I'm only halfway through but feel I need to comment and well I'm not exactly a new Canadian. But I was born the but grew up in New Zealand. And well why not . I moved over there in 2014 with full rights as a citizen. My trade wasn't recognised. Canada has its own rules about everything. You need to have training to pour drinks in a bar wtf.! But yea I came wanting a better life and well thankfully I wound up in Calgary so eventually I had the money to leave. And come home where know having seen the Canadian shit show I'm killing it here. It saddens me and yes I was that asshole that got trudeau on there cos I seen one rousing speech where he invoked his dad Pierre. And I fell for it. And not to lie I look old Canadian so I fit right in English is my first language and all that. And funnily enough it was the first time in my life where I could say fucking immigrants. It's a brutal place a brutal work climate and well there's a lot that's nice but when it's bad it's dog ear dog. I feel really sad about what's happening, all the mass illegal immigration and yet your a criminal for noticing it. A lot is very wrong, don't get me wrong nz is doing all the same shit too. I went to Canada for prosperity and to change my life lesson I learnt was go home ans do better and that's fucked.

I left in 2022. Mainly because of the cost of everything and the reduction of human rights. In canada you can get assisted suicide for many reasons that aren't fatal. Including poverty and depression.

Every place has its positives and negatives. Canada is beautiful, clean and green. The people are polite and friendly at a superficial level and the infrastructure is great. But for a new immigrant it's very difficult to make new social contacts or even to get a good job. The cost of living is high and housing costs are exhorbitant. The medical system is terrible with people having to wait weeks to meet a specialist \n\n Indian cities are mostly dirty, polluted and chaotic with poor infrastructure. There is rampant corruption and people can be rude and obnoxious especially while driving. But you can get help for everything and living costs are affordable. Plus the social contacts ..family and friends around are priceless. The medical system is way better provided you have some money.

Born and raised in toronto unfortunately I can't afford to get out of this shit hole It has become, to many gangs formed by immigrants. because our justice system gives them a free pass these days but if your born here you! don't!! Great video - so very very true, moved here in 2010, and the decline has been noticeable, especially over the last 5 years. The crime, the trash, the homeless camps, the endless roadworks, the cost of well everything...........I can understand why sooooo many people get disillusioned, oh and throw in the terrific weather we get and I struggle why I'm still here! I was born in Canada. I am now in Thailand. I worked 35 years for a large transportation organization. I am retired and loving living abroad. It is cold in Canada 6 months of the year. Climate change is creating massive forest wildfires every summer now creating horrid air quality issues especially in the west, which is the mist beautiful part of the country in my opinion. I traveled back for a couple of weeks in October 2023 and was in shock over the cost of everything especially considering the recent inflation problem affecting the entire world. I couldn't wait to het back to my life in Thailand. Here there is no racism that I can see. All races and religions are accepted here. I hardly ever wear pants, shorts and short sleeve shirts. I can golf 12 months a year and live very comfortably on my pension. I could not have the same quality of life in my home country and the medical industry makes care here very affordable and accessible. In B.C. I found it extremely difficult to find s family doctor after moving there even to get a comprehensive medical checkup. I love my country of origin but will never return as long as I have the choice. Canada is over taxed, over regulated and very expensive now. These are the facts that created my choice to emigrate.

The whole reason why rent and everything costs so much in a city like Toronto... IS BECAUSE OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES. GET RID OF ALL THOSE AND EVERYTHING WILL COST MUCH LESS. DUH! SIMPLE ECONOMICS: 098.

Let's keep Canada a secular country! \nMuslims are doing their best to change Canada into an Islamic caliphate praying in the middle of busy streets blocking traffic so people can't get to long waited for doctor's appointments or business appointments. People have to stop using rental prices in cities like Toronto and Vancouver. That's like Americans using rental costs in Bel-Air California or Manhattan as an example of what rent costs in America. It's not a realistic portrayal of rental costs. \nHere in Quebec the the annual tax rate is between 26.53% and 53.31%, depending on income. Then you have to consider all the socialist programs that you are forced to pay into, which also sucks up a significant amount on your weekly salary. After that, you must consider that you pay 15% sales tax on almost everything. It's safe to say that half of your yearly earnings, give or take, are taken in taxes and socialized programs. As for salaries, less than 20% of the Canadian population make a 6 figure salary. We're not talking about household income. I am talking about individual income. You're not going to become rich here in Canada! The majority of people who do become rich leave Canada to avoid taxation. Canadians live a life of debt. You will live just balancing your debt to make sure it doesn't get out of control Few Canadians have money in savings without debt. The ones who do have money saved, most of them have debts on top of their savings which is counterproductive in my opinion.

We're trying to survive on this side too. People are losing their jobs, not getting paid enough as everything gets more expensive and don't even get me started on the stupid amount in rent. I understand that they need help or their government sucks but guess what, we need help too and Joe Biden is our president?. Must I say more.

Idk how everyone seems to be confused why we have so much homelessness. Israels national investment firm called black rock has been buying up American housing for years. They were very outspoken about their plans to buy everything, and hold onto it indefinitely while renting it out for very high rates. Every politician has bought 50 or more homes to do this with as well. Tucker carlson has a load of them, as well as every other tv personality. People from other countries stay 10 people per home, and collectively can afford much higher rates than americans living 1 family to a home, again driving rates ever higher. Government is soley responsible for the dollar becoming worthless so quickly. Wages will never keep up. The government makes more money by cramming as many people as possible into the country, directly at the expense of quality of life for the citizens. Nobody is protecting the interests of American citizens. We are all getting robbed blind by predators while we all appear to be blind deaf and dumb. Nothing happening is an accident. Every loser creates a winner somewhere.

This is a very thoughtful and balanced review. As a retired Canadian who had a good job for most of my life, I'm saddened by the decline in almost all areas of life, lifestyle and and people's aspirations in this country. This decline actually seems quite rapid, I would say from 2015 onwards. Housing in major centres was expensive, but it has skyrocketed in the past decade. There has been a decline in many institutions: 1. health-care, especially noticeable since the pandemic that coincided with many boomer medical staff retiring, but also by our sclerotic institutions refusing to enable foreign-trained doctors to work here. Many foreign-trained doctors in the Vancouver area are doing jobs way below their qualifications while many people cannot even get a family doctor. Crazy. Econonically, there seems to have been no plan at all from the government as we exited the pandemic. At least the US had a plan, to 'build back better'. Our government just floats along as if everything is fine, when the decline is very visible especially to older Canadians. We have admitted 1/2 a million people a year from overseas, so our economy should reflect this and show an upswing. But no, we're in a 'technical recession' as of December and probably a real recession as of last week. I have never voted Conservative in my life, but Trudeau is a flaky dimwit with a famous name who has no clue what he is doing. A fool, in fact. He's mismanaged our foreign relations beyond belief, and nothing has improved domestically. When Pierre Poilievre says 'Canada is broken', I believe it. We deserve much better leadership; in Canada's case, the rot does come from the top. Justin the entitled idiot is much more like his mother than his father.\n\nLong rant. Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. I knew some people that came here from France, and although the situation is bad in France, it is still easier to live in France than here and so, they returned.\n\nWe are called a social-communist country by US standard, but the truth is, we have never been so far away from it. People are stressed, angry, broken, and even if we keep making jokes ( that is how we are...) we are all worried about the future of Canada.

Canada's has a very poor healthcare system. If your a politician orrich you can find afford the best of the best in everything, however the restof us can't afford a modest home to live in or affordable healthy food. And forget about a family doctor, the clinic that you stand inline for will write a prescription for some symptoms, but not treat root causes or referre to specialists. Now we have MAID, medically assisted death, if you end up with something serious or a cancer mental illness etc. the Gov't just wants to get rid of us, especially if your a senior. We get dental care if your 87 yrs old.

I lived in Toronto with my wife between Oct. 2021 and Oct. 2023. Despite earning six figures as a software developer plus my wife earning more or less the minimum wage and despite being very lucky to have a ridiculously low (for Toronto) rent of $1350 for a 2-bedroom apartment we decided to move back to Poland. We wanted to stay in Canada for longer, but with everything around being so expensive we weren't able to get a similar standard of living that we can easily afford in Europe. The fact that we didn't feel particularly safe in the city didn't help.

Singapore is the top country I want to move to from Canada, but you did it in reverse. \n\nThe wokeness, crime rates, homelessness, hate crimes, taxes and just the inflated prices of everything are the main reasons to get out of Canada. It doesn't matter what party is in control, this mess will not be clean up for a long long time (and I doubt any party wants to clean it up... more like make it worse). Canada also feels like it's not a democracy anymore. Just try to speak up against this wokeness and you'll get call whatever phobia. Just look at those one sided CBC articles.

Moved from Hungary to Jordan becouse we want to know our 4 children in islamic environment. We have everyday our own challenges becouse my husband parents were refugees from Gaza. So we don't have jordanian citizenship, we don't have many basic rights(for exaple me as a nurse and physiotherapist can get a job here becouse in the healthcare only jordanian citizens can work). BUT facing with all these difficulties we still thanks to Allah that were able to took this step to move here to make our kids belief stronger and practice their religion much more easier. Canada is not safe at all especially in Toronto the justice system is so bad there’s convicts walking everywhere and someone gets shot or stabbed everyday and everything is so expensive it’s outrageous and the rent is to expensive even some new students that come here abroad go homeless beacaus it’s so expensive

But if you don’t it’s hard. I find it so weird when they ask for Canadian experience when you just came to Canada I blame the employer they make it difficult for people to get hired and in return people leave to find a job in a different country I did the same thing came to Canada to look for work working in IT and I didn’t get IT job because I did t have any Canadian experience. After two years of working at a job that was not even what I studied I left Canada and found a job that I studied for I got a good job in America Long island New York and never looked back……. I get paid double then I would have if I had gotten a job in Canada any way ….. forget Canadian experience it’s not worth moving to Canada the country has changed. You pay more for everything in the states you get things for a lot less . Car insurance in Canada is so expensive……… do t get me started on the winter ?

Great move brother. I have been living in Canada for more than 20 years and I’m in the process of planning to wrap up everything and move. We are a big family alhamdullillah. Have been looking in to many countries but now been few days looking in to Malaysia. March break inshallah planning to go visit and see how it goes. Everywhere is the same in terms of inflations , infect having friends in Europe I know is even worse over there . I think your problem is you want to live your life very Islamic , you want everything around you being about religious in your case Islam . You tend to get high taxes in places with free health care. Many use Canada as a bridge country to the US. In the US health care is very expensive. Many companies you would work for offer free health care plans for single individuals ( if you have a family it costs a lot ) but those plans have such high deductibles and co-pays that you can't afford to use it. Most US health care plans have very high deductibles ad co-pays making it extremely expensive. Then when you retire and start getting social security which is not much money by the way, you also get Medicare which also has a monthly charge around $150 mth. It doesn't cover everything. It does not cover dental or vision. It does not cover all your hospital stay which tends to occur as you get older. Most Americans end up having to sell their homes that they spent a lifetime paying off, to pay medical bills and end up on Medicaid which is the free last resort medical care and end up in a nursing home to end your days. Most nursing homes are bad. You end up in a 2 person room, in diapers, up for meals and back to bed, diaper changed 2 times per shift and one shower per week done by whomever in the communal shower room. Shelves until you die, which many do very quickly out of despair. After working your whole life that is the prize folks in the US.

Unites States is not a good choice right now, everything is very expensive, healthcare, food, housing very expensive and homeless people everywhere, and it is very hard to get a job right now.

Canada is becoming more like India. Too many Indians are bringing in their fake education credentials to get jobs. I recently interviewed a so-called engineer and I figured that everything was bogus. Indians can destroy any well-functioning system.

Stop listening and getting facts from CBC,,,the government is the problem and not the solution,,,,stop looking to them for help. Everything is happening because of our government.

Expect higher prices for everything. Less food, medicine and places to live. More crime. America is slowly becoming a third world country. We all stand separated by opinions. The lack of nationalism is our weakness. Get ready for your city to become a dystopian nightmare.

Canada, in my opinion, is a fourth-world country with poor leadership. They rely a lot on the USA for everything. People who migrate come with significant experience from their home country but get frustrated and disappointed when they don't get similarly skilled jobs. Too many chiefs but no soldiers. Suggestions- patience, leave your baggage of experience back home as it will serve no purpose. Try and mingle with local culture. Don't force your views. What I saw 40 years back is no longer the same in 2024.

Americans that were born and not brought into America should have housing and everything they need before all these other people get what they need

Most of these issues unfortunately are world wide and not just Canada. Yes everything change during/after the \npandemic. Try and go living in France for example, good luck with that. Lets not even talk about South America \nand a lot of other placesare like that. Happy go get lucky times are over folks, unless the whole system changes\n...or collapses.

The problem is too much government at all levels. It bogs everything down and spoils everything, because it breeds liberal thinking, which eliminates creativity and capitalism and treats every problem as something to be regulated and taxed into oblivion. We desperate need to get rid of all the government.

Having done a similar voyage, my two-pence is that, resources permitting, at least until you have really properly tried the other country out for a period of time, I'd recommend retaining a base, even if a small one, in Canada, leaving your longer term stuff there rather than packing everything that you own and dragging across the world. In my experience, the most enhancing and liberating situation is one where you get to enjoy the privilege of being able mix the best of the two worlds. When abroad in the other Muslim country you will have great moments but - guaranteed - also a fair share of disappointments and negative experiences. Even if you think you have thought of everything, you don't know what you don't know, or how you may feel, or what and where is better, until you've spent a longer time over there. I could write a book by now but will just leave you with go, explore, see, try, but ideally have an easy way to come back to Canada to regroup (to potentially try again, better and differently with a bit more experience). As a born and raised Canadian of immigrant parents, i have definitely noticed the increasing influx of people leaving this country in recent months. This issue has popping up more in the news, just around this year. Canada needs immigrants, thats true for the long term it will benefit the country, but right now its more of the drawbacks that are manifesting. Accepting More immigrants means that more resources are needed, that means and so many tax paid social services and benefits like housing, healthcare, welfare, citizenship applications, waitlists, wait times, lineups, everything is getting longer and pushed back. I get what everyone feels.

Born and raised in Canada. Like all western places, you need tons of money to have a great life. It's true that everything's gotten worse. It's hard to make friends--it's easier in most other places. The people are very resigned, complacent--in other words, fearful and subservient. People in general have a poor undertanding of geopolitics...lots of naivite. There are some genuinely kind people but most are burnout, struggling to get by, living with their parents.

Unfortunately they get here and they'll be handed everything from the government while people are killing themselves because they can't get hired for a job or get approved for a school loan to get into school while illegal people come here get given a green and a house a monthly check and a job and told they matter the most...

As a Malaysian Muslim, I always taking everything for granted. We are not perfect but we got everything wè need to live. Halal foods everywhere. Almost any kinds of foods we got halal version of it. From where I live, I could hear azhan from 5 different mosulla and masjid. So, Malaysia is one good option too. Islam religion is protected under our constitution. And get ready if someone gives money to your kids. Part of our culture. Get ready if someone ask you guys already eat or not.

Not sure but Top muslim countries are also supporting Israil like Saudi Arabia, Dubai,..! No words to say on this, for me, wherever you are, your iman is strong so it will not effect you. I am not a mom yet so can not say anything about kids and their education or lifestyle. Here in Australia, I have seen a family of two children, mom is a Muslim and father was sikh so his family also, but the mom has settled everything in islamic way, her children are getting islamic knowledge, daugher wears hijab in school, read Quran, etc. I think you can make your home environment as of islamic so that it does not effect anyone of you , but still I am not sure as I am not a parent yet. Pray I become parent as we are married since 5 years

Just remember wherever you guys pick make sure that they speak the same dialect that you do otherwise you're going to have that learning curve of learning their dialects. It is different in a lot of places like learning to speak like the yemeni do is different than the Pakistani. So just keep that in mind. My grandfather is from Yemen and his wife who is my grandmother and my dad's side is from sudan. And they used to tell me it took them a while to understand each other. My Syrian grandmother on my mom's side would teach me words and phrases and my grandpa who was from Yemen would always make fun of me because I wasn't saying stuff right. I'm not really good at speaking Arabic but I can get by so just remember when you guys are picking somewhere to pick a place that won't be that hard to understand people. I'm only saying that because with the kids you guys send the kids to school they may learn a different dialect than what you taught at home and it will be a learning curve for them to try to understand. But I'm sure you guys will make the right decision. I just figured I would throw that in there I'm sure you already know that the dialects are a lot different and Arabic is a lot different in different parts of the world. People think Arabic is all the same and it's really different. Just like people who speak Spanish in South America speak different dialects on the Puerto Ricans just like people in Brazil don't speak Spanish they speak portuguese. Just a thing to think about. Egypt seems to be a pretty good place I have family that live in Egypt and they really liked it but I'm sure you guys will pick a place that's wonderful for your family and I can't wait till you guys know when we can see everything that you guys are doing in your new home Korean and I totally understand I am so upset the United States took the stand that they did with the genocide in Gaza and in the occupied West bank. People don't understand exactly what's going on there they don't know if they're not really up on current events and don't have any people in their family who are from a Muslim country they don't really know what's been going on. Anyway I hope you guys make the right decision for your family I know that you guys will pick the best place
