Ive lived in Canada for 51 years .there has always been a job for me in all the 4 western provinces when i have asked for work.You must be flexible and possibly travel long distances to work between cities.people are friendly and willing to help .Some friends i know go home every few years and visit their Dr.then. many others have only been to the eye Dr.and dentist .A good healthy life in the North and all the freedom one needs .Eat fish and wild meat and all the berries and mushrooms you can pick.Doctors have been available when needed.Things in Northern Canada are expensive! Everything! Plan everything you do as weather can be a problem unless you are prepared.Ive often thot of moving back home but after a visit each time i have felt that i did not have the freedom of space and the wiggle room to do as you please on your own property.Cheers!

Canadian's are losing everything. Immigration needs to end. This country can't afford to provide for more immigrants. As lifelong Canadian. I can't pay more taxes to provide for people that are going to draw down our standard of living. Working for less than the going rate. And eventually take part of my Canada pension. Fix the country you live in. Immigrants are moving here and instead of assimilating to this country. They move here and try to change this country. Making us say happy holidays. No it's merry Christmas. Remove Cross's from Catholic hospitals. Ect... And the worst not standing during the national anthem. Don't stand then you don't really want to be here. Many leave their own country, and come to Canada BECAUSE of their dislikes; extremism, culture, religion, laws, identity and in some cases backwards thinking; attempt to turn what we in society would consider as sexist, and discriminatory in some examples….\n\n…however when those same individuals finally achieve citizenship, or in some cases this starts (attempt to change Canadian law(s)) before obtaining citizenship, making moves to force the above, everything they despised, hated or disliked about their own country, into this new country ? Its like, the expectation is that we assimilate to them, not that they assimilate to their new chosen country??\n\nIt appears in some cases, going as far as attempting to rationalize why the the very thing they left their own country for, should now be a part of or have a place in Canadian society….where in any place in the World does this happen? Would it happen? Can you imagine, if I were a guest in someone else’s home, being invited over for dinner, but they had rules…like taking off your shoes when entering their home…or demanded they change their menu that they worked hard making for me to eat..or that I do not put my feet up in the coffee table or furniture…but I said, screw that, I don’t agree with their rules..I’m just going to do what I want! What would be the outcome do you think if I were to disrespect their rules?\n\nWhen Canadians have the audacity to say NO, we’re not interested in adopting …the rules/laws of the country they just abandoned…we’re now somehow insulted, or angered the guest? …the same Canada that has welcomed, provided safety, roof over their heads, food on the table, an education for their children, and provided access to our medical (albeit far from perfect) infrastructure.\n\nTo stomp their feet, bang their fist on the table when discovered that it’s expected to take four years of your life to become a doctor (which btw if you’re smart enough to become a doctor, you should be smart enough to of researched the expectations, PRIOR to coming to Canada) in the Country that YOU have chosen to spend the rest of their lives in, to have to work in a job to help support you and your families transitions,…imho, is NOT an unreasonable ask….that 4-5 years of their next 40-50+ ? Well, if that is considered a hardship, then maybe they need to rethink their intent. Maybe, the grass WAS greener in their former Country?!! \n\nI think to expect or demand to just step into or handed on a silver platter all the goodies without having to except to take the not so good…is imho ignorant, arrogant and selfish.\n\nEven with our flaws, Canada is one of the best places to live on the planet. It’s takes hard work, investment and community to make/keep Canada

Everything about Quebec is true but the hard core French people and the Provincial Government make it the worst Canadian Province because of their attitude to the rest of Canada! I once took a trip there and asked someone for directions; because I didn't speak French they started yelling and swearing at me in French and walked off. Everything there is in French yet the rest of the country is bilingual, why do they not need to be bilingual as well?

I have been to every province and territory in Canada country, are trying to paint a untruthful picture of Canada (yes I am Canadian). Halifax is hole that needs to be filled in, people are very unfriendly, high cost for everything. Vancouver is full of drug addicts and whores, terrible traffic, terribly high cost of living, rains a lot a. Vancouver is like California in the US, people go to make money and then get the hell out. Ottawa is nicer than Toronto, just a lot of over paid federal employees. Alberta should be number one. Quebec is a long ways from number one that is for sure, often Quebecers are the rudest people in North America, I know that for sure....... .

I'm preparing to move to Canada in future. Is it hard for a translator/interpreter to find a job in Canada? Currently i know 3 languages, which are English, French and Russian, and i'll have a linguistics degree soon. I heard that everywhere in Canada everything needs to be written both in English and French. Does it mean that translators will always have work or am i wrong? Thank you! ?

Everything i go into a best buy, I am asked at least 7 or 8 times if I need help with anything. Its very annoying.

I'm currently planning to immigrate to Canada. As for me, the very reason why I want to move there is to have better life. There are some great points mentioned to this video but for some cases, most especially if you talk about other underpriviledge countries, Canada is much more better. I'm from the Philippines and I would say that our country is suffering from everything. High price of goods, salary for CAD375 minimum (for a month even you're bachelor degree holder), no health benefits (unless you are working in a private company that offers benefits), no educational benefits (I would consider scholarship but that wouldn't enough to survive in every semester that you'll take). Senior Citizens / PWD that only gets benefit from their 20% discount in every purchase they make for medicine and food and seniors sometimes didn't get their pensions... so on and so forth.\n\nI think, it all boils down from what country you came from and differences of the gov't system that they have. And all of us needs to work hard to get a better life. It will always depends on our decision on what lifestyle do you choose or how do you live your life or what life do you want to live.\n\nBut to conclude this, this is a great video. This a great heads up for those who wants to come to Canada.

My aunt and uncle are trying to move back to Haiti. Google Haiti and our safety issues. Yet my uncle and aunt are trying to go back. Honestly that tells me all I need to know. Not bashing Canada in any way. But my uncle was a qualified engineer and my aunt a nurse. They're native french speakers, good English speakers. They went back to school and did everything right, passing all the exams, only to be offered part time employment and no career progression whatsoever. They got passed on for promotions and raises. They're happy they offered a better life to their children, but as they age, they're trying to go back home to Haiti.

This whole “micro aggression” nonsense is what completely makes people not take racism seriously and as a real issue. I for one am not saying I’m one of those people but I’m just making an observation. This is crazy to me, I brought my mom from El Salvador as a US permanent resident in May of 2019. I filed all the paper work and here she is now. You can't just leave everything to the lawyer without you getting involved. I feel bad for her. I am 32 year now myself. In other words we need to read and learn. Just by seeing this makes me think if this is what was happening when I was in a cvs one time. I ordered some stones for my nails online but it was going to come later thin I needed so I seen cvs had some stones with a set of nails but I was not able to decide on what stones so I bought one of all the ones they had but I had a lady walk pass me so many times. I happened to notice after a week later a go back to pick up medication and they put the nails in the front of the store. Smh I have everything I need when it comes to my nails and know never buy it from cvs. They was high priced anyways. It cost me 32 dollars for the 10 stones at cvs and my order online was 25 for 100 stones.

I’m dual citizenship, I live in the states now. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE HEALTH CARE!!!! It is NOT FREE!! You pay 14+ consumption tax and 40 - 50 percent income tax. It’s public, so you wait for everything. Yes the drs and nurses are great, but they work in constructed socialized system. They need to ration their time and services. Good that u mentoned health care system Drew,but i think that you should've talk more about that.USA has one of the worst HC systems in the world,which means you dont have free health care and you need to pay for everything.. I think CBSA and CIC should look into fraud regarding work permits, Chinese students using ghost companies to gain work experience without even working in the company. They pay this fake company to do the paperwork as if they work in their office just to gain work experience and then get PR. These companies promote their service all over Chinatown in Toronto. They will take care of everything, you don't need to be in the country at all or even show up for work. Yes I am snitch whatever..

It's everywhere!! Sometimes when I'm being followed in a store I'll ask security to help carry my items. They don't like that. I'm not a thief and I don't like being followed, so if you want to follow me then help!\nDirty jokes, police brutality, accusations and more. I'm expected to except it, well I don't. If it were done to them they would feel the same way I do. Here's the thing, I'm bi-racial (2/5 white). On applications they cross that out and mark black. That's a lie and makes me look untruthful. As someone who is more liberal minded, I don't agree with illegal immigration (I'm also pretty fiscally conservative). I'm open to the idea of healthcare for all, I'm open to legalized pot (even though I hate pot), I don't agree with most wars, and I don't give a rats ass who someone marries or who makes your cake. But all those things are for CITIZENS. That CITIZENS should have. Not someone who comes here just because they think everything is free, don't need to learn English and probably not pay taxes. This is supporting something illegal. I wish democrats could stick up for this country, rather than certain demographics. I believe we would never lose again if they could do that. This is the reason healthcare for all cannot be talked about right now. We have people thinking they can come here and do nothing with how things are now. Imagine if healthcare was free.

I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. Why does he absolutely need to settle in Canada or the USA and cry when they don't want him? Go mother fucker, go anyplace in the world you want, just go.

My daughter in law came to America, got her visa, green card and international drivers license. She did all that under a year. She does everything expected of her and has not had any problems. She got a real job and has never asked the US Govt to support her in any way. People that do what is expected of them have no issues. It's those that sneak in and bypass and abuse the system that pay the price for their crime. While I feel for the children it's their very own parents that did it to them. Put the Blame where it lies. Americans are only asking them to come into our country legally, pay for your documents needed to stay. If not you need to go just like any other country in the world.

I hate that at my work that we have a 5 foot rule; if a customer is within sight in 5 feet of you, you are to ask them if they need help with anything. Whether or not we suspect them of stealing. We don't discriminate racially, we do this with every person who walks into the store. Which is ridiculous because our store is very small and we have anywhere between 3 and 6 employees on the floor at any given time. So, inevitably, every customer is offered help many many times in their visit. I am always worried that a person of colour will think I'm profiling them, when I'm really not. I genuinely just want to know if they're finding everything they need or have any questions. If we were to racially profile based on the people who have stolen from us in the past, we'd be going after every white person who walks in the store. In my 3 years working there we have had only white people steal from us. So sick of the race issue, we're all humans. The amount of melanin in our skin should not matter.

THATS WHY its best we learn to fix our people in a whole in our country before bringing in anymore foreigners who do not respect our nation. lets stop third world immigration and work on making our country great again. so we can stop all this crime in our neighborhoods. because it hinders our progress. once every race color ethnicity of people are acting right then we will have no prejudice based off color or even gender because everyone is giving everyone respect. but because CRIME IS HIGH in all foreign races, and we continue to disrespect eachother. nobody feels safe anymore. whether your light skinned white or black.

I am a TPS holder from el salvador for about 20 years with 3 kids born in Tennessee. and that program will end in September 2019, , i have to go back to my country and there is nothing i can do to stay in this country usa that have gave me everything what i have ; a beautiful family and a house that i am selling for 300,000 a nice car Toyota camry selling for 7000, a Nissan Frontier selling for 8000, a HVAC technical diploma and a good hvac job(60,000a year) but i just woke up and i found out that this dream already ends, ,,,,,,,,,,,, but i am not crying feeling like a Donald Trump victim.........guest what?
