only to move here and mobbed by another group of tricksters . Left for financial stability that is nowhere to be found in this country now . I am not just saying immigrants we all facing these problems I know that but it’s just if one has a way out or can afford a way out they are taking that route . People I know personally about 10-20% of them have either left or are planning to leave in next couple years .

I know a lot from working all over canada and they come for the free money and health care and school, as soon at they are legal canadians every single one I know/knew left because they don't want to pay the high tax and cost of living, 1 guy I was friends with for a year showed me what he got to come here and it was = to 10 years pay for me at that time. Then he sold the house and cars and left after his temp visa expired, I know of people in AB and on the east coast working here and living 5 and 6 guys in a 3 bedroom and they send every cent back to their own country so they can buy land and housing, For them it's a great get rich quick plan, The one guy I knew for a year offered to pay to have my car fixed and I said no but he insisted it was free on his free tax payer supplied credit cards, If I was not from here and they offered me all this money and stuff Id be here doing the same thing, 5 years here makes you rich when you go home. 2 bedroom condo in Mexico is $85g so if I offered you a good job that will get you a house paid off and lifetime of saving in just 5 years but you have to live in another country would you do it. 100% I would Im looking at my adult kids who will never own a home if they stay here vs the people coming over for 5 years then their set, All my kids are planning to move to a new country for this very reason they are saving and then getting out when the depression hits.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Taxes are high definitely and what I feel is you’re working to make someone else’s life easier. \n(P.S: people who’ve stayed in Canada will understand who I’m implying to)\nNo one wants to be your freind, scope of socializing is zero coz mostly it’s cold round the year so everyone hardly come out, especially in Northern provinces like Yukon, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.\nHealthcare is a joke. If you feel sick and not well and you wanna see a doctor be prepared to wait for hours and hours. I once had stomach infection and I had to wait 5 hours till someone could see me. I asked for painkiller at-least so I could bear the pain but they refused that as well. You might well see someone you love dearly and with whole heart die in-front of you and you could do nothing. (I’ve experienced it myself hence saying)\nYou’re a lone survivor who’ll always keep fighting. \nThe only person who can make money here is businesses and high paid jobs which are reserved to Canadians. That’s how Canada’s job market is. Canadians’ first and if there’s something left they’ll look at you. By the amount of money people invest here they can establish a nice business back in their country itself and earn accordingly on own terms. \nMost importantly you’ll cut yourself from all emotional supports like family, freinds etc.\nI was social person back in India who liked making new freinds and memories but it’s nothing like that here. \nAnd it’s the same life, no different.\nYou wake up, dress, eat, go to work, come back, eat, sleep. No different.\nNo fun and nothing. You actually don’t live in present, you live in an expectation of a better tommorow.\nYou’ll always have a smile when you greet someone but I guarantee you no one’s gonna check on you to if you don’t start a conversation even with a simple “Hi”. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. Indeed it’s a beautiful country with lots of beauty and lots to explore but remember everything comes with a cost here. Everything comes with a cost. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. The only reason why they’ll let you in the country is for money and once you’re in you’ll have to keep spending, doesn’t matter if you’re broke or whatever you have to.\nOnce I earn I’ll happily give up my PR status and go back to India as i very well know what the situation is how it’s gonna be in future.\nSo just one piece of advise to every middle class person like me, guys please invest and spend your money wisely coz we know how hard it is to earn and it’s high time Canadians start appreciating what immigrants like us do for them by burning ourselves day and night and start realizing that their past generation once came from some other part of the world as well and settled here. Exactly canada supposed to be what we are lacking in our country, i feel scamed I havent been able to work because, I developed a physical conditions in my colum vertevral that liter and. its taking my life quality and incapacitated me, No only the exams takes month or vene more than a year to have but my Specialist Doctor left Canada, and I was left hanging waiting for a new specilist, its been more than two months and nothing and more that 1 year trying to be diagnosed I am really frustrated and tired of this. And the govetrnment wants to brig more people and can even provide services for the ones that are here. This is somenthing they dont tell when they sell their life style to lure more people into coming here. i dont understand how como Canadians dont complain more about health system they seem to be proud of it even if it doesnt work at all. and Its not free they take alot of tax from my paycheck when I was working.

Because these people came here to get away from some communist dictatorship country and found out its worse then where they left..time to get back on the plane

A know a lot of people who left Canada. To be honest - I myself even considered it. The cost of living is just insane, taxes are too high, housing market is in its worst shape, the stuff they teach kids in school is just absurd (too much focus on diversity and inclusivity). The direction liberals chose for Canada is just wrong on so many levels.

When you run a country through an ideology rather than common sense policies for the people, you destroy everything that worked. Bigger government, no meritocracy pushing the lie of diversity creates an un-unified society. Which is exactly what the Left wants. And Liberals voted for it. All of it.

When my family immigrated to Canada it had integrity, freedom and was respected globally, for me Canada lost this when Canada pushed Manufacturing out of Canada, as far back in the late 70's early 80's - This was the first exodus from Canada, most left and never came back, this is also when Canada stopped competition is all sectors, food and groceries/ banking, insurance/real estate/engineering, this all happened under Pierre Trudeau.\n\nFast forward here we are again under a Trudeau and the exudes is greater, people are not leaving in larger numbers- Affordability/ failed medical system/corruption in government/ lack of completion/ Failed promises/crime/terrorism sympathizing and hate/drugs/ child exploitation/indoctrination/ Gender madness/woke/ immigration/refuges vetting/.....This all happened under the Liberal/NDP cartel and again under another Trudeau.....\n\nNow there is talk about bring in more immigrants, when we can not deal with our current population and the hype of Job jobs is made in Canada only unless you wish to be a Taxi driver/food delivery or be on a government payroll or embrace one of the growth sectors in Government services/Food Bank volunteers, fast food and again as a last resort more taxi drivers....\n\nCanada is broken.

Multicultural = Failed. Here is why (in my opinion) there is no reason to move in any big cities in Canada, and in Canada in general. \n1. Insanely expensive housing with next to none disposable income left in the pocket. \n2. Inability to get into the real estate market unless $$$ was brought in as an investment. This will leave locals and people who were born in Canada left out for good even further. \n3. Extremely competitive job market. Newcomers will have to suffer for a long time to break-in. \n4. Depression and drug addiction is everywhere. It's more deadly than covid but the government can't address the problem because they lose control for good. \n5. Canada is far away from many other places, which makes things worse as you feel trapped in a workcamp with no place to escape. \n6. The cost of living is getting much faster with the salaries significantly behind year after year. \n7. Canada became the country of failed government, failed multiculturalism, too tolerant as a result. \n8. Retirement in Canada will be impossible for 95% unless you agree to live in the middle of the nowhere until depression kills you. \n9. Many who came to Canada 25+ years ago and still around felt trapped. Canada's source of immigration will likely be the poorest communities who will agree to put up with everything listed above just to get out of where they live right now. \n10. Sad, but true. I have seen a steady decline in Canada since 1998. Things get worse every year.

I grew up in Toronto, went to High School in Toronto, Lived and worked in Toronto. I lived on the Danforth, China Town, High Park, The beaches, I left Toronto, I would never set foot in Toronto again. My once great city filled with cultural neighborhoods, restaurants from every corner of the planet, and people who all lived together, respected each other and got along has turned into a divided hate filled shit hole.
