As a Nigerian that lives in Canada I am tired of Nigerians who come here and shit on the country, Peter can be talking all the garbage he wants , if he doesn’t like it he can go back to Nigeria. “ Canada makes you work for your money but Nigeria you work and enjoy” bro, that is the problem with a country as unproductive as Nigeria. And bro you say salaries in Nigeria are better than in Canada. Stop lying ! As of today the Naira is1500 to 1 Us$. Mr Journalist can you please interview successful Nigerians who are excelling in this land filled with milk and honey, Doctors, surgeons, lawyers, engineers, Nurses, Politicians, Sport’s personalities and please tell Peter to go back to Nigeria

These are their reasons:\n\nHigh cost of application.\nRampant immigration from regressive culture countries.\nExcessive government taxing.\nNeeds private healthcare system along side universal system.\nBetter health care in home country.\nBecoming a communist country.\nJustin Trudeau.\nNo significant differences between citizenship and PR.\n\nThese reasons for not seeking citizenship are personal and nuanced from their experiences in our country. There is No labour shortage! Data shows there's more people looking than there is work. People are lining around the block for low-paying jobs. Dollararrma had 2000 applicants in Waterloo for a lead cashier job. I've never known the job market to be so competitive with multiple tests, assessments and interviews for entry-level gigs. And its getting increasingly hard to get a job without speaking a foreign language. Why is mass immigration needed if they take our jobs and housing? The government says we need their tax dollars to support social programs but our social programs have declined a lot in the past decades despite mass immigration. It costs millions to process these immigrants. All immigration should be halted immediately and the processing costs used to conduct a study to determine what if any benefits we really get from this. Most countries don't take in half as many immigrants and manage just fine. People are struggling to find work and housing and the economy seems to be suffering not benefitting from immigrants. I feel for people in war-torn countries but we have been than generous to immigrants and our own citizens are hurting as a result.

it seems like the 2 people being interviewed are trying to blame Canadians for not welcoming immigrants, and that's why there leaving. how about not being able to afford groceries, or finding a doctor, or high taxes, stop trying to blame us, and start trying to find ways of making Canada more affordable smh

No one talks about the discrimination when immigrants go for job interviews. Employers will never admit and in theory it's against the law but it happens.

It's even difficult to get interview calls from IT Companies in Canada

As a person born in Canada in the 50s I have seen the change in Canada over the decade to now where this Liberal gov had torn the hell out of what once was a terrific place to work and live. This interview sounds very legit. I can see immigrants being treated poorly but you need to understand as things get worse so does the treatment of one on one. You can't expect things to go smoothly when you open the flood gates to immigration and do nothing else. Where are these people going to live. Where are the citizens that have lived in Csnada decades going to live because our government has made life intolerable. I feel sorry for the immigrants who have moved here only to find it is not what was promised

I would bet everything I can afford that if those interviews were done today you'd hear a very different point of view. \n\nThe cost of living here is unprecedented. Everything in Canada is double the price after inflation. A 250k apartment USD is 650k in Canada (500K USD). You may need to pay for your health care, but at least you are allowed to get care as soon as you find the money for it. This is not an option here. If you are dying, and on a wait list, there's no way out. You just need to pray your surgery will still work once your name comes up in a year, two years.. However long it takes.

Brother ???? , we never ever had anything against india and will never have in future. I’m from chandigarh and my father is serving in chandigarh police since last 35 yrs. My paternal grandfather was in army. But the only thing that let us felt devastated was 1984. Bro , i knw some families who suffered from 84 genocide . How do we know before they step foot in the US if they are convicted murderers or people that have a history of trafficking people? Can anybody interview these people and get a feel for why they are fine with sleeping on the streets and if they know if a lot of the people coming here are dangerous? I've seen 4 interviews all by citizens and they all said they have considered going back home because there are so many cartel people being planted all around the United States. I understand some of these people want a better life and that's fine..just please allow yourself to be background checked enough to make sure you aren't a danger to any of the citizens of this country

If you go anywhere in the world as a refuge you will definitely suffer. I like your perspective. People should research for themselves or get first hand information.

Excellent Interview I have ever seen. This gentleman is very dynamic . He has great courage and taking decision with very confidence, and that is why he became an industrialist in Canada. He has inspired me at the age of 75+. I started business with only Rs.10 thousand in India. I succeed and developed my business very nicely. Some how taking some wrong emotional decision on my family issue, right now I am out of business. I hope to redevelop some new business and to get success. During my business period I got US green card and got US citizenship. But still I am out of business and that is very painful for me.

The guy interviewed from Apply Board has such cunning facial expression. I would not trust that guy.

What an eye-opening interview! Looking at what has become of Canada, its absolutely fascinating. Back in the late 80's and 90's, the country was viewed as close to Utopia as you can get and preferred compared to the US. This is nuts.

I have a difficult time understanding a lot of what the man being interviewed is saying as he has a very thick accent and poor pronunciation. Subtitles might be very helpful in future videos with interview guests who speak English poorly (at least as far as pronunciation is concerned)! ?

Imagine a Canadian (gora) parents whose children had immigrated to India and living and working in Delhi. They are in India to see their children. Now podcast their interview about their life in India and if they would like to spend rest of the life with their children in India.

There are just so many misinformation and misrepresentation from this video. \n\nFor example, for how long has the person you are interviewing reside in Canada to be able to come to those conclusion? Is the person working full time? He said he is a research student so how does he know what it is to work and not enjoy your money when he is just a research student who is not earning salary? \n\nEveryone will just come to Canada and be talking down on the country. Why not go to US, UK or Australia and go find out if people are faring better there.\n\nSalary will be better in Nigeria where you are not paying taxes on most things. Having 3 cars and driver means nothing in developed countries. \nWe all have hands to drive ourselves around. \n\nWhat majority of these people that give negative comments about Canada is experiencing is called Culture Shock. Period!
