I’m American, and as hurtful it is to say that, because I know it’s gonna affect me. I stand with Canada. I would do the same. This is a disgraceful administration we are now.

An average American says.......WE ARE SORRY CANADA !!! Forgive the fools that voted for #Drump.

With Trudeau on his way out, involved with no more negotiations, he can say it like it is. Love it! Love Doug Ford too. Canadas premier! Wish more would do the same.

I would say Mr Trudeau stay in your country i do not want anything from Canada

The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. A malignant naracistic individual apparently cannot have anyone seemingly to be 'doing better' or being more successful than he is. Canada ?? is a very successful nation and because of its economic success it is creating envy and apparently hatred in certain individuals who view the success of Canada ?? as a threat to themselves. The USA now apparently cannot see the value of a strong and stable economy as its near neighbours. Thats why apparently there are some who now want to crash the Canadian economy and when times then 'get tough' the blame and responsibility for this chaos will be accepted by whom. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go. Once their 'term is over' they simply 'walk away'. World leaders need to be men or women of integrity and honesty who 'do the right thing'. With 'great power' comes 'great responsibility'. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. A person with the mind and mentality of a child apparently is not a fit person to be running the economy of any nation. May Canada ?? remember its roots and may we all be thankful for true and honest leaders who have integrity and do and say the right thing. Thank you Mr Prime minister. I trust that King Charles III has heard what his Canadian prime minister has said and what he is doing with total integrity.

Zalinski has just messaged that he wants to sign the mineral deal with president Trump..He regrets how the meeting went at the White House. and he wants peace as soon as possible... Canada...all you have to do is STOP THE FENTINAL..and INVASIONS OF ILLIGALS.stop trusting Trudeau. He is leaving..He has been a dictator with your truckers and farmers. I just watch mr trump speak with regards to tariff impose on canada mexico and china..he's proud in saying that a lot of foriegn companies will soon build factories and offices in the US. Providing billions of jobs and revenue. He said that if these companies would come to the United States where will be no tariff, lower taxes and easy life for the Americans. My question is: is he trying to kill other countries?? He said Ukriane is gambling with WW3, well i can say its WAR with GUNS..what he is doing is already WW3 using economic saborage...just my opinion...

I am gobsmacked with all the comments left on here from Americans standing with Canada... that's the way it should be however, how in the hell did that SOB get into office yet again if everyone is saying they did not vote for him. Well idk my market is going up very nice today. Also we can make every Canadian goods at home so that there is no weight to his words in my eyes. I do say if Canada is doing all these measures though it would be nice to come to an agreement with Canada. To be friends with neighbors is always better than not being friends. So overall I'm kinda torn between it all. We don't need Canada to be honest but just because we don't need them does not mean we should not work with them. Very tuff situation at this moment.

Gotta disagree w/ Mr. Trudeau on one point, when he says Trump is 'very smart'--NO. Otherwise, Trudeau's speech was spot-on, and I love and respect Canada even more now. To gather some semblance of sanity, I am taking the family on a Canadian Rockies tour in late spring--am tempted to not return home again.

As a US citizen, I apologize on behalf of this corrupt administration. I certainly didn't vote for the ??, and I'm not sure how anyone could have... yet, here we are. Half of the US certainly deserves it, and I fully understand the need for extreme measures at this point. What he did to Zelenskyy and what he is doing to our allies...yall do what ya gotta do. Half of us are rooting for Canada, Ukraine, and our allies. Idk what's wrong with the other half, but its shameful to say the least. It was never about fentanyl. It is evident that comments like the one from @robertedward7023 demonstrate many, many people do not know what took place at the meeting before this meeting which should have made this meeting a simple signing of the agreement. VP Vance corrected Zelensky for his attempt to propagate his agenda and now that Germany, France and others--as NATO countries--have jumped in, there could be consequences resulting in war if they continue to push for it. As far as Trudeau, he is on his way out according to his own resignation and he has just done Canada wrong with the faulty reasoning. What would be interesting to know is how trade between Canada and Europe explodes, Europe would like all the oil and gas and rare earthminerals Canada has, so would China, if for nothing other than to prevent Americas access to it. I think trump and musk think russia will supply rare earth minerals on the cheap, but Russia is about to collapse again and various regions break away as they did last time, but this time is much worse than back then, Russia really could cease to exist and America will not benefit at all, Europe China India Mongolia will benefit. Russians hate america more than Americans hates Russia, America has been prosperous, while 40% of Russians don't have running water or electricity, yes the big cities and towns in the west are better off but most of Russia does not even have paved roads.\n\nTrump is backing his banker, and everyone knows it, pootin is using trump, very clearly shown when he set up President Zelensky in that ambush.\n\nEurope China and other countries will be in line to sign trade deals. And to set a few months before the massive cuts in trade with America as what the rapist president is doing, what republicans are doing will be biting very hard by then, and Canada cutting trade at that time will be possibly the straw that breaks trump.

From Germany to Canadians: Canada has the highest respect from what's left of the West. Stay strong. Stay vigilant. Don't lose who you are and keep standing up for what is right. It's easy to say, but there are more important things in life than money and power. America has lost its soul. Let's keep ours and move forward as true friends and allies.

As an American, I don’t watch CNN clips and believe what politicians say on either side to get my news. However, it’s absolutely true that EU, and China places tariffs on the US. It is also true that United States provide most of the security for all the free nations. At what point do we say enough? I do not know if Mexico or Canada has tariffs on US goods before this. But if they did, they have become quite entitled, haven’t they.

I don't stand with a priminister who takes his peoples guns and freezes their bank accounts. I feel for their people. I've spent a lot of time in Canada, and I can say they never mess around at the border. I thought the tariff wasn't going to be levied against Canada. Not happy about it.
