And I'm pretty sure that India has a lower rejection rate compared to many other countries. It is the sheer volume of applications that contribute to this. Even 1% rejection on 100k Indian visas is a 1000 rejected visas. While a less populous country may have 10% rejection out of 1000 visas which is 100 rejections. So, in % terms, India fare well despite having higher rejections.\nFiring shots at Kosovo, Cuba and B Faso is a cheap shot and unnecessary to push the point of passport rank. All countries have a right to determine who they allow into their country with lower restrictions. And they are under no obligation to open the gates to anyone. A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. Well said! I hope our Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes note. It's high time India earns global respect, particularly from the UK, USA and EU. Offering arrival visas to income tax filers could be a game-changer and a start to that direction and will motivating more people to file returns to get that pride status. Currently, only 3% of Indians file tax returns, whereas at least 10% should. This initiative would benefit India and provide developed countries with a better filtering process.

I think most western countries are fed up with indian scams and calll center scams. On a daily basis people get 3-10 calls from scam indian call centers. Usa lost over 10 billion dollars to indian scammers last year. Maybe shut down those scam centers and catch those criminals and maybe western countries will start allowing more indian visas.

I’m from Mexico and I lived in Canada for 5 years back in 2009. Back then, Canada was the country where everyone wanted to migrate to. It was a dream. I was so fortunate to have been able to secure a job in a country that I had always dreamed of. I left bc I married my husband and moved to Louisiana. Now, I have a 3 bedroom house, a 2025 new car, three children and a well paying job. I’m not a millionaire, but I have a confortable life. My next door neighbors, moved from Calgary to Louisiana (where I live). This family, has a confortable life as well. I’m so sorry that all this happening to such a beautiful country. Canadians are one of the most welcoming people I have met.

Oh, no… our emergency room wait times average is probably around 3 hours (give or take). While 15 to 20 minutes sounds absolutely awesome, it’s not happening here, unfortunately. And that’s because we don’t have enough medical doctors in emergency care. The majority of them are in private practice, (because it pays better) and even then, there aren’t enough doctors for our growing population. I will admit, though, if you don’t want to go to a hospital emergency room to be seen you can always access walk-in clinics which are all over the place. You don’t have to pay. You just show your OHIP card (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) and the wait is probably less than an hour to be seen. Our Walmarts have walk-in clinics, for example. Easy access, less wait times. Of course, these clinics are not for major emergencies such as heart attacks, bleeding, broken bones, etc., but they definitely come in handy if you don’t have a family physician.

I went through this twice during COVID. Two tenants stopped paying one after the other and lost over 50k. Sadly, the only option is to take her to small claims court but in order to do that you need an eviction order and sheriff documents. Even if he does get to that point, they can o lay garnish her wages and at that point, she can avoid paying and jump from place to place changing addresses info and job details. Professional renters know the system and they work it to screw the landlords. One tenant I had actually believed that if they rent the house they “own the home”. Even if you call the police they won’t do anything. If the government just allowed the police to arrest and charge these people I think it would help but they don’t. It’s horrible. I’m actually thinking of selling my home because of the financial burden it’s been post COVID. I have good tenants now but only after using most of the equity to pay off the damage and missed rent from the last 3 tenants….
